James HODGSON – Hit & Run, Impaired Operation, Etc.

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – An individual faces several charges following a collision in Lambton Shores.

On August 6, 2025, just before 5:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Dolway Drive, near Outer Drive, in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

Investigation determined that the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and the driver fled the scene. Police located the individual shortly after the collision and they were safely taken into custody.

There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, James HODGSON, 18-year-old of London, was charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Fail to remain
  • Young driver – B.A.C above zero
  • Person under 19 years consuming liquor
  • Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Person under 19 years having liquor

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on September 15, 2025.

Another Fatality In Lake Huron

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – One individual has died following an incident at Ipperwash Beach, Lake Huron, in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton Emergency Medical Services, and local fire responded to a request for assistance on Ipperwash Beach, near the end of Ipperwash Road.

Police attended and located an unresponsive individual who had been brought to shore by another person.

Early investigation determined that the individual had entered shallow water after diving from a vessel and became unresponsive.

The 44-year-old of Lambton Shores was transported to hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is continuing.

The Lambton County OPP would like to thank the members of the public who provided assistance prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

Another Fatality In Lake Huron

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – One individual has died following a drowning incident at Ipperwash Beach in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On June 30, 2025, shortly after 4:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Anishinabek Police Service, Lambton County Emergency Medical Services, and Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of two swimmers in distress in Lake Huron near East Parkway Drive.

A 12-year-old from London was safely brought to shore by members of the public and transported to hospital as a precaution.

A second individual was located unresponsive and transported to hospital. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, an 18-year-old from London was pronounced deceased at hospital.

The investigation is continuing.

The Lambton County OPP would like to thank the members of the public who provided assistance prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

18 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On June 25, 2025, at 10:15 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road, near Ipperwash Road.

As a result of the investigation, Ty DOUGLAS, 18-year-old of Lambton Shores, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, the Highway Traffic Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on July 21, 2025.

William HATCH – Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – An individual has been charged with impaired operation following a collision.

On June 6, 2025, just after 8:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 21 at Lakeshore Road in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle off the roadway. There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, William HATCH, 45-year-old of Camlachie, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on August 18, 2025.

Daniel POLAKOVIC – Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On November 29, 2024, just after 1:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single-vehicle collision on Haig Line at Blain Road, Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel POLAKOVIC, 43-year-old of London, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The driver was uninjured.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on January 15, 2025, to speak to the charges.

12 Year Old Facing Multiple Assault Charges

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton County, has charged a young person following a disturbance at a school in Forest.

On October 31, 2024, at 1:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on MacDonald Street in Forest, Lambton Shores, for the report of a disturbance.

As a result of the investigation, a 12-year-old of Lambton County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Assault (four counts)

·      Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle

·      Mischief – destroys or damages property

There were no serious injuries reported.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

Douglas STUTT – Assault, Threats, Etc.

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual following a disturbance.

On October 28, 2024, shortly after 9:00 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance at an address on Arkona Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

There were no reported injuries related to the incident.

As a result of the investigation, Douglas STUTT, 62-year-old of Lambton Shores was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault
  • Dangerous operation
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 12, 2024, in the City of Sarnia.

David GOULD – Drunk Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On September 6, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Townsend Line, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, David GOULD, 55-year-old of Waterloo, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 7, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Husan HABASH Was Arrested

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On August 31, 2024, at approximately 6:20 p.m., police received several reports from concerned members of the public regarding an individual operating a personal watercraft (PWC) on the shores of Lake Huron, Municipality of Lambton Shores. 

The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Anishinabek Police Service (APS) responded to the marine incident in the area of East Parkway Drive, Municipality of Lambton Shores. Police were able to locate the operator of the PWC.

As a result of the investigation, 48-year-old, Husan HABASH, of London was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

·        Dangerous operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is schedule to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on October 28, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charge.

The Lambton County OPP reminds all watercraft operators to adhere to water safety regulations and operate their vessels responsibly. Unsafe practices on the water not only endangers the operator but also poses significant risks to swimmers and other individuals enjoying the water.

Allen BOSCH Was Arrested Again

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested one individual after police responded to a report of a collision in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

On August 18, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of the Lambton County OPP along with the assistance of Anishinabek Police Service (APS) responded to a report of a collision on Lakeshore Road in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.

APS members located the vehicle and driver. After a brief conversation with the driver, the individual fled on foot from the police. Through investigation, it was determined that the subject vehicle was previously reported stolen out of the City of Sarnia.

With the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members of the Anishinabek Police Service, Lambton County OPP took one individual into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, Allen BOSCH, a 38-year-old of Sarnia was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000

·        Obstruct peace officer

·        Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused was held pending a bail hearing and further remanded into custody. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 21, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Bradley KLAVER Was Arrested

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – A traffic stop for speeding led to one individual being arrested and charged.

On July 23, 2024, just before 8:30 p.m., a member of Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lakeshore Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, Bradley KLAVER, 40-year-old of London, was charged with the following:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Walter MICHIELSENS – Impaired Driving

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – Multiple traffic complaints in Lambton Shores has led to the arrest of an impaired driver.

On July 21, 2024, just after 1:00 p.m., a member of Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of multiple traffic complaints of a vehicle being operated on Lakeshore Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores. Shortly thereafter, police located the vehicle and driver.

As a result of the investigation, Walter MICHIELSENS, 55-year-old of Grand Bend, was charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with the following:

  • Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operate unsafe vehicle

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 10, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On Friday June 14, 2024, at just after 11:00 p.m., a uniform member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Main Street, Thedford, ON for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

During the traffic stop, the officer located a quantity of suspected illegal drugs within the vehicle. Officers seized 43 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 29 grams of suspected Cocaine and a quantity of pills with an estimated street value of approximately $5700.

Terese BRESSETTE, 47-year-old of Kettle and Stoney Point, First Nation has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on August 7, 2024.

Andrew BARTLETT, 47-year-old of Thedford, ON has also been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Opioid

The accused remains in custody due to outstanding Warrants for Arrest.

Dogs Locked In Hot Car In Grand Bend – 3 Arrested

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On Sunday June 16, 2024, at just after 6:00 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were informed of two dogs locked in a vehicle in the area of Huron Street, Grand Bend, ON.    

Upon arrival, officers were directed to a locked vehicle in a parking lot containing two dogs. Officers were informed that the dogs had been in the vehicle for a period of time and appeared to be in some distress.  Officers gained access into the vehicle and transported the dogs to the Lambton OPP – Grand Bend Detachment where they were cared for by officers. The owners of the dogs were eventually located and as a result,

Dhuv JADAV, 31-year-old from Mississauga, Neel JADAV, 26-year-old from Scarborough and Harsh SUTHAR, 30-year-old from Gloucester have been charged with:

·      Cause Damage or Injury to Animal or Bird – Fail to Provide Suitable/Adequate Food, Water, Care, Shelter (2 counts each)

All accused have been released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on August 12, 2024. 

The PAWS Act and its regulations help ensure that animals are protected and treated in a humane manner. Protections include setting out basic standards of care that apply to all animals covered under the act, as well as specific standards of care that apply to animals in unique circumstances. Ontario has the strongest provincial penalties in Canada for animal abuse and neglect. The Ontario Animal Protection Call Center was notified by OPP and has launched their own investigation, further charges are pending.
