Angela LACHANCE Was Arrested Again

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with impaired driving offences after conducting a traffic stop .

On Monday January 5, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, were alerted by the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, that the register owner of the vehicle was a suspended driver, on King Street, West Nipissing.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

Further investigation found the driver to be breaching a court order and was a prohibited driver.

Angela LACHANCE, 52 years-of-age, from West Nipissing was charged with,

  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 5, 2026, in North Bay.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Jay THAKOR – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual is facing impaired driving related charges following a traffic complaint.

On January 5, 2026, at approximately 8:45 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a traffic complaint on Malcolm Crescent, Caledonia.

The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was subsequently taken into custody.

Jay THAKOR, 25-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:

·        Operation While Impaired

·        Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on February 3, 2026.

OPP Crack Down on Uninsured, Unlicensed, and Suspended Snowmobile Riders

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) – With portions of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail system now open, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) have increased patrols and issued several charges as a result.

On January 2, 2026, at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP TMU were conducting trail permit compliance checks on an OFSC trail within Minto Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old from Moorefield, is charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with:

  • Drive – no insurance
  • Drive motorized snow vehicle, trail permit not issued
  • Fail to produce license
  • Fail to notify change of ownership
  • Fail to display evidence of permit

On January 2, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP TMU were conducting trail permit compliance checks on a OFSC Trail within Minto Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old from Listowel, is charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with:

  • Drive motorized snow vehicle while license suspended
  • Drive – no insurance
  • Fail to notify change of ownership
  • Drive motorized snow vehicle, trail permit not issued
  • Fail to display evidence of permit

On January 2, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP TMU were conducting trail permit compliance checks on an OFSC trail within Minto Township.

As a result of their investigation, a 52-year-old from Arkona, a 52-year-old from Watford, a 46-year-old from Strathroy and a 45-year-old from Strathroy are all charged under the Liquor License and Control Act with:

  • Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place

The charge of “Having liquor in open container in unauthorized place” is accompanied by a $125 fine.

On January 2, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Wellington OPP TMU conducted the stop of a snowmobile operator on Highway 6 within Centre Wellington Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old from Moffat, is charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with:

  • Fail to stop – flashing red and blue lights

The Wellington County OPP would like to remind riders of the following requirements for operating a snowmobile in Ontario:

  • Riders must have and carry a valid driver’s licence, motorized snow vehicle operator’s licence (MSVOL) or a snowmobile driver’s licence from your home province, state or country.
  • Riders must carry proof of snowmobile ownership and proof of insurance.
  • Riders must have a valid Snowmobile Trail Permit affixed to your sled when on trials.
  • Riders must stop for approaching police operated snowmobiles with flashing red and blue lights.

Shane WINSLOW Was Arrested

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person with several criminal and provincial charges following a traffic stop on the weekend.

On Saturday January 3, 2026, just before 10:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were performing speed radar enforcement on Highway 401 in the Town of Greater Napanee. Officers stopped a vehicle travelling eastbound at 44km/h over the posted speed limit. Following an investigation the driver was arrested.

Shane WINSLOW, a 31-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Stunt driving
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 27, 2026. Their driver’s licence was suspended and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

RICHARDSON Arrested Again

(WEST PERTH, ON) – One person has been charged with multiple offences after failing to stop for police while driving impaired in the Municipality of West Perth.

On January 5, 2026 shortly after 5:00 p.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on an unrelated traffic stop when they observed a passing motor vehicle strike a snowbank on Perth Line 34 west of the Town of Mitchell. The vehicle continued travelling in a manner that was dangerous to other drivers before it left the roadway colliding with a snowbank.

The driver, 20-year-old Cory Richardson of South Huron was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on January 26, 2026. The accused is also facing a 90-day drivers licence suspension, 7-day motor vehicle impoundment as well as tow and impound fees.

Brittnee CARRUTHERS – Drunk Driving

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an impaired-driving-related collision investigation near Villa Nova.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 8:12 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a sedan on County Line, just outside of Villa Nova.

The investigation determined that the vehicle was travelling along County Line when it left the roadway, rolled over, and came to rest in a field. No injuries were reported.

Officers located the driver at the scene and, following a roadside sobriety test, took the individual into custody without incident.

As a result, 35-year-old Brittnee CARRUTHERS of Haldimand County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Jordan GENERAL -Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – A driver was taken into custody following a single vehicle collision.

On January 5, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on New Credit Road, Mississaugas of the Credit, First Nation.

The investigation determined that a passenger vehicle occupied by the driver and one passenger left the roadway at that location. No injuries were reported.

Jordan GENERAL, 33-years-old from Ohsweken has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence
  • Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle
  • Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on February 3, 2026.

HICKEY Arrested For Drunk Driving

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Charges have been laid by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in connection with an incident in which the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) invoked its mandate in Northumberland.

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, shortly after midnight, officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the OPP were conducting speed enforcement on County Road 45 when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Moments later, the vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle collision. As a result of the collision, the SIU invoked its mandate.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, following a parallel police investigation, Brent HICKEY, 25-years-old of Port Hope, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, section 320.14(1)(a)
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), section 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous operation – section 320.13(1)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Annmarie MELO & Iyan BIRCH – Impaired Driving

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two drivers with impaired driving and numerous other offences after a collision in North Bay.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the North Bay OPP, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a report of a single vehicle collision into a snowbank on Highway 17 near Bayview Road in the City of North Bay.

During the investigation, police learned that after the collision, the driver and passenger of the involved vehicle switched places and continued driving eastbound on Highway 17. The vehicle was located on Highway 531 in the Township of Bonfield.

As a result of the investigation, Iyan BIRCH, 40 years-of-age of Bonfield Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drug
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code – two counts

Additionally, Annmarie MELO, 49 years-of-age of Bonfield Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drug

Both accused individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in February of 2026, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

James STEVENS – Threats Toward “Police”

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A barricaded person incident in Larder Lake Township has resolved peacefully.

On Sunday, January 4, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence in Larder Lake Township to execute a warrant. Upon arrival, the individual uttered threats towards police which lead the surrounding roads to be closed to ensure public safety.

With the assistance of the Kirkland Lake OPP uniform and crime members, OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, Crisis Negotiators and the OPP’s Critical Incident Command (CIC), the individual was arrested and taken into police custody.

As a result, James STEVENS, a 79-year-old of Larder Lake Township was arrested and charged with Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused remains in custody and is to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on January 6, 2026.

Aaron Leo OWL – Ditch Drunk Driving

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – A person was charged after police were called to a vehicle in the ditch on Birch Street.

On January 4, 2026, at approximately 7:20 a.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Birch Street to find a beige pickup truck in the ditch still running and the driver passed out at the wheel. Police woke him up and detected a strong odour of alcoholic beverage from his breath, along with obvious signs of impairment. He was subsequently arrested and the pickup truck was towed and impounded.  

Aaron Leo OWL, 35-years-old, from Blind River was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on March 5, 2026.

Tharun RAGURAM Was Arrested

(SERVOS TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after investigating a motor vehicle collision.

On Saturday January 3, 2026, at approximately 9:25 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 69, Servos Township, south of Sudbury.

No injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Tharun RAGURAM, 21 years-of-age, from Markham, was charged with,

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 11, 2026, in Sudbury.

Robbie ROBINSON Was Arrested Again

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with court order breaches and drug related offences after a traffic stop.

On Thursday January 1, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, were alerted by the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, that the register owner of the vehicle being a wanted person, on Golf Course Road, West Nipissing.

The driver was not the register owner of the vehicle but was on two-court orders to remain at their residence and a suspended driver.

A search of the vehicle located drugs suspected to be cocaine.

As a result of the investigation,  Robbie ROBINSON, 52 years-of-age, from North Bay was arrested and charged with,

  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was held for Bail Court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 7, 2026, in North Bay.

Clinton JONES Was Arrested

(DAWN EUPHEMIA, ON) – An individual from Bothwell is facing impaired driving-related charges following a traffic stop in Dawn-Euphemia.

On January 3rd, 2026, shortly after 2:00 a.m., members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Gould Road near Kent Line.

As a result of the investigation, Clinton JONES, 28-years-old, of Bothwell, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

·      Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Obstruct plate

 A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

 The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on February 24, 2026.

 (ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – Fourteen drivers were arrested for impaired related offences in Essex County from December 23, 2005 to January 4, 2026.

On December 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint to examine the sobriety of drivers on Main Street in Comber in the Municipality of Lakeshore. 

Terry CHURCH, 60-years-old of Wheatley, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 6, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On December 24, 2025, at approximately 8:12 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single vehicle collision on Gore Road in Harrow of the Town of Essex.

Heather-Marie KEOGH, 42-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation

Renee POTVIN, 45-years-old of Leamington was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

On December 27, 2025, at approximately 4:05 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint around Lesperance Road and McNorton Street in the Town of Tecumseh.

Robert HAYES, 55-years-old of Tecumseh was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 7, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On December 27, 2025, at approximately 6:53 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a two-vehicle collision on Rourke Line Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

Craig TOWE, 42-years-old of Belle River was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 9, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On December 27, 2025, at approximately 8:49 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington.

Isak NEUFELD, 40-years-old of Leamington was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Mischief – Interfere with lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property – under $5000 (two counts)

On December 28, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on County Road 34 in the Ruthven area of the Town of Kingsville.

Christopher WATSON, 53-years-old of Pelee Island was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Canadian Cannabis Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
  • Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 30, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On January 1, 2026, at approximately 9:54 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Lesperance Road in the Town of Tecumseh.

Stepan POHAIDAK, 51-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 15, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On January 1, 2026, at approximately 4:09 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Marlborough Street East in the Town of Leamington.

Victoria HATHAWAY, 51-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (Two counts)

On January 2, 2026, at approximately 6:31 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Manning Road in the Town of Tecumseh.

Melki FLORES MARTINEZ, 42-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 11, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On January 2, 2026, at approximately 7:43 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on County Road 22 near I.C. Roy Drive in the Municipality of Lakeshore. 

Todd LARAMIE, 64-years-old of Windsor, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, and Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

  • Fail to have insurance card

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 15, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On January 3, 2026, at approximately 3:43 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near the Manning Road exit in the Municipality of Lakeshore. 

Iva BIELSKYTE, 19-years-old of Brantford, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Liquor Licence Control Act, and Highway Traffic Act offences:

On January 3, 2026, at approximately 7:46 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Talbot Street North in the Town of Essex.

Joseph ALBANO, 51-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 20, 2026, to answer to the charges.

On January 4, 2026, at approximately 3:26 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Tecumseh Road in the Town of Tecumseh.

Jasmin KAHRIMAN, 37-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on January 14, 2026, to answer to the charges.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute for all charged drivers.
