One Airlifted To Hospital – Richard MOORE Arrested Again #3Strikes

(TOWNSHIP OF MUSKOKA LAKES, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a boating collision that occurred on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka Lakes Township that sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On July 19, 2025, just before 5:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS and Muskoka Lakes Fire Department, received several emergency calls from members of the public reporting that there had been a boating collision on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka Lakes Township near Skeleton Lake Road 5. Callers reported that a boat had collided with a swimmer and people on shore had managed to bring the victim out of the water. First responders were on scene quickly and the victim, a 22-year-old Georgina man, was rushed to hospital and further transported by air to a Toronto area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police located the operator of the vessel and have arrested and charged 39-year-old Richard MOORE of Niagara Falls, ON with the following:

  • Impaired Operation Causing Bodily Harm
  • Failure/Refusal to Comply with Demand (breath) – Bodily Harm
  • Fail to Stop at Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order

He was held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

47 Year Old Arrested After Falling Off Bike

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged the driver of a motorcycle with impaired driving in Muskoka Lakes Township.

On July 14, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to concerns from members of the public about a motorcycle operator who had fallen off of his motorcycle in Torrance, Muskoka Lakes Township. Officers attended and with the assistance of the public, located the motorcycle operator nearby.

Police arrested and charged 47-year-old Jeffery MARION of Muskoka Lakes Twp with Impaired Operation and Over 80, along with several Highway Traffic Act Offences. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 2, 2025 to answer to his charges.

Firey Crash, Burn & Run – Suspect At Large

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred at a golf course in Muskoka Lakes Township and significant damage was caused.

On May 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on Golf Avenue Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence coming to rest on a tennis court causing significant damage to the both the property and the vehicle. The driver fled the scene and has not yet been located.

5 Arrested – Stolen Vehicle Recovered

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged five people after recovering a stolen vehicle in Port Carling.

On December 9, 2024 at 3:45 p.m. a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting patrols on Muskoka Road 118 just west of Port Carling when he was notified by the

Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) in the police cruiser of a possible stolen vehicle. The vehicle turned in to a service centre and the officer conducted a traffic stop and confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Caledon.

Police have charged 22-year-old Yogesh KUMAR of North York, ON, 23-year-old Ajpreet SINGH of Caledon, ON, 25-year-old Amritpal SINGH of Caledon, ON, and 23-year-old Sumit SUMIT of Scarborough, ON each with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime OVER $5000 CC 355(a) and Possession of Break In Instruments CC 351(1).

Police have also charged Anmol SINGH of Mississauga, ON with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime OVER $5000 CC 355(a), Possession of Break In Instruments CC 351(1) and Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin CDSA 4(1).

The accused parties will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 21, 2025 to answer to their charges.

Two Facing Firearms Charges After Traffic Stop

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people with serious offenses after a traffic stop in Muskoka Lakes Township on September 14, 2024.

On September 14, 2024, at 12:10 a.m., a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement on Muskoka Road 169 near Acton Island Road in Muskoka Lakes Township and encountered a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and the officer conducted a traffic stop. One occupant of the vehicle expressed that they required medical care, Muskoka EMS attended to assist and transported them to hospital for an unrelated and non-life-threatening condition.

Officers continued their investigation and subsequently arrested and charged 34-year-old Clayton EISAN of Port Carling, ON with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) CDSA5(2)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer CC129(a)
  • Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest, Prosecution or Obstruct Justice CC403(1)(d)
  • Breach of Recognizance CC811
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 CC354(1)(a)
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose CC88

Gurmehakpreet SINGH – Hit & Run, Theft, Etc.

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a vehicle fire that occurred in Muskoka Lakes Township during the early morning hours today.

On September 16, 2024, at 2:30 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers, along with Muskoka Lakes Fire and Muskoka EMS, responded to reports by members of the public of a vehicle that had left the roadway, struck a rock cut and was engulfed in flames on Muskoka Road 118 just east of Scarcliffe Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. Officers attended the scene and initially were unable to located the driver, further investigation revealed that the driver had taken the vehicle without the owner’s permission and fled the scene after the collision.

Police have charged 21-year-old Gurmehakpreet SINGH of Port Carling, ON with the following:

  • Take Motor Vehicle without Consent CC 335(1)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a)
  • Fail to Remain at the Scene HTA 200(1)(a)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle with no Plates HTA 7(1)(b)(i)

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 22, 2024 to answer to his charges.

Cameron RAFFAELE – Impaired Driving

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with impaired operation of a vessel after responding to a boating collision in Georgian Bay Township.

On July 19, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS and Georgian Bay Fire Department responded to reports of a boat that hit a floating dock and was circling out of control on Stewart Lake in Georgian Bay Township. Officers arrived and commenced an investigation and the operator was safely brought to shore. He was assessed by paramedics and released at the scene and the boat was brought under control. Police have charged 47-year-old Cameron RAFFAELE of Mactier, ON with the following offenses:

  • Operation While Impaired – Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Operating a Boat Underway with Open Container of Liquor
  • Operating Non-Human-Powered Pleasure Craft Without PFD

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, 2024 to answer to his charges. Vessel operators who are charged with impaired driving offenses suffer the same consequence as those operating motor vehicles, including an immediate 90 day drivers license suspension.

Cole CROUTER Hit & Run, Drunk Driving

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with impaired driving offences after responding to a motor vehicle collision in Muskoka Lakes Township.

On July 20, 2024, just before 1:00 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway and collided in the ditch on Russ Hammell Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. Officers arrived and commenced an investigation into the cause of the collision and subsequently arrested and charged 30-year-old Cole CROUTER of Aurora, ON with the following offenses:

  • Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Dangerous Operation CC 320.13(1)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer CC 129(a)
  • Fail to Remain at Collision under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) 200(1)(a)
  • Drive with No Licence HTA 32(1)

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 20, 2024 to answer to his charges. Drivers who are charged with impaired driving offenses also suffer an immediate 90 day drivers license suspension and have their vehicle impounded.

Crystal FEVREAU Was Arrested

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with impaired driving offences after responding to reports of a collision in Muskoka Lakes Township.

On July 14, 2024, at 8:50 p.m. Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS and Muskoka Lakes Fire Department attended a collision scene on Muskoka Road 169 near Hamills Point Road after a single vehicle left the roadway and landed down a deep embankment. Members of the public tried to assist as the driver fled the scene and police located her at a nearby licensed establishment.

Police have arrested and charged 40-year-old Crystal FEVREAU of Bracebridge with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, 2024, to answer to her charges. Drivers who are charged with impaired driving offenses also suffer an immediate 90-day drivers license suspension and have their vehicle impounded.
