Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Chantal KATHERINE & Owen SACK Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people after locating a stolen vehicle.

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at approximately 2:35 p.m., a Renfrew OPP officer while on patrol, located a stolen vehicle on Highway 60 in Admaston/Bromley Township.  A traffic stop was initiated, and an investigation was completed.

As a result of the investigation, Chantal KATHERINE age 38 of Laurentian Valley Township and Owen SACK age 28 of Whitewater Region Township were charged with:

–      Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

–      Possession of a schedule 1 Substance  

The accused parties were held for a bail hearing.

William MARTEL – Impaired Operation

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one people after responding to a single motor vehicle collision on Calabogie Road in Greater Madawaska Township.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision. 

As a result of the investigation, William MARTEL age 66 of Ottawa was charged with:

–      Failure or refusal to comply with demand  

–      Operation while impaired- alcohol 

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 14, 2026.

Ethan BRISEBOIS – Drunk Driving

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – A person was charged after police received a traffic complaint.

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complainant regarding a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was observed on Ontario Avenue and a traffic stop conducted on Hillside Drive North. The driver emanated a strong odour of alcoholic beverage and cans of alcohol were observed in the vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested, and the vehicle was towed and impounded.   

Ethan BRISEBOIS, 20-years-old, from Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 15, 2026.

Repeat Offender Facing 63 Charges Following Child Abuse Investigation

(RIDEAU LAKES, ON) – Police have now laid 63 charges following an intimate partner violence and child abuse investigation.

Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, assisted by the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, began the investigation on Friday, September 26, 2025. Five victims have been identified.

As a result of the investigation, the accused, a 26-year-old male, is now charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Attempt to commit murder
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual interference
  • Assault cause bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle) – 12 counts
  • Assault with a weapon – six counts
  • Assault – 14 counts
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – 16 counts
  • Forcible confinement – four counts
  • Dangerous operation – two counts
  • Extortion
  • Intimidation – use or threatens use of violence – two counts
  • Mischief
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The name of the accused cannot be released in order to protect the identity of the victims.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville in February 2026.

River JOHN – Drunk Driving

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.

On December 13, 2025, at 1:58 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Carriage Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle.

A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, River JOHN, a 23-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Cannabis Control Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

·      Class G1 licence holder – drive at unlawful hour

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

·      Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on January 27, 2026.

Dylan BARNES – Drunk Driving

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Three impaired drivers were removed from Wellington County roadways over the weekend.

On December 12, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on St. Andrew Street West in Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, Dylan BARNES, a 31-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

There are no reported injuries.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on December 23, 2025.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Additionally, on December 14, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Wellington OPP Traffic Management Unit conducted a traffic stop on Parkside Drive West in Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, Andrew CROLL, a 55-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on December 23, 2025.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Finally, on December 14, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., members of the Wellington OPP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision with a tree on the lawn of a residence on Eramosa-Erin Townline in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

As a result of the investigation, Gursharn Singh TATHGAR, a 29-year-old from Guelph, is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused did not sustain any reported injuries.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on January 2, 2026.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Kevin WOLL Was Arrested

(WALPOLE ISLAND FIRST NATION, ON) – Police have arrested one individual as a result of a traffic complaint.

On December 15, 2025, shortly before 1:30 a.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Walpole Island Police Service responded to a report of a traffic complaint originating from Chatham Kent Police Service (CKPS) in the Wallaceburg area.

Police located the involved vehicle on Tecumseh Road on Walpole Island First Nation. Three individuals were also located walking in the area.

After further investigation, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin WOLL, 29-year-old of Sarnia was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offence:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on January 29, 2026.

Katherine WRIGHT – Drunk Driving

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) –  An individual from Grey Highlands is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Margaret Street near Sydenham Street, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle that had swerved off the roadway and became stuck in the snow along the shoulder.

Katherine WRIGHT, 45-years-old, of Grey Highlands, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 15, 2026.

Heidi LACKO – Drunk Driving

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – A driver is facing impaired driving charges after police observed a traffic violation in Temiskaming Shores.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle committing traffic violations in the area of Armstrong Street and Wellington Street North in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Police initiated a traffic stop, during which officers formed grounds to believe the driver had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Heidi LACKO, 22 years old, of Temiskaming Shores, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg
  • Driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor
  • Novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero
  • Red light – fail to stop

In addition, a 90 day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension was issued, and the involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Drug Bust – Kadeem PHILBERT & Isaiah ASHEM-HIBBERT

(POWASSAN, ON) – Two individuals from southern Ontario are facing multiple drug trafficking charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 11 in Powassan.

On Saturday December 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the North Bay OPP conducted a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 11. During the stop, officers observed an unsealed container of cannabis inside the vehicle, leading to a search under the Cannabis Control Act.

The search resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, oxycodone tablets, cannabis, a digital scale, cell phones, and approximately $2,000 in Canadian currency.

As a result, Kadeem PHILBERT, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Isaiah ASHEM-HIBBERT, 29, of York, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Speeding – 30 km/h over the posted limit

Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on January 13, 2026.

Security Guard Fraud – SHARMA, SHARMA & SHARMA Arrested

(TORONTO, ON) – Ontario’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has charged three people in connection with a complex fraud scheme to help secure the employment of security guards in long-term care homes.

In July 2024, the SFO began an investigation into the falsification of employment eligibility documents being provided on behalf of individuals in order to expedite their placement as security guards in long-term care facilities in Ontario.

As a result of the investigation, three individuals have been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code:

Vishal SHARMA, age 28 of London, is charged with:

·      Fraud over $5,000

·      Utter forged document

Jatin SHARMA, age 22 of London, is charged with:

·      Fraud over $5,000

·      Utter forged document

Deepika SHARMA, age 34 of London, is charged with:

·      Fraud over $5,000

·      Utter forged document

The accused have been released from custody are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in London on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Nikolas DICKSON Was Arrested

(LOYALIST TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges following a collision.

On Monday December 15, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of a two vehicle collision on Amherst Drive in Loyalist Township involving a possible impaired driver. Police attended, and after being treated by EMS, one driver was arrested.

Nikolas DICKSON, a 27-year-old from Gananoque, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Careless driving
  • Fail to surrender licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 6, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

One Dead – 17 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP., ON) – A single-vehicle collision near Pakenham has left one person deceased.

On Monday, December 15, 2025, shortly before midnight, members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on the 8th Concession of South Pakenham, near Cedar Hill Sideroad.

A passenger was found trapped in the car, while the driver and another passenger were able to get out. Members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department were able to free the trapped individual. Despite life-saving measures by Lanark County Paramedics, the 18-year-old male from Mississippi Mills Township was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The two other people were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired causing death
  • Operation while impaired causing bodily harm
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released with conditions from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth in January.

Drug Bust – POTTS & NICOLI

(MINDEN, ON) – The Haliburton Highlands detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged two individuals following a traffic stop in Minden.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP and the Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team of the OPP, were dispatched to an impaired driver call in Minden. Two people were arrested, and a quantity of suspected Controlled Drugs and Substances were located.

As a result of the investigation, Jesse POTTS, 33 years-of-age of Oshawa, has been charged with:

·        Possession of a schedule I substance – 3 counts

·        Possession of break in instruments

·        Possessing counterfeit money

·        Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·        Failure to comply with probation order

And further, Maria Teresa NICOLI, 34 years-of-age of Oshawa, has been charged with:

·        Possession of a schedule I substance – 3 counts

·        Possession of break in instruments

·        Possessing counterfeit money

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·        Drive while under suspension

Approximately 4.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, 29.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3 grams of suspected cocaine, and over 950 grams of suspected marihuana were seized as a result of the investigation.

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden at a later date.

Home Invasion – Ricky KEEASH Arrested

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Atikokan have arrested and charged one individual after responding to a reported break and enter incident.

On December 14, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m. (CST), a male had attempted to break into a residence on Maple Crescent in Atikokan. The male fled upon police arrival and barricaded himself in his residence. Further investigation revealed the male was also wanted for assault from a previous incident earlier that day.

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, OPP Crisis Negotiators and North West Region Crime Unit members were deployed to assist members of the Atikokan OPP Detachment. Shortly after 8:20 p.m. (CST) one individual was safely arrested by police.

As a result, Ricky KEEASH, 47-years-old of Atikokan, Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Forcible Entry
  • Break and Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Assault with a weapon

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on December 17, 2025.
