Tyler BENNETT – Impaired Driving

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – Prohibited driver refuses to provide breath sample.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a black pickup truck travelling on North Street in the Town of Blind River. The vehicle then turned onto Causley Street, where the driver cut off another motorist.

Police followed the pickup truck onto Lakeside Avenue, where they observed it slowly back into a driveway before the driver exited the vehicle. During the interaction, officers determined the driver had consumed alcohol and subsequently placed the individual under arrest.

The driver was transported to the Blind River detachment, where they refused to provide a breath sample.

Tyler BENNETT, 34 years-old from Blind River was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on November 6, 2025.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the involved vehicle was impounded for 7days.

The OPP is committed to keeping roads safe from impaired drivers, who continue to pose a serious risk on Ontario highways.

Emanuel Rodrigues Was Arrested

(EAST-ZORRA TAVISTOCK, ON) – An individual from Oxford County is facing a charge of refusal following a traffic complaint.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver, on Highway 59, in the Township of East-Zorra Tavistock. Officers patrolled and subsequently located the vehicle. 

Emanuel Rodrigues, 58-years-old, of Oxford County, has been charged with:

·        Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 6, 2026.

$40,000 Fraud – Larry PEVATO Charged

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A Bolton resident has been charged for fraud, following an investigation in Wellington North Township.

On June 21st, 2024, at approximately 7:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit received a report of fraud at a quarry business in Wellington North Township. The accused entered into an agreement with the business to excavate and sell materials from the property. In return, the business would receive royalties. However, throughout 2023 and 2024, it is alleged that several truckloads of material were unaccounted for, and the corresponding royalties were not received. The business has lost more than $40,000.

As a result of the investigation, Larry PEVATO, a 64-year-old from Bolton, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Fraud over $5,000 (two counts)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 28, 2025.

Michelle SEXSMITH Was Arrested Again

(CAMLACHIE, ON) – Police have taken one individual into custody in Camlachie.

On November 5, 2025, just before 11:00 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an individual breaching court ordered conditions.

Police attended a residence on Mia Lane in Camlachie, located within the Municipality of Plympton-Wyoming.

68-year-old Michelle SEXSMITH of Lambton County was taken into custody without incident. The individual was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

·      Fail to comply with release order

There were no concerns for public safety. The response was part of an ongoing investigation into a court order compliance.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia.

$1.6 Million “Drug” Bust

 (BRIGHTON, ON) – An investigation in Brighton has resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of 580 illicit cannabis plants and more than 1,100 pounds of dried illicit cannabis bud.

On Monday, October 27, 2025, members from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), along with the OPP Emergency Response Team and members of the Northumberland and Peterborough OPP Detachments and Northumberland and Peterborough Community Street Crime Units, executed a warrant at a location on Boes Road in Brighton. The location consisted of a greenhouse area which contained illicit cannabis plants in different stages of growth.

Officers seized a total of 580 illicit cannabis plants and approximately 1,100 pounds of dried illicit cannabis bud. The combined value of the illegal cannabis is estimated at more than $1.6 million.

As a result of the investigation, the following five individuals were each charged two offences under the Cannabis Act, specifically unlawfully cultivate, propagate or harvest a cannabis plant (s. 12[4][a]) and possession for the purpose of distribution (s. 9[2]):

  • Junjiang KE, age 51 of Markham
  • Minghua XUE, age 63 of Toronto
  • Nenmei CHEN, age 62 of Markham
  • Qiao Quan CHEN, age 38 of Scarborough
  • Yongzhong KE, age 77 of Markham

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Liam WANNAMAKER Was Arrested

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Central Region Snow Vehicle, All-Terrain Vehicle, Vessel Enforcement and Education (SAVE) Team of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting joint patrols with a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) Conservation Officer in Simcoe County. During the patrol, a routine stop led to a driver being charged under the Criminal Code of Canada.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, an OPP SAVE Team member was conducting joint patrols with an MNR and Forestry Conservation Officer in Simcoe County. The patrol focused on enforcement related to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act (FWCA), Off-Road Vehicles Act, and checking hunters for firearm safety.

During these routine patrols, officers stopped a vehicle under the authority of the FWCA. During the interaction, an odour of alcohol was detected.

As a result of the investigation, Liam WANNAMAKER, 24 of Wasaga Beach, was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:

• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand 

The accused was also served with a 90-day automatic driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment notice.

Officers want to remind everyone that this offence carries the same penalties as impaired driving, including a criminal record, driver’s licence suspension, a minimum $2,000 fine, and possible jail time. Even if you haven’t consumed alcohol or drugs, refusing a test is treated just as seriously. Cooperating with police helps keep our roads safe for everyone.

Impaired driving remains a serious threat to community safety. Officers continue to work in partnership with other agencies to ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws. If you suspect someone is driving impaired, call 9-1-1 immediately. Your call could save a life.

Jeffrey FLORIA – Drunk Driving

(WAWA, ON)- The Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) pull over a vehicle travelling at a low rate of speed.

On Monday, October 20, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., members of the Superior East OPP detachment conducted a traffic stop on Churchill Ave in the Town of Wawa.

A breath test was completed using an Approved Screening Device (ASD), resulting in a FAIL. The driver was arrested and transported to Wawa Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Jeffrey FLORIA, 82-year-old male from Wawa, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa on December 8, 2025.

Thomas MUSGRAVE – Drunk Driving

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP along with Belleville Police Service we were conducting a R.I.D.E. program, when a driver was arrested and transported to the Quinte West Detachment for further testing.

Thomas MUSGRAVE, age 41, from Frankford, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 4, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.

Fatal Collision – West Perth

(WEST PERTH, ON) – One person has died following a single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth.

On September 30, 2025, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services and North Perth Fire Department, responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Perth Road 173 and Perth Line 72.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old resident from Mitchell, was transported to a trauma centre for treatment.

On October 24, 2025, the driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

This investigation is ongoing. Michael MILLER Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(WAWA, ON)- The Superior East Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges prohibited driver with multiple offences.

On Monday October 27, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m., members from the Superior East OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), conducted a traffic stop on Mission Road in the Town of Wawa in relation to a suspected prohibited driver.

The driver was arrested, and during a search, police located over $2,500 in Canadian currency. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over 40 grams of suspected cocaine (estimated street value of $5,000), two digital scales and 3D-printed brass knuckles.

As a result of the investigation, Michael MILLER, 48 years-of-age, from Wawa, was charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code (two counts)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Wawa on October 28, 2025 and was remanded into custody.

Brian WATSON Was Arrested

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On November 3, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person with multiple outstanding arrest warrants. 

Police observed a wanted person operating a small grey Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Drive South. The driver, who also had a suspended license, was subsequently arrested and the SUV was towed and impounded.  

Brian WATSON, 45-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

• Drive while suspended

• Two Committal Warrants executed

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on December 17, 2025.

Numerous Home Invasions – Jessielynn FOURNIER Finally Arrested

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person in relation to multiple residential break & enters.

On November 4, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m. police were called to McKeown Road for a female who was high on drugs breaking into homes. Police attended the area and located the female who was subsequently arrested. Due to the level of intoxication, Algoma Paramedic Services transported her to the hospital for assessment and was medically cleared a short time after. 

Jessielynn FOURNIER, 30-years-old from Elliot Lake was charged with:

·      Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence – two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on December 4, 2025.

WARNING: Goderich Sexual Assault – Suspect At Large

(GODERICH, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit is investigating a report of a sexual assault in the Town of Goderich. 

On November 2nd, 2025, the Huron County OPP received a report of a sexual assault that reportedly took place on MacEwan Street just south of Suncoast Drive East in the Town of Goderich. The incident took place between 12:25 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. on November 2nd.

A description of the suspect vehicle driver was provided to police as follows:

Caucasian male, approximately 60 years-of-age, clean shaven, height approximately 5’4″, medium build, wearing a hat, denim jacket and jeans.

Investigators canvassed the area and obtained images of the vehicle believed to be involved in the crime. The vehicle is described as follows:

2014 – 2018 model year GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck, black in colour, four-door quad cab, running boards, mud flaps, chrome bumpers, and steel rims.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the vehicle and suspect driver. If you have any video surveillance available or dash-cam footage in the area of the incident at the time noted above, please contact the OPP. Incident # E251488267 refers.

Assaults: Cameron BUSH & Phoenix DRAPER Arrested

(PICTON, ON) – Two people have been charged with assault with a weapon after an incident in Picton.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, around 2:15 a.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported stabbing at a local residence.

Officers arrived to find three victims with non-life-threatening injuries. Another individual reported they were threatened with a knife.

Officers recovered a weapon at the scene, and two individuals were arrested.

Phoenix DRAPER, age 23 of Belleville, has been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Unlawfully in a dwelling
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Cameron BUSH, age 24 of Belleville, has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Weapon & Drug Bust -Darren GRAHAM & Travis JACOBS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Two individuals have been charged with weapons and cannabis-related offences following a traffic stop in Simcoe.

On Monday, November 3, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m., the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious person possibly entering vehicles in the area of Norris Street and Lee Avenue in Simcoe. While investigating, a responding officer was alerted to a nearby vehicle after receiving a notification from the police cruiser’s Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

During an interaction with the driver and passenger, the officer observed a firearm and a crossbow inside the vehicle, leading to both individuals being taken into custody. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of dried cannabis, and other cannabis products.

As result, 32-year-old Travis JACOBS of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order,
  • Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place,
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing,
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order – two counts).

Also charged is 32-year-old Darren GRAHAM, of Norfolk County, with the following alleged offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
  • Possession of over 30g of dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place,
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing,
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence,
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit,
  • No mudguard.

The accused individuals remain in custody and are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
