Charge Laid In June Motorcycle Collision

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON)– One person is charged following an investigation into a serious traffic collision in June 2025.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, at approximately 3:48 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Grey County EMS and local fire services, responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on Grey Road 17 at Big Rock Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injury and was transported to hospital for treatment.

As a result, a 39-year-old driver from Owen Sound has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court in Owen Sound on August 11, 2025.

50 Year Old From Owen Sound Arrested

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from Owen Sound, Ontario is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Bruce Road 10, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025 at approximately 2:44 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Bruce Road 10 near Salem Road, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The driver had crashed into the ditch. There were no injuries.

Paul PERREAULT, 50-years-old, of Owen Sound, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
  • Adult Careless Driving- Highway Traffic Act

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 24, 2025.

Miykhael LEVEQUE-ROLLS – Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from Georgian Bluffs, Ontario is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a traffic complaint on main Street, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On Friday, June 20, 2025 at approximately 9:43 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver on Main Street, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Miykhael LEVEQUE-ROLLS, 36-years-old, of Georgian Bluffs, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
  • Adult Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 10, 2025.

21 Year Old From Owen Sound Deceased Following Collision

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – One person has died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision in Georgian Bluffs.

On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at approximately 4:05 p.m., the Grey Burce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with fire and paramedic services responded to Grey Road 5 for a head-on collision involving a passenger vehicle and utility truck.

The driver of vehicle, a 21-year-old from Owen Sound suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the utility truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Grey Road 5 was closed for several hours while OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continued to investigate. The roadway has since been reopened.

Nicholas BUTCHER Facing Weapons Charge

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) A Brampton man is charged following an early morning incident in Georgian Bluffs.

On June 15, 2025, at approximately 1:21 a.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious male walking along Second Street in Georgian Bluffs, reportedly carrying what appeared to be a firearm.

Officers arrived on scene and conducted a search of the area. A short time later, police located a male exiting a wooded area carrying what was later determined to be an imitation firearm. The individual was safely taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas BUTCHER 29-years-old from Brampton has been charged with:

  • Adult Possession of Imitation Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (two counts)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

22 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On May 4, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers from the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol in Grey Bruce.

During the patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on Thom Drive in Georgian Bluffs. As a result of the stop, the driver was arrested for impaired operation and subsequently brought to the OPP detachment for further testing.

Tyler RUDOLPH, 22-years-old, of Owen Sound, has been charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 3, 2025

Jeffery Mole Arrested Following Collision

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – An individual from South Bruce Peninsula is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Sideroad 9, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The driver had swerved to avoid a turkey and lost control of the vehicle, ending up in a ditch.

Jeffery Mole, 44-years-old, of South Bruce Peninsula, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 15, 2025.

3 Arrested At Traffic Stop – Details Relased

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On January 25, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., a member of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along Highway 21, Township of Georgian Bluffs.

The investigating officer confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was under a driver’s licence suspension, and subsequently placed under arrest. Further investigation resulted in the discovery of a quantity of suspected illicit drugs in the vehicle; two passengers were then also placed under arrest.

As a result of the traffic stop, three individuals now face charges.

Franklin THERBY, 38-years-old, of Saugeen Shores, was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine, CDSA 4(1)
  • Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)
  • Possess unmarked cigarettes, TTA 29(2)

Sheena GALLAGHER, 42-years-old, of Saugeen Shores, was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine, CDSA 4(1)

Neville ALEXANDER, 57-years-old, of Saugeen Shores, was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine, CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – cocaine, CDSA 4(1)

Christopher PEPE – Break & Enter

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On January 27, 2025, at approximately 7:03 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break & enter to a business property along Highway 6-10, Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Police attended and found that scrap copper was stolen from the business. The accused was identified by surveillance camera footage and arrested shortly thereafter.

Christopher PEPE, 44-years-old of no fixed address, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Break & Enter, CC 348(1)(b)
  • Theft under $5000, CC 334(b)
  • Mischief under $5000, CC 430(4)
  • Fail to comply with undertaking, CC 145(4)(a)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released; to reappear at the Owen Sound Court of Justice on February 13, 2025.

Wayne Driver – Arson, Assault, Threats, Etc.

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – One individual is facing charges after a structure fire at a residence on Berford Street in Georgian Bluffs.

On August 24, 2024, at 6:12 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and the South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at a residence on Berford Street in Georgian Bluffs.

The residents of the home woke up to the fire alarm going off in the residence and noticed smoke from the basement. The fire was extinguished by the South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department. The Intertownship Fire Department also assisted with the investigation.

The investigation revealed earlier in the day at 6:00 a.m., the accused was observed on Bruce Street in South Bruce Peninsula near a motor vehicle with incendiary material.

As a result, Wayne Driver a 65-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula was charged with:

  • Uttering threats – cause death of bodily harm
  • Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Arson – disregard for human life (two counts)
  • Possession incendiary material (two counts)
  • Mischief under $5000 (two counts)
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.

Olga Antonov – Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – One person is facing charges after the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for service that a vehicle struck a residence. 

On July 17, 2024, at 11:48 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP received a call that a vehicle drove into a residence on Sir Johns Crescent in Georgian Bluffs. The Grey Bruce OPP learned that the homeowners were sitting in the room that the vehicle crashed into at the time of the collision. The homeowners received no injuries. As the police officer was speaking to the driver, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. 

As a result, Olga Antonova, 48-years-old from Toronto was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused was transported to hospital as a precaution and released.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Owen Sound on August 8, 2024.

One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the collision.

Highway 21 was closed between Grey Road 18 (Springmount) and Grey Road 3 in Georgian Bluffs for the investigation but has since reopened.

Kevin Skippen – Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – A local driver is facing an impaired driving charge after the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle which drove into a ditch in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On March 31, 2024, at 5:58 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP received a call of a motor vehicle that drove off the roadway into a ditch on Girl Guide Road in Georgian Bluffs. Officers located the vehicle and while officers were speaking to the driver, the driver was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Grey Bruce OPP Detachment for further tests by a Qualified Breath Technician.

Kevin Skippen, 55-years-old of the Municipality of Georgian Bluffs was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on April 25, 2024.

Fatal Collision Update

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 28, 2024, at 9:00 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 21 between Grey Road 3 and Grey Road 18, Georgian Bluffs. 

Officers responded to the scene with members of the Grey County Paramedic Services and the Intertownship Fire department to find a pick-up truck and sedan involved in the collision.

A passenger, a 67-year-old from Etobicoke was transported to Bright Shores Heath System in Owen Sound where they were pronounced deceased.

Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting the Grey Bruce OPP with the investigation.

The road was closed for several hours but has since re-opened.
