Jessica KING & Mark FAGAN Arrested For Violent Robbery

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two suspects in connection to a robbery in the City of Orillia.

 On June 4, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers received a call that a female had robbed a victim at a local business parking lot in the area Murphy Rd in Orillia. An unknown female suspect at the time approached the victim demanding all her property. When the victim would not comply, she was assaulted, receiving several serious, but nonlife threatening injuries. The victim was treated at local area hospital.

Shortly after Officers were dispatched to a break and enter at an address on Mississaga Street E. Once on scene officers located a male fitting the description of the suspect placing him under arrest. Upon searching the male, several items in relation to the Robbery, belonging to the victim were found in the suspects possession.

Upon further investigation specifically through witness account police were able to identify a female suspect. At approximately 4:00 p.m. on June 5, 2024, police received a call for a number of suspicious persons in a parking lot in the area of Coldwater Rd in the City of Orillia. At this time, police attended and located the female suspect, placing her under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been arrested and charged:

Mark FAGAN, age 37, of South River, has been charged with:

Robbery with violence

Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on June 5, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Barrie.

Jessica KING, age 30, of Orillia

Adult Robbery with Violence

Adult Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

Adult Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle.

Adult Poss of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on June 6, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Barrie.

Two Arrested For Break & Enter

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against two individuals after a recent break and enter.   

On June 3, 2024, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers from the UOV OPP responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence on Church Street in Pembroke. Two people were arrested at the scene and taken into custody by police.   

As a result of this incident 54-year-old Mark MARTYN of no fixed address, and 38-year-old Derick Timothy Scott SULLIVAN of Allumette Island, QC, have both been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. MARTYN faces an additional CC charge of failing to comply with probation.

MARTYN was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 8, 2024.  

SULLIVAN was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 7, 2024.

Mark MYCHAJLUK Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing charges following an investigation into an incident of impaired driving in Simcoe.

At approximately 4:37 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a suspected impaired driver on Colborne Street North in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

After locating the vehicle at an address on Colborne Street North and conducting a sobriety assessment, officers took the driver into custody without incident.

During a search of the driver and the vehicle, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 34-year-old Mark MYCHAJLUK of Norfolk County:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Do You Recognize This Mischief Suspect?

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a mischief incident that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth and is seeking witnesses or additional video surveillance.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m. on May 26, 2024, a person kicked and broke the window of a parked, unoccupied vehicle on Elma Street West, Listowel. The unknown person of interest arrived on foot from the Wallace Avenue South area, and is described as wearing dark clothing. They may have sustained an injury during the incident, and police would like to confirm the person’s well-being.

The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided when available.

Fatal Collision

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – One person is deceased following a single-vehicle crash in Huron-Kinloss Township.

On June 5, 2024, at 9:44 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle entering Lake Huron from Amberley Road.

Police, along with members of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services, removed the driver from the vehicle and attempted lifesaving measures. The driver, an 88-year-old individual from Mississauga, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 The South Bruce OPP continues to investigate the collision, along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and the Coroner’s Office.

Amberley Road was closed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.

Collision Closes Amberly Road

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – Serious collision closes Amberley Road in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

On June 5, 2024, at 9:44 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron-Kinloss Fire Department, and Paramedic Services responded to a report of a serious collision involving a motor vehicle on Amberley Road in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team is on scene to assist with the investigation.

Amberley Road is closed at Ashfield Huron Road for the investigation. Please avoid the area.

Devon HUSK Was Arrested

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On June 4, 2024, at 3:08 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on Patrol in the Municipality of South Bruce, observed a driver aggressively operating a motor vehicle. The driver was stopped on Highway 9.

As a result of the traffic stop, officers believed that the driver was impaired by alcohol; they were subsequently placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Devon HUSK, 25-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Speeding
  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle – Over 80

Troy Wright Was Arrested

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – One individual is facing charges after the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle hauling a trailer with no lights on.

On May 31, 2024, at 9:32 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol on Grey Road 13 in Grey Highlands when they observed a motor vehicle hauling a trailer and the trailer had no lights on. The officer conducted a traffic stop. As police were speaking to the driver, the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver provided a sample of breath into an Approved Screening Device (ASD) which registered a fail. The driver was transported to the Grey Bruce OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Troy Wright, 27-year-old from Grey Highlands was charged with the following:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      No red light on rear of trailer

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on June 27, 2024.

Tarsem PADDA – Impaired Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation by drugs.

On May 29, 2024, shortly before 9:00 p.m., Caledon OPP responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Airport Road and Mayfield Road, in the Town of Caledon. Officers located the vehicle. During the investigation, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs.

As a result, Tarsem PADDA, 36, of no fixed address, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 18, 2024, to answer to the charge.

Officer Struck By Vehicle – 2 Arrested

(Orillia, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals following an incident where an officer was struck by a vehicle attempting to flee police.

On March 30, 2024, about 7:37 a.m., Orillia OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint at Ridge Road West and Black Forest Lane in Oro-Medonte Township. It was reported to police that the driver was asleep and slumped over the steering wheel of a parked vehicle with its engine running. 

Upon arriving on scene, the officer attended the vehicle in question to investigate – opening the door to check on the driver. The individual in the driver seat woke up and became combative with the officer, shifting the vehicle into reverse and striking the officer with the vehicle in attempts to flee. Moments later other officers arrived to assist and the vehicle attempting to flee was stopped by a police cruiser – making contact with it. The driver did not comply with demands to exit the vehicle and had to be removed by officers. The driver was placed under arrest – as was an individual who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Following the arrest police continued their investigation and recovered a quantity of drugs, cash and weapons including a loaded 9mm handgun which was accessible to the driver and passenger. Thankfully the officer struck by the vehicle only suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Simcoe County Paramedics. Orillia OPP Major Crime Unit also assisted with the investigation. Both arrested and charged individuals were on probation at the time of the incident and prohibited from having weapons. The driver was also prohibited from driving.

Gary Hirsch, 33 years old, of Barrie, has been charged with 32 criminal charges:

·      Assault Police with a weapon

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Flight from Police

Ashley McLinden, 33 years old, of Barrie, has been charged with 26 criminal charges:

·      Fail to comply with probation order x3

·      Fraud related charges x5

·      Stolen property related charges x3

·      Possession of controlled substance for purpose of trafficking

·      Obstruct Peace Officer

·      Weapons related charges x11

Both accused have been held in police custody pending a bail hearing.

Marie-Claude BREAULT Was Arrested

(SEGUIN, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the West Parry Sound OPP Crime Unit and with the assistance of OPP Forensic Identification Services have arrested and charged one person in connection with a lengthy Criminal Harassment investigation that started in 2020.

After the previous media release regarding the investigation, more victims have come forward after receiving anonymous letters with harassing content between January and February 2024.

As a result of the investigation, Marie-Claude BREAULT, 54 years-of-age of Seguin Ontario was again arrested and charged with:

  • Criminal Harassment – 2 counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 20, 2024.

VIVEROS CAMACHO Was Arrested

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges relating to incidents that spanned over multiple jurisdictions.

On May 25, 2024, members of Quinte West OPP responded to a traffic complaint of dangerous and erratic driving behaviour involving a stolen 2024 Toyota Tundra, taken from the Toronto Area. 

After numerous traffic incidents, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot near the intersection of Colonial Drive and Harmer Road in the City of Quinte West. The OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and OPP Aviation Unit assisted in searching the area. The accused was located and taken into custody.     

Wallinton VIVEROS CAMACHO, age 19, was arrested and is charged with: 

  • Flight from peace officer
  • Dangerous operation- two counts
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The accused remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

Tyler BISHOP – Aggravated Assault

(TECUMSEH) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex detachment Crime Unit are seeking public assistance to identify three suspects in an assault case in Tecumseh.

On May 19, 2024, at approximately 2:15 a.m., police received a report of a fight between approximately 15 people in a parking lot at an address on Tecumseh Road East.

Three individuals received minor injuries in the altercation, while another person was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested and charged Tyler BISHOP, 25-years-old of Windsor under the Criminal Code with the following offences: 

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault
  • Causing a Disturbance

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 9, 2024.

Police are asking the public to help identify three additional persons of interest in connection with this incident. Photos of these individuals are attached to this release.

Katja POWER – Drunk Driving

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – Police arrested and charged the driver with impaired driving after investigating a single motor vehicle collision.

On May 30, 2024, shortly after 2:00 a.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a single motor vehicle collision into a swampy area off Highway 17, West Nipissing.

No injuries were reported by the driver and as a result of the investigation, the driver Katja POWER, 66 years-of -age, from St. Charles was arrested and charged with, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 4, 2024, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

McNABB & CLARK Arrested For Drug Trafficking

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – A driver and passenger have been arrested and charged by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), after locating them sleeping in a parked vehicle.

On May 29, 2024, shortly before 7:00 a.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation with a parked vehicle on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

The two occupants were sleeping inside the vehicle and were arrested, after police located and seized drugs suspected to be Cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $12,000.

It was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation the driver, Natasha CLARK, 38 years-of-age, from West Lethbridge, AB, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – (three counts)
  • Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking

While the passenger, Tannis McNABB, 28 years-of-age, from Lethbridge, AB, was charged with, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – (three counts) and possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking

Both the accused were release and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 4, 2024, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
