Mitchell MARTINS – Sexual Assault On Child

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 22-year-old individual with multiple offences following an investigation in Caledonia.   

On June 6, 2021, the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the OPP Haldimand County Crime Unit received a report of a sexual assault and began an investigation. Further inquiry determined there was an additional victim.

The investigation revealed an individual had engaged in sexually explicit conversations on social media with two young females under the age of 16 years. The individual then met with the victims on separate occasions and sexually assaulted them.

Mitchell MARTINS, 22-years old of no fixed address, is charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age (three counts)
  • Sexual interference (three counts)
  • Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age (four counts)
  • Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication (three counts)
  • Communicate with anyone under 18 years of age for the purpose of obtaining sexual services (three counts)
  • Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 18 years of age (two counts)
  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Makes, prints, publishes or possess for the purpose of publication any child pornography
  • Imports, distributes, sells, or possess for the purpose of distribution or sale any child pornography
  • Voyeurism

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.

Jason BARNES Arrested – Stolen ATV Recovered

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – On June 14, 2021 at 11:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed an unplated ATV being operated on Cameron Street, St. Clair Township.

Officers spoke with the driver who was arrested for outstanding warrants. Further investigation revealed the ATV had been reported stolen from Cobourg, ON and suspected methamphetamine was located on the individual during arrest.   

Jason BARNES, 44-years-old of St. Clair Township, has been charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance.
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on August 16, 2021.

Bradley SQUIRE – Drunk Driving

(SARNIA, ON) – On June 13, 2021 at 10:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of an erratic driver on Churchill Line, Plympton-Wyoming.

Members of Lambton County OPP attended the area and located the vehicle on Churchill Line in the city of Sarnia. Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested without incident.  

Bradley SQUIRE, 37-years-old of Sarnia has been charged with

  • Operation While Impaired- Alcohol and Blood.
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

18 Year Old Arrested Following Stabbing

(Central Elgin, ON) As a result of the investigation police have arrested and charged Mark QUATTROCIOCCHI, age 18 of Brantford, ON with:

1.     Assault with a weapon

2.     Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

QUATTROCIOCCHI was released from custody on Form 10 Undertaking with conditions with a St. Thomas court date of July 20th, 2021.

The charges are a result of an incident police responded to on Sunday June 6, 2021 at approximately 8:46pm.  Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the main beach area in Port Stanley, ON to a report of an altercation between two people and that one person had been stabbed. The victim was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Sanjeet KUNDI – Drunk Driving

(GRAND BEND, ON) – On June 12, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed an erratic driver on Government Road, Grand Bend.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and, upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage, at which time a roadside screening device was administered. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and provided two samples over the legal limit.

Sanjeet KUNDI, 26-years-old of Elora has been charged with

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Cheryl Allan – Impaired Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 58-year-old individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint investigation on Highway 6 in Caledonia.

On Monday June 14, 2021 at 4:18 p.m., OPP received a report of a traffic complaint on Highway 6.

OPP located the vehicle at a business in Caledonia.  Police spoke with the driver and signs of impairment were detected. Subsequently the driver was placed under arrest.

OPP has charged 58-year-old Cheryl Allan of Glanbrook, ON with:

  •  Impaired Driving
  •  Fail or refusal to comply with a breath demand

The individual had their drivers licence suspended for a minimum of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.

Break & Enter – Jacob STURGEON & Summer BOYKO

(Southwest Middlesex, ON) – On June 14, 2021 at 1:03 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a Break and Enter in progress at 1405 Longwoods Road, Southwest Middlesex Township. 

With the assistance of the public, a member of the Middlesex OPP located and placed two individuals under arrest not far from the scene.

As a result, Jacob STURGEON, a 24-year-old of London has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence, section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  •  Poss of Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order, section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  •  Fail to Comply with Probation Order, section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  •  Failure to comply with undertaking, section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  •  Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin), section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – (Fentanyl)

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on June 15, 2021.

As a result, Summer BOYKO, a 36-year-old of London, has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence, section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 26, 2021 to speak to the charges.

Abram MARTENS – Drunk Driving

(TILLSONBURG, ON) – On June 13, 2021, at approximately 11:58 p.m., the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a possible impaired driver on Goshen Street, Tillsonburg.

Police observed a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for testing.

As a result, Abram MARTENS, 58-years-old of London was charged with the following offences:

  •    Operation While Impaired
  •    Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

Tiffanie LADOUCEUR – Drunk Driving

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On June 13, 2021, at approximately 1:35 a.m., the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at an address on Highway 59, East Zorra-Tavistock Township.

Investigation determined that people were involved in a verbal dispute at that location, however left the scene in a vehicle. Police located the vehicle shortly after and took an individual into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Tiffanie LADOUCEUR, 38-years-old of Woodstock was charged with the following offences:

  •    Operation While Impaired
  •    Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

Jonathan HICKEY – Drunk Driving

(Adelaide-Metcalfe, ON) – On June 11, 2021 at 5:07 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a possible impaired driver, travelling eastbound on Highway 402, in Lambton County.

Middlesex OPP observed for and located the vehicle at Centre Road and Highway 402, at which point a traffic stop was conducted.

As a result, Jonathan HICKEY, a 37-year-old of Bradford, ON has been charged with:

  •  Operation while impaired – Alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  •   Failure or refusal to comply with demand, section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 20, 2021 to speak to the charges.

Pervert Alert – Timothy Sean GULINSKI Child Pornography

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Digital Forensics and Norfolk County OPP Detachment arrested and charged a Norfolk County resident following an online child sexual exploitation investigation.

  On June 10, 2021, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the town of Port Dover and seized numerous electronic exhibits for further examination. As a result of this investigation, Timothy Sean GULINSKI, 34-years-old, was arrested and charged with;

  • Possession of Child Pornography – two counts, contrary to section 163.1(4) of the Criminal Code.
  • Making Available Child Pornography – one count, contrary to section 163.1(3) of the Criminal Code. 

 The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing and is next scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Norfolk Count, Ontario.

Children are our most valuable and precious members of society. Many victims of child sexual abuse are so young that they cannot tell their story. Every time an image or video depicting that abuse is shared, that child is re-victimized. Members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit will continue to pursue individuals who exploit children on the Internet.

Brant OPP Weekend Report

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – Over the course of the weekend, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were busy doing their part to keep our communities safe.

(Paris) – TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CRIMINAL CHARGES

On Sunday June 13, 2021 at 2:50 a.m., officers with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on William Street in the Town of Paris. The driver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police detachment for testing.

Police have charged Eric Meleiros DASILVA, 36 years-of-age from Brant County with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·        Operation while prohibited under the criminal code (three counts) and

·        Driving while under suspension (two counts).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

 (Highway 403) – OUT OF PROVINCE DRIVER FACING STUNT CHARGES

On Friday, June 11, 2021, at approximately 8:54 p.m., an officer with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 403 in the County of Brant. The officer was conducting speed enforcement when they located a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle’s speed was determined to be in excess of 50 km/h over the speed limit in a posted 100 km/h zone.

Police have charged Iboro Ignatius ENOH, 29-years-of-age from Winnipeg, Manitoba with the following offences:

·           Race a motor vehicle – excessive speed and

·           Speeding 50+ kilometres per hour over the speed limit.

The vehicle was impounded at the roadside and the individual’s driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford at a later date.

(Paris) – THEFT OF PRIDE SIGNS IN PARIS

On Sunday June 13, 2021, members of Brant County OPP responded to a theft report at an address on Grand River Street North, near Homestead Road, in the Town of Paris.

Sometime overnight, an unknown person removed a Pride sign from the front lawn of a residence. Over the past week, police have received similar complaints for thefts of the signs indicating “Love is Love” in the areas of Victoria Street, Catherine Street and St. Andrew Street in the Town of Paris.

2 Drunk Drivers At RIDE – HART & REMPEL

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On June 12, 2021, at approximately 8:15 p.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested two drivers while conducting RIDE on George Street, Innerkip.

Police checked for sobriety of the drivers of numerous vehicles that entered the RIDE.

Two drivers were arrested and Approved Screening Devices (ASD) were utilized.

Jacob HART, 26-years-old of Kitchener was charged with the following offences:

  •    Operation While Impaired
  •    Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

Wyatt REMPEL, 20-years-old of Baden was charged with the following offences:

  •    Operation While Impaired
  •    Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  •    Fail to Properly Wear Seatbelt

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

$100,000 Drug Bust – Randy NAHDEE

(Thames Centre, ON) – On June 13, 2021 at 1:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a possible impaired driver, travelling westbound on Highway 401, in Oxford County.

Middlesex OPP observed for and located the vehicle near Elgin Road, Thames Centre, at which point a traffic stop was conducted.

Located in the vehicle was a large quantity of drugs, with an estimated street value, in excess of $100,000.

As a result, Randy NAHDEE, a 49-year-old of Walpole Island First Nation has been charged with:

  •  Operation while impaired – drugs, section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  •  Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  •  Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  •  Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  •  Poss of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking – LSD, section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  •  Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on June 13, 2021.

Two Overdue Individuals Located in the Water

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) -On Sunday, June 13, 2021, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment Marine Unit along with Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton (JRCC), the Canadian Coast Guard and Norfolk County Paramedic Services responded to a marine incident at an Ordnance Avenue, Turkey Point address.

It was determined that two individuals failed to return to shore after they departed on a personal watercraft at approximately 6:30 p.m., and as a result, a concerned family member contacted emergency services.

Members of the Norfolk County Marine Unit in conjunction with JRCC and the Canadian Coast Guard began to search Lake Erie when members of the Coast Guard located both people floating in the water at approximately 9:45 p.m., two kilometers east of Pottahawk. Both were hypothermic and were subsequently brought back to and then transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment. 

The Norfolk County OPP are encouraging everyone that may be venturing out onto the water to carry all necessary safety equipment and a charged cellular phone in case they find themselves involved in a situation. 

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the JRCC and the Canadian Coast Guard and members of the Norfolk County OPP Maine Unit for their quick response.
