5 Arrested For Break & Enter – Names Released

(PARIS, ON) – Five individuals have been charged following a break and enter investigation in Paris.

At approximately 1:05 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with support from the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, responded to a reported break and enter to a residence on Dumfries St. in Paris.

Three individuals were located inside the residence and taken into custody immediately. Two other individuals were located later that day.

As a result, 19-year-old Yousef ELHADI, 20-year-old Malou AKOT, 22-year-old Henok TESFAY and 27-year-old Anwar ADAM, all of Kitchener, were charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Break and enter

All four were released on a Form 10 and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.

Further, 34-year-old Earl KEOUGH of Waterloo was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order – 2 counts

Keough was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Cathelina Antonissen – Meth, Cocaine

(PARIS, ON) – On April 26, 2025, one individual was arrested and is facing charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received an automated licence plate reader (ALPR) hit for a stolen vehicle.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:59 a.m., a Brant OPP officer was patrolling a local parking lot, when the officer received an ALPR hit on a licence plate for a stolen vehicle.

The investigation confirmed the vehicle was stolen and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine were located inside the vehicle.

Cathelina Antonissen, 40-years-old of Woodstock, Ontario is charged with the following:

  • CC Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • CDSA Possession of a schedule 1 substance

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on June 19, 2025.

Brant OPP Weekend Update

(PARIS, ON) – A 28-year-old from the County of Brant was arrested after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment members responded to a call for a person sleeping behind the wheel of a car at a construction site.

On Thursday November 28, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Brant County OPP responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a vehicle on Silver Street in Paris. One person was arrested and transported to the Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 28-year-old Marissa MORSCHAUSER of the County of Brant with the following offence:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on December 13, 2024.

INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGES

(GLEN MORRIS, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into an impaired driving incident in Glen Morris.

At approximately 11:06 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment responded to an address on East River Road in the County of Brant.

As a result, one person was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following offences is 30-year-old Kelsey MANTIE of Middlesex County:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on December 13, 2024.

INDIVIDUAL CHARGED FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On November 29, 2024, at approximately 8:19 p.m., the Brant County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address in the County of Brant, to a reported assault involving intimate partners.

As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old from Brant County has been charged with the following offences:

·        Assault

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was held in custody to appear at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario.

IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED AFTER CONCERNED CITIZEN REPORTS TRAFFIC COMPLAINT

(PARIS, ON) A 50-year-old from Brant County was arrested after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment members responded to a traffic complaint Saturday evening in the County of Brant.

On Saturday November 30, 2024, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Brant County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 24 in the County of Brant. The caller observed driving behaviour that caused them to be concerned and contacted police. Police located the vehicle where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County OPP detachment for testing.

Police have charged 50-year-old Maurice BARNES, from the County of Brant with the following offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on December 12, 2024.

INTIMATE PARTNER INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGE

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – On Sunday December 1, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Brant County OPP were dispatched to an address in the County of Brant to a report of an assault-in-progress. The investigation determined that an interaction occurred within a residence and one person was assaulted. No injuries were reported.

As a result, a 36-year-old was charged with the following offences:

·      Assault – Spousal

The accused has been released from custody and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

More Impaired Drivers Arrested

 (PARIS) – An 18-year-old from Brant County is facing charges after a concerned citizen contacted Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to report a traffic complaint in the County of Brant Sunday morning.

On Sunday September 1, 2024, at approximately 6:20 a.m., an officer with the Brant County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Capron Street in the County of Brant.

Police located the vehicle on Market Street where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 18-year-old, Kira PINK, from Brant County with the following offences:

·             Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·             Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),

·             Adult Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available

·             Young Driver – B.A.C Above Zero

·       Young Driver – B.A.C Above Zero

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

PROACTIVE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO CRIMINAL CHARGES

 (NEWPORT) – On Sunday, September 1, 2024, at approximately 1:13p.m., an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County detachment initiated a traffic stop on Sour Springs Road in the County of Brant.

The officer was conducting routine patrols, when they stopped a vehicle to confirm proper licensing and registration.

Police have charged Joshua GOBIN, 48-years-old, from Brantford with the following offences:

 ·      Adult Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code – two counts    

·       Driving while under suspension – two counts

·       Adult Use plate not Authorized for vehicle

 The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford at a later date.

IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED WHILE LEAVING PARIS FAIR

(PARIS) An 18-year-old from Oxford County has been arrested after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment members conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle exiting the Paris Fair Saturday evening in the County of Brant.

On Saturday August 31, 2024, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Brant County OPP were conducting traffic control on Keg Lane in the County of Brant. Police stopped a vehicle to confirm the sobriety of the driver.

As a result, police have charged William AARNOUDSE, an 18-year-old, from Oxford County with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
