Amy HENDRICK – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP., ON) – A single vehicle collision in South Frontenac Township has led to impaired driving charges.

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, shortly before 4:30 p.m., officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Keeley Road. A vehicle had left the road but remained upright. Frontenac Paramedics attended the scene but the driver refused medical treatment.

Officers utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device, and the driver was arrested and transported for the detachment for further testing.

Amy HENDRICK, age 24 of South Frontenac Township, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on June 24, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Calvin SUGANAQUEB Was Arrested

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On May 31st, 2025 at approximately 5:39 a.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a traffic complaint along Highway 61, within the City of Thunder Bay.

The complaint vehicle was located & a traffic stop was initiated. Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, Calvin SUGANAQUEB, 42, of the First Nation Territory of Wunnumin Lake, Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs;
  • Dangerous Operation;

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on June 25th, 2025.

19 Year Deceased Following Motorcycle Collision

(MIDLAND, ON) A motocycle operator has succumbed to his injuries following a single vehicle motorcycle collision this afternoon.

On May 30, 2025 just before 5:00 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Curry Road in the Town of Midland in response to a report of a collision. Officers located an injured male near a badly damaged motorcycle.

Simcoe County Paramedics performed life-saving measures and transported the operator to a local hospital however he was pronounced deceased. The collision victim is a 19 year-old male of Tay Township.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) members are currently in attendance to assist with the investigation. Curry Road between Midland Point Road and Tay Point Road is expected to be closed late into the evening.

This investigation is on-going however it is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP are asking for anyone who may have witnessed, has video/dash cam footage or information relating to the collision and has not yet spoken with police, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

2 More Impaired Drivers Taken Off The Road

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two drivers with impaired driving after receiving concerns from members of the public.

On May 23, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers received a concern from a member of the public who was driving on Highway 11 South in Bracebridge about the driving behaviour of another motorist. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and subsequently arrested and charged 34-year-old Kimberly ELLIOTT of Barrie, ON with Operation while Impaired, Operation while Impaired – Over 80 and Operation while Prohibited. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 24, 2025 to answer to her charges.

On May 24, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded reports of concerning driving from a member of the public on Highway 11 North in Bracebridge. The vehicle was located a short time later travelling south on Highway 11 South and officers conducted a traffic stop. Police arrested and charged 38-year-old Alanna ROGERS of Bracebridge, ON with Operation while Impaired, Operation while Impaired – Over 80 and Dangerous Driving. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 17, 2025 to answer to her charges.

3 More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three drivers during the early morning hours today with impaired driving related offences.

On May 30, 2025, at 12:30 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision that occurred on Kanien’keha:ka lohatatie, formerly Muskoka Road 38, in Muskoka Lakes Township. The vehicle had partially left the roadway and became stuck in a swamp, none of the occupants sustained injuries. Officers attended and conducted an investigation into the collision and subsequently arrested and charged 37-year-old Shelby LOSHAW of Port Carling, ON with Operation while Impaired and Over 80. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 24, 2025, to answer to her charges.

A short time later, at 2:45 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to complaints about a disturbance at an address near Balls Drive in Bracebridge and when they arrived, observed a vehicle leaving that caused concern. Officers conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 18-year-old Landen KEOWN of Bracebridge with Operation while Impaired, Over 80, Driving While Under Suspension and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 24, 2025, to answer to his charges.

At 5:25 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 118 East in Bracebridge. A vehicle left the roadway and a passerby reported a concern over the condition of the driver. Officers attended, conducted an investigation into the collision and subsequently arrested and charged 36-year-old Lucas ROWE of Bracebridge, ON with Operation while Impaired -Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 24, 2025, to answer to his charge.

In Ontario, drivers who are charged with offences relating to impaired driving have their drivers licenses immediately suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded.

Attempted Murder – Name Released

(HAWKESBURY, ON) – One person has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in Hawkesbury.

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an officer from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was flagged down outside a residence on Main Street East in Hawkesbury,

It was learned that a 39-year-old male had been assaulted in the nearby Pioneer Park area and had suffered stab wounds. Additional officers converged on the scene and conducted first aid until Russell County Paramedics arrived. They transported the victim to hospital. The male was later transferred to a regional trauma centre for treatment of serious injuries.

Officers located an arrested a suspect in the area without further incident.

Alexandre PIETTE-RACINE, age 25 of Champlain Township has been charged with attempt to commit murder.

The accused remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Friday, May 30, 2025.

The Hawkesbury Crime Unit is continuing the investigation, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.

Jordan ORR Was Arrested

(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP., ON) – A noisy vehicle has led to multiple charges against a Godfrey resident.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, shortly before noon, officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a loud vehicle on White Lake Road.

Officers located the pick-up truck and spoke to the driver. They determined that the individual was not supposed to be driving and placed him under arrested. The officers also located a quantity of cannabis in the cab of the truck.

Jordan ORR, age 36, has been charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code – two counts
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Operating a vehicle without insurance
  • Having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on June 24, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

Multiple People Injured & Vehicles Damaged – Suspect(s) At Large

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Police are requesting public assistance with identifying a vehicle of interest in relation to incidents where multiple vehicles were damaged and people were injured.

On May 27, 2025 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of multiple vehicles being damaged by having items thrown at them on Perth Road 164 near Perth Line 89 in the Municipality of North Perth.

Two people sustained minor injuries as a result of these incidents.

The vehicle of interest is described as:

–       Black Ram pick-up truck

–       LED lights

–       Blacked out “RAM” logo

Jurgen SUMANN Was Arrested

(MIDLAND, ON) – A call to the OPP Communication Centre by a community member at approximately 6:10 p.m. reporting a possible impaired driver operating a black Dodge pick up leaving a Simcoe County Road 93, Midland retail store parking lot has led to an OPP investigation involving drugs.

Officers of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced an investigation into the complaint which led them to an Olive Street, Midland address where they located the suspect vehicle and spoke with the driver.

The officers entered into an impaired by drug investigation which was continued with the assistance of an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer and as a result of this investigation 58 year old Jurgen SUMANN of Midland has been charged criminally with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice  on the July 10, 2025, and was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension. The involved vehicle was towed and subject to a 7 day vehicle impound in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment members would like to remind the motoring public to drive sober; this includes drug consumption as well. Impairment by drugs is a crime under the Criminal Code and drivers are subject to the same penalties as those who are charged with driving while impaired by alcohol. A charge of impairment by drugs involves all drugs, be it prescription, over-the-counter and those that are illegal. We and our road safety partners consistently remind motorists to plan ahead and to use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Laura RIZZO & Sylvia GOLEC Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals with alcohol related offences.

On May 24, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Caledon OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of McEwan Drive East and Highway 50, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after, investigating officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers subsequently formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Following the investigation, Laura RIZZO, 52, of Bolton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On May 26, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Caledon OPP officers received a report of a single vehicle collision on Innis Lake Road, near King Street, in the Town of Caledon. Shortly after, officers arrived on scene and subsequently formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Sylvia GOLEC, 30, of Etobicoke, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 12, 2025, to answer to their charges. The vehicles were also impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licences were suspended for a period of 90 days.

Repeat Offender Arrested In Parkhill – Details Released

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – Driver facing multiple charges after vehicle fails to stop for police.

On May 27, 2025, at 2:14 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a business at 395 Main Street in Lucan, Lucan Biddulph, for the report of a possibly wanted individual.

Police arrived on scene at which time the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed. A passenger in the vehicle received minor injuries as they were exiting the vehicle as it sped away.

The vehicle failed to stop for police at which time police disengaged due to public safety concerns.

The passenger was transported to hospital as a precaution.

At approximately 4:18 a.m., the suspect vehicle was observed at a business located at 2227 Elginfield Road in Parkhill, North Middlesex, at which time the vehicle again fled from officers. Due to public safety concerns officers did not pursue the vehicle.

The driver was later located on foot in Parkhill. After a brief struggle the accused was placed under arrest.

As a result, Blake COLLINGS, a 21-year-old of no fixed address, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm

·      Flight from peace officer

·      Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Assault with A Weapon

·      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for bail.

Joshua Beam Was Arrested

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – On May 29, 2025 at 2;10 a.m., officers of the Huntsville O.P.P. were conducting general patrol on King William Street. 

Officers observed a vehicle parked at the rear of a local business with a male apparently asleep inside the vehicle. The interaction quickly evolved into an impaired investigation and the driver was arrested for impaired driving. During the investigation, a schedule 1 substance and a firearm were located inside the vehicle. There is no threat to public safety.

As a result of the investigation, Joshua Beam, 39 years old of Burks Falls Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – drugs

·      Possession of schedule 1 substance – trafficking

·      Transport prohibited device

·      Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition

The accused was held for a Bail hearing on May 29,2025 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and the accused was also served a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension.

Bank Robbery – Jeffrey QUINTAL Arrested

(RUSSELL TWP, ON) – One person has been arrested after a bank robbery in Russell Township.

On May 27, 2025, just after 9:30 a.m., officers with the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported robbery in progress at a bank on Concession Street.

The male had fled before officers arrived. Witnesses were able to provide a detailed description of the robber, and the vehicle used to flee the scene.

When an officer located and stopped the stop the car a few minutes later, the driver deliberately collided with the cruiser at low speed. The driver then drove off. Officers with the Hawkesbury Detachment were able to stop the car just before 10:30 a.m. on Highway 417 and a male was arrested without further incident.

Jeffrey QUINTAL, age 40 of Clarence-Rockland, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Dangerous operation
  • Flight from a peace officer – two counts
  • Mischief under $5000

The accused remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled to continue before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on May 29, 2025.

Simon LAUZE Was Arrested

(LOYALIST TWP., ON) – Charges have been laid after reports of a fast moving, swerving vehicle on Highway 401 in Loyalist Township.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, just after 10:00 a.m., officers with the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a fast-moving car heading westbound. Officers observed erratic driving behaviour and were able to stop the vehicle west of Shannonville Road. The driver was arrested without incident.

Simon LAUZE, age 31 of Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Stunt driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on July 8, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been seized and suspended for 30 days and their car was impounded for 14 days.
