12 Year Olds Vs Gator – One Airlifted To Hospital

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County Emergency Services (EMS) responded to a call for service at a field located on private property near 4th Line in Oneida Township on June 9, 2022, at 5:27 p.m.

Two 12-year-old children were riding a Gator Utility Vehicle (UV) when it slid and rolled over trapping one of the children underneath.  The child was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted by AirOrnge to an out-of-town hospital suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other 12-year-old was not injured.

Pervert Alert – Timothy QUINLAN Arrested

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are investigating a historical sexual assault in Southwest Middlesex, Elgin County and the City of London.

As a result, Timothy QUINLAN, a 70-year-old of Dutton, was charged on February 16, 2022 with:

·      Sexual assault (four counts)

·      sexual interference (two counts)

·      Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

The assaults are reported to have occurred during the 1990’s and police believe there may be additional victims.

Drunk Driver Arrested In Mount Forest

(TOWN OF MOUNT FOREST, ON) – On December 24, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possibly impaired driver operating a grey sedan. Officers located the vehicle on Main Street North, in Mount Forest.

As a result of the investigation, Aaron LOVE, 45-years-old of Holstein, has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol per 100mL of blood) contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment were initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph.

17 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(HURON EAST, ON) – A teenager from Bluewater is facing an Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus charge and others following a traffic stop this weekend in Vanastra.

On December 17, 2021 at approximately 10:22 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on Winnipeg Road in Vanastra when he observed a driver of a car roll through a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated and while speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol.

A roadside screening test was performed and the driver registered a fail. Upon doing so the driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further testing. The driver provided two samples of breath to the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be above the legal limit. 

A 17-year-old from Bluewater has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus, Person Under 19 years Having Liquor, Novice Driver BAC Above Zero and Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop. The accused has since been released from custody with an upcoming court appearance at the Youth Justice Court in Goderich.

Dreyten LAWRENCE Arrested After Getting Stuck In Field

(PETROLIA, ON) – On December 11, 2021 at 6:10 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle on Discovery Line that was exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 Km/h. Officers initiated a traffic stop and observed the vehicle attempt to flee. The vehicle was driven into a field and became stuck. The driver was then taken into custody without incident.

Dreyten LAWRENCE, 20-years-old of Sarnia, has been charged with the following:

·        Flight from peace officer,

·        Dangerous operation,

·        Race a motor vehicle-stunt and,

·        Drive motor vehicle-no licence.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 24, 2022.

Sundeep MAHAY – Drunk Driving

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On December 9, 2021 at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a traffic complaint on Highway 401, South-West Oxford Township.

The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted.

The driver was taken into custody and transported to the OPP detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Sundeep MAHAY, 30-years-old of Hamilton was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

Steven THOMPSON – Drunk Driving

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 9, 2021 at 10:25 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint on Plank Road.

Upon speaking with a driver who entered the checkpoint, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage, at which time a roadside screening device was administered. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Petrolia OPP detachment where they provided two samples over the legal limit.

Steven THOMPSON, 39-years-old of Thamesville, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Jessica HERNANDEZ Arrested Again

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On December 10, 2021 at approximately 8:35 p.m., the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at an address on Culloden Line, South-West Oxford Township.

Investigation determined that a physical altercation took place at the residence, with non- life threatening injuries reported.  

The accused left the property prior to police arrival, however was located by officers a short distance away and was placed under arrest.

While in police custody, the accused assaulted three officers.

As a result of the investigation, Jessica HERNANDEZ, 32-years-old of Oxford County was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault
  • Assault a Peace Officer x 3
  • Failure to Comply With Undertaking
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.

Jacob Allan SANDY – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – On December 13, 2021, at 9:39 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment responded to a traffic complaint in the parking lot of a local business in Caledonia.

As a result of the investigation, Jacob Allan SANDY, 21-years-old of Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation was charged with the following offences:

·      Driving a motor vehicle while impaired,

·      Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood,

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.

Drug Bust – BRADSHAW & MCKAY

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – In October 2021, the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) assisted by OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) began a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) investigation.

On December 2, 2021, with the assistance of other West Region CSCU members and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), two individuals were arrested.

Three CDSA search warrants were executed at residential addresses in the City of London, Middlesex County and Tillsonburg.

A quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, MDMA, Canadian currency and a replica handgun were seized.

The value of the items seized was just under $9000.

As a result, 33-year-old Matthew BRADSHAW of London was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 5
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order x 7

33-year-old Tasha MCKAY of London was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance x 3
  • Possession of Schedule III Substance

Both of the accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.

Cleveland DOOLITTLE Charged After Attempting To Evade RIDE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – On Monday, December 13, 2021, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment stopped a vehicle at an Old Highway 24, Townsend, Norfolk County address.

It was determined that police were conducting a R.I.D.E program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in the area of Norfolk Street North and Davis Street when officers noticed a vehicle that avoided the R.I.D.E program.

The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated. As a result, police charged 20-year-old Cleveland DOOLITTLE of Six Nations of The Grand River First Nation with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration 80 plus,
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor,
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence, and
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe at a later date.

31 Year Old Facing Impaired & Speeding Charges

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – On Sunday, December 12, 2021, at approximately 12:23 a.m., an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment stopped and investigated a vehicle at a Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County address.

It was determined that an officer was travelling on Highway 24 when a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed attracted the officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated after travelling over 150 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

As a result, police charged 31-year-old Lucas Martin KOHL of Norfolk County, Ontario with the following offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus,

·      Race a motor vehicle – stunt, and

·      Speeding by 50+ km/h over posted limit.

OPP are reminding all motorists that the minimum fine if convicted is $2,000 and an automatic drivers licence suspension for thirty (30) days and fourteen (14) day vehicle impoundment.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.

25 Year Old Facing Impaired Charge

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – On Friday, December 10, 2021, at approximately 11:17 p.m., an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle at a Norfolk County, Middleton, Norfolk County address.

As a result, officers charged 25-year-old Kaitlin Pamela BOYCE of Oxford County, Ontario with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe at a later date.

Fatal House Fire Update – Deceased Identified

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment have identified the deceased as 38-year-old Jason BERG of Norfolk County, Ontario.

On Thursday, December 9, 2021, at approximately 8:13 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment, Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services responded to a house fire at a Turkey Point Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County address.

Attending firefighters arrived on scene and were met with a fully engulfed house fire. Volunteers were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other outbuildings located on the property. While inside the home, an individual was located and was subsequently pronounced deceased on scene.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services is continuing to investigate this incident.

The Ontario Fire Marshalls Office attended and completed an investigation.

Meth Bust – DOUTHWRIGHT, PARKER & VAN

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On November 25, 2021, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Huron-Perth CSCU and the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant on a property located in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

As a result of the investigation, three individuals were arrested and are facing the following charges:

Darlene DOUTHWRIGHT, 28 years-of-age, from Georgian Bluffs

·        Possession of a schedule 1 substance, and

·        Unauthorized possession of a weapon.

George PARKER, 61 years-of-age, from Georgian Bluffs

·        Two counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance.

Amy VAN, 38-years-of-age, from Brockton

·        Three counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance.

A search of the property resulted in the seizure of drugs suspected to be methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine. Officers also seized numerous other offence related assets.

The individuals are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on December 23, 2021.
