ALERT: Clinton To Be Used As Training Ground #Already51st

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), are partnering with the Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board (HPCDSB) on October 10th to conduct emergency response training at the Central Huron Secondary School and St. Annes Catholic Secondary School in Clinton.

The schools will be closed to students as they have a P.A. Day on October 10th.

Emergency responders will be conducting training exercises pertaining to scenarios involving high risk situations including active attackers. Training is planned to commence at 09:00 a.m. and will continue until approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10th.

Members of the public will notice several emergency response vehicles and personnel in and around the school properties and need not be alarmed.

Clinton Resident Arrested In Fergus – Details Released

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with impaired driving following a proactive traffic stop.

On October 5, 2025, shortly after 12:00 a.m., a member of the Wellington OPP, was conducting proactive patrol near local bars within Fergus and located a suspected impaired individual getting into their vehicle, which prompted a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, a 61-year-old from Clinton, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.

The identity of the accused will not be disclosed out of concern for their wellbeing.

Clinton Pervert Pair Facing Fraud Charges After Exposing Themselves In Lucknow #ItWasCold #OPP #PervertAlert

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On August 23, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols at an event grounds property in Lucknow during a weekend long music festival. Officers were flagged down by site staff about a confrontation involving attendants.

It is alleged that a pair of individuals deliberately exposed their genitals to a group of campers who were unknown to them, that were simply trying to enjoy the event. The two individuals were escorted from the venue and had their wristbands removed. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the wristbands used to gain entry into the event were fraudulent.

Ryan MARRIAGE, 25-years-old, and Spencer CANTELON, 24-years-old, residents of Clinton, both face charges of:

  • Indecent act – CC 173(1)(a)
  • Fraud under $5,000 – CC 380(1)(b)

The accused are set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on October 29, 2025, to answer to the charges.

$10,500 in Meth Seized at Huron OPP Detachment

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place at the Huron County OPP detachment parking lot on Albert Street in the Municipality of Central Huron, (Clinton) on Tuesday September 2nd, 2025.   

Just after 11:00 a.m., police observed an individual outside the OPP detachment building. Police spoke to the individual only to discover they were actively using an illegal drug. The suspect was arrested and subsequently searched. Officers located a quantity of suspected methamphetamine on the suspect’s person. The total value of the illegal drugs is estimated at $10,500.

Nicholas HALLEY, 36-years-of-age of no fixed address has been charged with:

–      Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 6th, 2025.

Goderich Drunk Driver Arrested – Johannes VANEEKEN

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic complaint in the Town of Goderich reported to police on August 17th, 2025. 

Just after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a complaint from a concerned citizen that a driver may be driving impaired in the Town of Goderich. The driver was located shortly after by police and arrested for impaired operation.

The driver was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over three times the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Johannes VANEEKEN, 50 years-of-age from Goderich has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Lee BALE Arrested For Impaired Driving In South Huron

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London Ontario resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic stop in the Municipality of South Huron, on August 18th, 2025. 

Just after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on London Road in South Huron after an alert was made by the automated licence plate recognition (ALPR) system in the police vehicle. Police spoke to the driver who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.

The driver was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Lee BALE, 58 years-of-age from London has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
