(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person with several criminal and provincial charges following an attempted traffic stop.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, just after 11:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were performing traffic enforcement on County Road 1 in Stone Mills Township. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle travelling westbound at more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit when the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped just east of Napanee and driver was arrested.
Olivia VELEY, a 20-year-old from Stone Mills, was charged with:
- Flight from peace officer
- Dangerous operation
- Stunt driving
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Drive motor vehicle – no currently validated permit
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on December 16, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
