82 Year Old Runs Stop Sign Sending Innocent Pedestrian to Hospital

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – Charges have been laid against a driver following a collision involving a pedestrian. 

On October 16, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Garafraxa Street East and Cameron Street in Fergus. During the collision, a pedestrian was also struck.

The vehicle occupants did not sustain any injuries, and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, an 82-year-old from Brantford, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Disobey stop sign – fail to stop

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph on a later date.

Cesar CUBIAS-GONZALEZ Facing Numerous Charges

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A member of the Leamington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment observed a vehicle without proper headlights.

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., an officer was on patrol on Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington, when they observed a motor vehicle operating with headlights.  

As the officer conducted a traffic stop by activating their emergency lights, the driver continued through an intersection controlled by a stop sign and almost struck another vehicle.  

Upon speaking to the driver, the officer detected signs of impairment. As a result, driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

As a result, Cesar CUBIAS-GONZALEZ, a 40-year-old of Leamington was charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused is also facing an additional 11 charges under the Highway Traffic Act, Liquor Licence Control Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act including:

  • Disobey Stop Sign Fail to stop  
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available  
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled the appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on November 4, 2025.

A 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension was issued and vehicle impounded for 45 days as per statue.

Keelan Keeshig Was Arrested

(ARCHIPELAGO, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On October 20, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 69 in Archipelago Township. Officers attended and initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Keelan Keeshig, 33 years-of-age of Shawanaga First Nation was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – opioid

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 27, 2025. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Arrest In Hensall – Details Released

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with Prohibited Driving along with other offences following a traffic stop on October 6th, 2025. 

On Monday, October 6th, just after noon, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in the Village of Hensall, Municipality of Bluewater.  

The investigating officer confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Ryley INGHAM, 24 years-of-age from Bluewater, has been charged with:

–      Operation while Prohibited.

The accused was additionally charged with three offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), three offences found in the Off-Road Vehicles Act (ORVA), one offence found in the Trespass to Property Act (TPA), and one offence found in the Railway Safety Act (RSA).

The ATV involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 1st, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Assault In Goderich – One Arrested

(GODERICH, ON) – On October 6th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.

A 28-year-old individual from Goderich has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

–      Assault – Spousal.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later remanded into custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 10th, 2025.

Belly-Bump Rollover Leads To Charges

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Atikokan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged the driver of a tractor trailer unit after a single vehicle collision on Highway 622.

On October 20, 2025, at approximately 2:00 pm, Atikokan OPP responded to a report of a truck collision on Highway 622 at the Rawn Reservoir. A tractor trailer unit with a fully loaded belly-dump gravel trailer lost control on a corner and rolled off the highway. The vehicle was a total loss and the driver walked away with only minor injury.

Kevin Terry ANDERSON, 49-years-old from Atikokan was issued a Provincial Offence Notice and is charged with one count of careless driving.

Commercial motor vehicle (CMV) collisions on OPP-patrolled roads remain a serious road safety issue. Aggressive and careless driving behaviours such as speeding, improper lane changes and following too closely are among the lead contributing factors in CMV collisions every year. Shawn FRASER Was Arrested

(DUTTON DUNWICH, ON) One person is charged with impaired driving following a three-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:08 p.m., Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a motor vehicle collision on Iona Road at Talbot Line.

Minor injuries were reported.

Shawn FRASER, 35-years-old from Southwest Middlesex was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available (Liquor Licence and Control Act)

A 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on the Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Colin QUIN Facing Numerous Charges After Wrong Way Incident

(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving related charges against an individual from Ottawa, after the driver collided with another vehicle while driving the wrong way on Highway 417.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on October 19, Ottawa OPP members received multiple reports of a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Highway 417. The vehicle was travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes, near Panmure Rd. in Ottawa’s west end. The vehicle then collided with another motorist. The driver of the vehicle that was struck suffered minor injuries. Officers suspected the driver of the wrong way vehicle had been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening device was utilized and the driver was brought back to detachment for further testing. The driver registered more than three times the legal limit. 

As a result, Colin QUIN, 32 years of age, faces the following charges:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to stop after accident
  • Drive wrong way – divided highway
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
  • Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused had his driver licence suspended for 90-days and had his vehicle impounded for seven days. He is set to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.

$73,000 “Drug” Bust

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – As part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Dufferin CSCU, along with general patrol officers and the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a search warrant at a property on Victoria Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.

In early summer 2025, the Nottawasaga CSCU initiated an investigation after receiving information that a cannabis store located on Victoria Street West in Alliston was allegedly selling and distributing products without a valid licence.

On October 16, 2025, at approximately 11:40 a.m., members of the CSCU and CRU attended 119 Victoria Street West, Alliston, to execute a Cannabis Act search warrant at Mohawk Medical 420. As a result of the investigation, officers seized a substantial quantity of illegal cannabis products and derivatives.

A total of 27.4 lbs. of dried cannabis was seized, with an estimated value of $27,400. Officers also seized 102 units of cannabis butter valued at $2,500, and 68 units of cannabis oil with an estimated value of $2,590. Additionally, hundreds of edible cannabis products were recovered, valued at approximately $22,587, along with hundreds of pre-rolled cannabis products worth $3,545. The seizure also included 1.2 kg of suspected hash, estimated at $12,300, numerous packs of THC vape products valued at $1,620, and multiple packs of shatter worth $1,165. The total estimated value of the seized items is $73,707.

As a result Michele CHIASSON 45-years-old of New Tecumseth was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
  • Possession of illicit cannabis

George FIDALGO, 52-years-old of New Tecumseth was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
  • Possession of illicit cannabis
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking – Four counts

The accused individuals are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

19 Year Old Facing Murder Charge

(MIDLAND, ON) – One individual is in custody following a serious incident that occurred on Hanna Street in Midland yesterday afternoon.

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, just after 5:30 p.m., officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a stabbing inside a residence on Hanna Street in the Town of Midland. Upon arrival, officers located a 64-year-old male suffering from serious injuries.

A suspect was found elsewhere within the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

Once the scene was secured by responding officers, the injured male received essential care from Simcoe County Paramedics and the Midland Fire Department. He was first transported to a local hospital and subsequently transferred to a Toronto-area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Griffin BLACK, 19 years old, of Midland, ON, has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 20, 2025. 

Police presence in the area has decreased however officers continue to investigate at the scene of the incident. A thank you to community concern for a family pet that escaped the home during the incident, the pet is safe and has been returned.

Drug Bust – Delon ANDREW, Ian PETRAITIS & Justin PETRAITIS

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough County / Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have charged three individuals as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.

In August of 2025, the Peterborough / Northumberland CSCU began an investigation into trafficking in the Norwood area.

On Wednesday October 15, 2025, members of the Peterborough County/Northumberland CSCU located and arrested an individual in the Asphodel-Norwood Township related to the investigation. Subsequent to the arrest, a warrant was executed at a residence in Norwood where two other individuals were located and arrested. During the search of the residence, officers located cocaine, Canadian currency, digital scales, and cell phones, all of which were seized.  

Delon ANDREW (age 25) of Scarborough, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

• Trafficking in Schedule I substance – Cocaine – three counts

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 in Canada

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Ian PETRAITIS (age 55) of Norwood, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 in Canada

The accused is to appear on November 25, 2025, before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Justin PETRAITIS (age 24) of Norwood, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 in Canada

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

As a result of the arrest, the following items were seized;

• 249 grams Cocaine

• Canadian currency

• Two cell phones

• Three digital scales

Ashley ALFORD Arrested With Underage Teen & Crack Cocaine #3Strikes

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – Two people are facing charges after police seized suspected drugs during a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check on Bidwell Road in the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township. A vehicle came through the RIDE check, and police detected an odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. As a result of further investigation, the driver and passenger were arrested.

Additionally, police seized an amount of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $20,000, an amount of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $700, and an amount of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $6,000.

The driver, Ashley ALFORD, 40-years-old from Assiginack, was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available

The passenger, Jadin BOBY, 18-years-old from Burlington, was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
  • Person under 19 years possess cannabis

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on November 18, 2025.

Missing Person Found Deceased

(ESPANOLA, ON) – The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a person deceased following a missing person investigation.

On Thursday, October 9, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Manitoulin OPP responded to a report of a missing 41-year-old person in the Sables-Spanish Rivers Township area.  

Extensive search efforts were conducted with assistance from the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, Anishinabek Police Service (APS), and a civilian search party. On October 10, 2025, the missing person was located deceased.

The investigation was conducted with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCCO-OFPS).

No foul play is suspected, and the investigation is complete.

Larry WOODS – Assault

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual was charged following an assault investigation in Waterford.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 11:23 a.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault on Main Street South in Waterford.

The investigation determined that two individuals had an interaction during which on person physically assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.

As a result, 59-year-old Larry WOODS of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

OWL Attack Sends One Youth To Hosptial

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person has been charged after a youth was injured by a weapon during a community event.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an injured youth at a community event north of the Town of Massey. The injured youth was transported to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The investigation was conducted with assistance from the Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit and the Anishinabek Police Service (APS).

As a result of the investigation, Brandy OWL, 34-years-old from Massey, was charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on December 8, 2025.
