Jimmy NADON Arrested Again, Facing Numerous Charges #3Strikes

(LONGLAC, ON) – A driver has been arrested for several Criminal Code offences after fleeing from police.

On November 28, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence in Long Lake 58 First Nation. Greenstone OPP members located the vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 11.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, to which the vehicle did not stop and continued westbound. Officers attempted to block the vehicle at which time a police cruiser was hit and damaged. The vehicle continued and was later observed by police on Highway 11, near Geraldton. A spike belt was successfully deployed, and the lone occupant was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Jimmy NADON, age 20, of Longlac, has been charged with the following offences:

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime – over $5,000

·      Theft of Motor Vehicle

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code

·      Flight from Peace Officer

·      Mischief Under $5,000 – two counts

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order – two counts

The accused was remanded into custody and set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on December 1st, 2025.

17 Year Old Pedestrian Killed #PurgeCouncil

(LONGLAC, ON) – Highway 11 between Hearst and Nipigon has reopened following an investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a transport truck and a pedestrian in Longlac.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Greenstone OPP and emergency services assisted by the North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement, Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams responded to reports of a collision on Highway 11 in Long Lake First Nation, west of Longlac.

As a result of the collision, a 17-year-old was pronounced deceased.

The highway reopened shortly before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

While the investigation remains ongoing, there has been no evidence obtained to date that would support charges.

Three Warrants Executed — Two Arrested, Guns & Cash Seized #OPP #Crime

(Longlac, ON) – An investigation led by the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance of the Organized Crime Enforcement Branch, and the Emergency Response Team lead to the execution of three search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and two individuals being arrested

On August 22nd, 2025, at approximately 5:00p.m., uniformed members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Dieppe Road in Longlac. The investigation resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of illicit substances, proceeds of crime, and multiple firearms.

As a result of the investigation, Joe NIEMAN, 50-years-old of Longlac, has been arrested and charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code:

–      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

–      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – in Canada

Ashley LUCAS, 43-year-old of Longlac, has been arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

–      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – in Canada

Both parties were released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Longlac on October 8, 2025.

Another Pedestrian Struck

(LONGLAC, ON) – On September 27th at approximately 9:24 p.m., members of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a collision involving one commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and one pedestrian along Highway 11 in Longlac.

The injured pedestrian has been identified as a 24-year-old male, from Thunder Bay. The male was transported to the Geraldton District Hospital and flown to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains on-going.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(LONGLAC, ON) – A traffic stop in Longlac has resulted in three individuals being arrested and charged under the controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). 

On September 19th, 2024, at 4:03 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police from the Greenstone Detachment, initiated a traffic stop on Highway 11 just west of Longlac.

The traffic stop resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, the driver and two occupants were arrested. Other items associated with drug trafficking including crack pipes and cell phones were also seized.

As a result, Aarisen ABRAHAM, 22-years-old, of Longlac, ON, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs

Brady BOUCHARD, 22-years-old, of Longlac, ON, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs

Iman Ahmed Mohamed ELSAWY, 27-years-old of Hamilton, ON has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·        Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other

The accused Aarisen ABRAHAM was held for bail hearing and remanded into custody with a future court date to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay.

The accused Brady BOUCHARD was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Longlac on October 30th, 2024.

The accused Iman Ahmed Mohamed ELSAWY was held for bail hearing and released with a future court date and schedule to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on October 31st, 2024.

Travis JACKSON Charged Following Death

(LONGLAC, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged with a drug trafficking offence following a death investigation in Longlac.

On April 3, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m., members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency medical services responded to a death at a residence on Louisa Street.

The deceased was identified as 51-year-old Rhonda REUBEN of Longlac. A post-mortem examination was conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto to determine the cause of death.

On August 21, 2024, as a result of the investigation, Travis JACKSON, 42 years old, of Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Schedule I substance – opioid, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date.

The investigation in continuing by the OPP Northwest Region Crime Unit, Regional Support Team, and OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Kevin DALLAIRE: Assault & Drunk Driving

(LONGLAC, ON) – Members of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment have arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation.

On August 3rd, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Greenstone OPP Detachment responded to a call for service of a possible impaired driver on Chipman Lake Road.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Greenstone OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Kevin DALLAIRE, 41-years-old, of Longlac ON, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Mischief Under $5,000

• Assault

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Longlac on September 18th, 2024.

Marc QUIRON Was Arrested Again

(LONGLAC, ON) – The Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Longlac resident with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, property obtained by crime under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

On July 17, 2024, members of the Greenstone OPP Detachment’s Crime Unit, Community Street Crime Unit and Uniform Patrol executed a search warrant at a property east of the Town of Longlac. Officers located stolen property during the execution of the search warrant resulting in the recovery of copper wire, an all-terrain vehicle and a dirt bike.

As a result, Marc QUIRON, 31-years-old, of Longlac has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

·      Theft under $5,000

·      Failure to comply with release order – three counts

The accused is currently being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Geraldton on July 26, 2024.
