Sean KENNEDY – Drunk Driving

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with impaired and stunt driving charges.

On May 15, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 in Horton Township for driving at a high rate of speed.

As a result of the investigation, Sean KENNEDY, age 37 of Ottawa was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·        Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt- excessive speed

·        Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted speed limit

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 16, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

April Nicole KRZYZANIAK – Impaired Driving

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a traffic stop on Beachburg Road in Whitewater Region Township.

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driving leaving Arnprior.

Police located the vehicle on Beachburg Road and initiated a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, April Nicole KRZYZANIAK, age 53 of Whitewater Region was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 4, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Adam MAY – Drunk Driving

(ESSA, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a motor vehicle collision in Essa Township

On May 17, 2025, shortly before 5:00 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP attended a single motor vehicle collision on 25th Side Road in Essa Township. Officers were met with a driver and during the interaction, grounds were formed that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to the driver’s arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, Adam MAY 47-years-old of Clearview was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Driver fail to surrender licence
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on June 19, 2025, to answer to the charge. The driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.

Eric MAINVILLE Was Arrested

(LIMOGES, ON) – A 43-year-old is facing multiple charges after police witnessed dangerous driving in Limoges.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, shortly after 3:00 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police East Region TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enforcement) team observed a vehicle being driven dangerously through a residential area, while children playing.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, and the then driver fled on foot. An arrest was made a short time later.

Eric MAINVILLE of Limoges has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on September 3, 2025.

The vehicle was impounded for 45-days.

Pedestrian Struck In Listowel

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Police are seeking assistance with a fail to remain collision that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth.

On May 17, 2025 at around 10:00 p.m. the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the crosswalk at Livingstone Ave South and Elma St W in the Town of Listowel for a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian did not sustain any injuries. The vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. The vehicle and driver are described as:

  • Newer white compact SUV with a possible dent on the hood from the collision.
  • Young short white female with long dark hair.

This investigation is ongoing. Daniel Cisneros Was Arrested

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving information about a possible impaired driver.

On Monday May 19, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm officers responded to reports regarding a motor vehicle departing a local establishment after being cutoff from service of alcohol. A traffic stop was conducted in Fenelon Township on Highway 35 and the driver was arrested and charged.

Daniel Cisneros, 31-year-old of Whitby, was charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Lawful Demand
  • Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and drivers license was suspended for 90 days.

Body Located In Water

(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) – Police are investigating the discovery of a deceased person in the Ottawa River in the Clarence-Rockland area.

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports that a body had been located in the water, offshore from the Dallaire Street area.

While there is no indication of any threat to public safety, residents may notice an increased police presence in the vicinity as the investigation continues.

At this stage of the investigation, information regarding the individual’s identity is not yet available. Investigators are working to determine who the person was.

The Russell County Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by the OPP Forensic Identification Services.

2 More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two drivers during the first day of the holiday long weekend.

On May 16, 2025, at 8:40 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with officers from the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team were conducting a RIDE program on Kanien’keha:ka lohatatie, formerly Muskoka Road 38, near Muskoka Road 169 in Muskoka Lakes Township. A vehicle proceeded to the RIDE program and officers began an investigation into the presence of alcohol, and subsequently arrested and charged 34-year-old Michael QUESNEL of Gravenhurst with Operation while Impaired- Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 17, 2025, to answer to his charge.

On May 17, 2025, at 12:25 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of loud vehicle driving in an unsafe manner in Annie Williams Park, on Santas Village Road in Bracebridge, as well as along side streets in the same area. Officers located the vehicle nearby and subsequently arrested and charged 18-year-old Landen KEOWN of Bracebridge with Operation while Impaired, Over 80, Dangerous Operation, Mischief and Novice Driver- B.A.C. above zero. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 10, 2025, to answer to his charges.

Firey Crash, Burn & Run – Suspect At Large

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred at a golf course in Muskoka Lakes Township and significant damage was caused.

On May 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on Golf Avenue Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence coming to rest on a tennis court causing significant damage to the both the property and the vehicle. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been located.

James Shaw – Impaired Driving

CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON – On May 17, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a parking gate at a local resort.

The driver left the scene following the collision. Shortly thereafter, officers received a second report from a Durham Special Constable regarding the same vehicle, which was located on Old Surrey Lane, just outside of Bobcaygeon.

As a result of the investigation, James Shaw, a 59-year-old resident of Oshawa, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

In addition to the charges, the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The OPP reminds all motorists that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. The OPP is committed to removing impaired drivers from our roads through ongoing enforcement and public education.

(INGERSOLL, ON) – An individual from Ingersoll is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to Thames Street North, in the Town of Ingersoll, to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.  

Officers patrolled and located to the vehicle.

Vanessa Mcleod, 36-years-old, of the Ingersoll, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 17, 2025.

Joseph Newbery – Drunk Driving

(ZORRA, ON) – An individual from the City of London is facing impaired driving related charges after a collision at a business in Thamesford.

On May 16, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a collision in a parking lot, at a business in Thamesford. There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.

Joseph Newbery, 30-years-old, of the City of London, has been charged with:  

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on June 24, 2025.

Essex OPP Weekend Update

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON)- Essex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue their enforcement this Victoria Day long weekend as they participate in the province-wide campaign for Canada Road Safety Week and Safe Boating Week. You will continue to see extra patrols around the clock to keep the motoring public and waterways safe.

On Saturday May 17, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Essex County OPP Marine Unit was on patrol along the Detroit River in the Town of Lasalle observed an individual on a paddle board without a Personal Flotation Device (PFD). The 28-year-old male from Windsor was charged under the Canada Shipping Act (CSA with:

·      CSA 2001 – SVR 209(1)(a) Operating human-powered pleasure craft without personal flotation device or lifejacket of appropriate size for each person on board. 

A life jacket or (PFD) is required on a stand-up paddleboard in Canada. While leashes are recommended for safety, they cannot be used as a replacement for a lifejacket or PFD. Like any activity in any environment, make sure you “know before you go” and that you match your adventure with your ability level and the conditions that day. Make sure that you have the right equipment to have fun safely. 

On Sunday May 18, 2025, at approximately 1:23 a.m., a member from the Leamington Detachment was on patrol on Talbot Street West in the Municipality of Leamington when a vehicle that was running but parked caught the officer’s attention. 

As a result of the investigation, Raul HERERA DEJESUS, 30 years of age from Leamington was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued a 90-day drivers licence suspension and vehicle impounded for 7 days as per statute as well is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on June 3, 2025, to answer to the charges.

ALERT: 40 Year Old Abducted, Assaulted & Now Deceased Suspects At Large

(GUELPH, ON) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying five suspects connected to the abduction and death of a 40-year-old male in the City of Guelph.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving two vehicles, southbound on Hanlon Parkway, north of Stone Road. One person with life-threatening injuries was located at the scene and transported to the hospital by ambulance where they were pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as a 40-year-old male from Cambridge.

Upon further investigation, police learned that the victim was assaulted, kidnapped and abducted from a residence on Fife Road by five suspects who fled in two different vehicles. The first vehicle is described as a grey 2010 Toyota Venza Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), with Ontario licence plate CVBX 602. Police are seeking public assistance to locate the second vehicle, described as a white 2013 Dodge RAM pickup truck with Ontario licence plate BZ 85153. Photos of the suspect vehicles are attached.

Police believe this is an isolated incident. The Wellington County Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with the Guelph Police Service, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. 

Police are asking residents and businesses in the area to review their security camera footage and share any relevant images or videos with the OPP. Drivers who were in the area at the time are also asked to check their dash cams for any footage that may show the collision or suspect vehicles.

Human Remains Found

(TYENDINAGA MOHAWK TERRITORY, ON) – Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the discovery of human remains at a location near Highway 49, between Old Highway 2 and Lower Slash Road.

The remains appear to have been there for an extended period of time.

The investigation is in the initial stages, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

There is believed to be no risk to public safety, but the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.
