(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On December 24, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m. an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment initiated a traffic stop on Highway 6, near Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, Wayne A. Hamilton, 43 years-old of Guelph, was charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on January 7, 2025.

During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Christopher J. SUDAK, of Guelph, was charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
• Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code
• Operation While Prohibited contrary to the Criminal Code
• Possess Licence While Prohibited contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on January 10, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, Lawrence J. LEHNEN, 62 years-old of Pilkington Township, was charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on December 6, 2024.

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On October 19, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Albert Street West, Fergus.

During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Jordan KAMPHUIS, 27 years-old of Fergus, was charged with:

• Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, On October 19, 2024.

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) On September 14, 2024, at approximately 08:45 pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Orangeville Road, within the Town of Fergus.

During the initiative, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Matthew LANGDON, 36-years-old of Guelph, was charged with:

•  Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, at a later date.

(CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On September 12, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Scotland Street, Fergus.

During the operation, a vehicle was stopped, and the driver was assessed for sobriety. As a result of the investigation, Jasmin G. GRIFFIN, 18-years-old of Belwood, was charged with:

– Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code

– Dangerous Operation contrary to the Criminal Code

– Novice Driver – B.A.C. above zero contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

– Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence and Control Act

– Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available contrary to Cannabis Control Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, at a later date.
