Terry FOX Was Arrested In Huron-Kinloss

(TOWNSHIP OF HURON-KINLOSS) – One person is facing several charges, including impaired operation, following an investigation in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

On Monday February 2nd, 2026, at approximately 3:44 p.m. the South Bruce OPP were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on Concession 8, Huron Township. Upon arrival, police were advised an individual had left the scene in a motor vehicle.

South Bruce OPP located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Officers arrested the driver and transported the individual to detachment.

 Terry FOX, 34-years-old of Huron-Kinloss has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Uttering Threats- Cause death or Bodily Harm
  • Assault

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 18, 2026.

Susana REMPEL – Drunk Driving

 (TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), arrested an impaired driver thanks to a call from a concerned citizen.

On January 31, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Oxford OPP responded to a report of a driver who appeared to be intoxicated.

As a result of the investigation, Susana REMPEL, a 28-year-old resident of Tillsonburg, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on March 17, 2026.

Justice DOUCETTE-PITAWANAKWAT Was Arrested

(ARCHIPELAGO, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 69 in Archipelago Township. Officers attended and initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Justice DOUCETTE-PITAWANAKWAT, 28 years-of-age of Birch Island was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drug
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – Cocaine
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by a qualified driver
  • Class G1 licence holder – drive on prohibited highway
  • Class G1 licence holder – drive at unlawful hour

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 2, 2026. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Ayush DABAS – Drunk Driving

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a Pembroke resident with impaired driving offences after a recent investigation.      

On the evening of January 30, 2026, police received a driving complaint about a cargo van that was being driven in an erratic manner. An MTO officer located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 17 in Laurentian Valley Township. UOV OPP officers attended to investigate, and deficiencies were noted on the vehicle. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.  

As a result of this incident 24-year-old Ayush DABAS of Pembroke is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC), Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
  • No windshield wiper – commercial motor vehicle
  • No clear view to front
  • Driver fail to surrender licence
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. They were released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 24, 2026.

Daniel GOGOLIN – Drunk Driving

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Beckwith Township resident with impaired driving.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Lanark County OPP received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 15 in Beckwith Township. Officers attended and located the vehicle just after 6:30 p.m. After speaking with the driver, he was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel GOGOLIN, 35-years-old, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Dangerous operation

·        Drive vehicle with open container of alcohol

·        Obstructed licence plate

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Wajdi SHAMSA Was Arrested

(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest after locating stolen vehicles in a chop-shop discovered in Buckhorn.

On Thursday January 29, 2026, shortly after noon, Peterborough County OPP officers received information of the location of a possible stolen vehicle. Officers attended the location, which was a business in the Buckhorn area. Police were advised that an attached unit was being leased but limited information was available on the owner. 

On Friday January 30, 2026, members of the OPP Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a warrant at the leased portion of the business where the vehicle in question was located. Inside the unit, various stolen vehicles were located that had been cut into pieces and wrapped for shipment.

As a result of the warrant execution, officers seized various parts from at least 13 stolen newer model vehicles, a forklift, various tools, as well as other items believed to belong to the victims of the thefts. Officers also found various licence plates believed to have been from previous stolen vehicles that had been at the location.

While at the scene, officers were made aware of the location of the individual associated to the unit, who was subsequently apprehended and arrested. The accused was transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment.

Wajdi SHAMSA (age 41) of Toronto, ON., was arrested and charged with;

• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Paramedic Airlifted After Collision With Transport Truck

(MADOC, ON) – The Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two‑vehicle collision in Madoc that resulted in one driver being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, February 2, 2026, shortly after 3:00 p.m., officers and emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving an ambulance and a transport truck at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 62 in Madoc.

Two paramedics were transported to a local hospital. One was later airlifted to a trauma centre by ORNGE due to life‑threatening injuries. The second paramedic is being treated with undetermined injuries.

The two occupants of the transport truck were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The intersection remains closed while repairs to the traffic lights are underway.

Peter McCONNELL – Drunk Driving

(MIDLAND, ON) Members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Sunday afternoon, resulting in charges.

On February 1, 2026, at approximately 4:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call reporting a possible impaired driver travelling in the east side of the Town of Midland. Multiple callers reported that a black pick-up truck was being operated erratically.

Officers quickly located the vehicle in the parking lot of a plaza on Midland Avenue. Witnesses confirmed that the driver had exited the vehicle and entered the store. Officers identified the individual upon exit and conducted a screening test. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for breath testing.

As a result of the investigation, Peter McCONNELL, 55 years, of Midland, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences, as well as Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Over 80 Milligrams

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on February 12, 2026. Upon being charged with impaired driving, the driver’s licence of the accused is suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle they were operating is impounded for seven days.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – 3 Arrested

 (INGERSOLL, ON) – Three individuals are facing charges after they were involved in a single-vehicle collision in the Town of Ingersoll.

At approximately 4:40 p.m., on January 30, 2026, members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a single-vehicle collision, on King Street West, in the Town of Ingersoll.

With the assistance of Middlesex OPP and the OPP Canine Unit, all occupants from the vehicle were located.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle involved in the collision had been reported stolen out of Middlesex County in December 2025.

Terrel GLOVER, a 33-year-old resident of London, Troy LEDIET, a 46-year-old resident of London and Joshua MACDOUELL, a 39-year-old resident of Woodstock have all been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

MACDOUELL was also charged with Break and Enter.

The accused individuals were held for a bail hearing and have since been released. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on March 3, 2026.

Franklin FRENCH Arrested For Drunk Driving Following Collision

(SARNIA, ON) – An individual is facing charges following a two-vehicle collision in the City of Sarnia.

On February 2, 2026, shortly after 5:00 p.m., members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision at the intersection of Modeland Road at Wellington Street in Sarnia, where one driver failed to remain at the scene.

There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, Franklin FRENCH, a 48-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Failure to stop after accident

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was release from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 16, 2026, in the City of Sarnia.

Alexander ARNOLD – Drunk Driving

 (NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver is facing multiple charges after members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, detected and arrested a dangerous driver on Highway 401.

At approximately 12:45 a.m., on January 28, 2026, a member of Oxford OPP detected a vehicle being driven dangerously in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, in Norwich Township.

Multiple units were engaged to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.

As a result of the investigation, Alexander ARNOLD, a 24-year-old resident of Orangeville, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Stunt Driving
  • Drive Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, on March 10, 2026.

Brandon HOUSTON & Jackson WATT Were Arrested

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. Two impaired drivers were taken of the roadway this week.

On Friday, January 30th, 2026, at approximately 10:31 p.m., officers of the Huntsville OPP Detachment, received a call for service for an intoxicated male attempting to leave a residence on Walker Lake Drive, Lake of Bays Township. Information received was that a male was intoxicated and threatening to leave the residence after a verbal argument ensued over political views with other at the location.

Officers located the vehicle travelling on Highway 60 and conducted a vehicle stop. Officers suspected the driver to have alcohol in his body and demanded the driver provide a breath sample into an approved screening device. The driver subsequently registered a fail.

As a result of the investigation, Brandon HOUSTON, 46 years old of Collingwood Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody with a court date of February 24th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On Saturday January 31, 2026, Huntsville O.P.P. were on general patrol in the Town of Huntsville when they observed an orange Toyota pick-up truck travelling West Road. The vehicle caught officers attention as it swerved lane to lane, was being operated erratically and even hitting a snowbank along the roadway.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers spoke with the driver and detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. Officers formed a reasonable suspicion that the male was operating a conveyance after consuming alcohol and the driver subsequently registered a fail on the roadside approved screening device.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged Jackson WATT, 29 years old of Huntsville Ontario, with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused was released from custody with a court date of February 24th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING.

These events` could have easily been avoided had the drivers planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs. Don’t include alcohol or drugs in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.

Noah SHERIDAN & Marvin MASSIE-AKEY Were Arrested

(DRYDEN, ON) – Two individuals have been arrested and charged following a drug trafficking investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the OPP Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members from the Dryden OPP detachment.

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, members of the North West Region ERT conducted a traffic stop as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Two individuals were arrested and charged with multiple drug related offences.

The search and arrests resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, cell phones, Canadian currency, and other drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, Noah SHERIDAN, a 23-year-old male from Hamilton, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Marvin MASSIE-AKEY, a 22-year-old male from Hamilton, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

The accused individuals were remanded into custody following bail court and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden at a later date.

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – Two individuals are facing charges following a traffic stop in Haldimand County.

On Friday January 30, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., while on general patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on King Street, Hagersville.

The investigation determined that there was a quantity of suspected illicit drugs within the vehicle and both occupants were taken into custody.

William THOMAS, 48-years-old of Ohsweken has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
  • Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor

Robert SEARS, 39-years-old of Hagersville has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
  • Passenger – Fail to Properly Wear Seatbelt

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 17, 2026.

Colin KRAGTEN Was Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an impaired driving investigation in Simcoe.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, at approximately 7:24 p.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Orchard Avenue in Simcoe.

Officers located the vehicle and, following an interaction with the driver, took the individual into custody without incident.

As a result, 38-year-old Colin KRAGTEN of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
