Dakota ADAM Was Arrested

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On June 15, 2024, at 7:17p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single motor vehicle collision along Paradise Lake Street in Huron-Kinloss.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests where the individual blew over four times the legal amount of alcohol.

Dakota ADAM, 20-years-old, Cambridge was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired
  • Dangerous Operation

Fatal Collision

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – One person is deceased following a single-vehicle crash in Huron-Kinloss Township.

On June 5, 2024, at 9:44 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle entering Lake Huron from Amberley Road.

Police, along with members of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services, removed the driver from the vehicle and attempted lifesaving measures. The driver, an 88-year-old individual from Mississauga, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

 The South Bruce OPP continues to investigate the collision, along with members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team and the Coroner’s Office.

Amberley Road was closed at the scene for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.

Collision Closes Amberly Road

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – Serious collision closes Amberley Road in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

On June 5, 2024, at 9:44 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron-Kinloss Fire Department, and Paramedic Services responded to a report of a serious collision involving a motor vehicle on Amberley Road in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team is on scene to assist with the investigation.

Amberley Road is closed at Ashfield Huron Road for the investigation. Please avoid the area.

19 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On April 13, 2024, at 4:47 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single motor vehicle collision along Bruce Road 86 in Huron-Kinloss.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Ryan BYTHEWAY, 19-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Another Anonymous Spouse Beater Caught & Released

(HURON-KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On March 9, 2024, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address in Huron-Kinloss Township and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old resident of Huron-Kinloss Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

–      Spousal Assault

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date. 

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
