75 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested – Details Released

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with criminal driving offences following a two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Central Huron, on August 13, 2025. 

Just after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Bayfield Road and Parr Line in Central Huron. One of the vehicles involved failed to remain at the collision scene and drove southbound. Police eventually located the suspect vehicle, which was damaged and parked inside a garage. The suspect driver was identified by police and arrested.

The occupant of the second vehicle involved in the collision was treated for minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

John HOOGENES, 75 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Dangerous Operation,

–      Failure to Stop After Accident.

The accused was processed, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on September 22nd, 2025.

Prohibited Driver Arrested In Central Huron

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Brampton resident with Prohibited Driving along with other offences following a traffic stop on August 8th, 2025. 

On Friday, August 8th, just before 11:00 p.m., Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle on Huron Road in the Municipality of Central Huron.  

The investigating officer confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody. The accused was additionally charged with three offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

Solomon MAHIAGU, 51 years-of-age from Brampton, has been charged with:

–      Operation while Prohibited.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 15th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

19 Year Old From Central Huron Scammed – Handed Over Bank Cards

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a recent scam that took advantage of a Huron County teenager.

A 19-year-old Central Huron teen received a phone call on August 5th, 2025, from someone stating that they worked at the teen’s banking institution and needed to send someone to pick up her bank cards as they had been compromised. A male individual arrived by car at the victim’s house and took her cards. The victim later discovered that $5,000 had been stolen from the victim’s accounts.

Police are still investigating the fraud and are asking the public to come forward if they have any information that may assist the police.

“This is a good time to remind everyone to never provide your PIN (password) digits to anyone. Banks will never attend your home to pick up debit or credit cards”, says Provincial Constable Craig Soldan of the Huron OPP.

Central Huron Arrest – Details Released

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Barrie resident with impaired driving offences following an incident on July 14th, 2025, in the Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just after 3:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers received a report of a vehicle stopped in a live lane of traffic on Ontario Street in Clinton. Officers observed the driver being unresponsive behind the wheel with the vehicle running and in gear. Officers needed to break the window to place the vehicle in “park” and subsequently arrested the driver for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Ehimwenma OSA-OKUNBOR, 33 years of age from Barrie, has been charged with:

–      Impaired Operation – Alcohol and Drug,

–      Impaired Operation – Over 80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

$16,000 Drug Bust: Central Huron – Dana TEED

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – An investigation conducted by officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property. A criminal charge has been laid against a Central Huron resident.

An investigation initiated in June 2025 by members of the Huron-Perth CSCU led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Central Huron.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted in the Township of Wilmot, Municipality of Waterloo which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and related property. One individual was arrested and charged. On Thursday, July 31, 2025, a search warrant was executed at an address in Central Huron.

A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized. The total value of the illegal drugs seized is estimated at $16,780. Additional offence-related property including a cellular phone seized by police totaled $1,000.

Dana TEED, 31 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Kitchener on September 11, 2025.

Central Huron Break & Enter, Meth A Factor – Michael VOCK Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual from Zorra Township following a break and enter to a Central Huron rural property on June 18th, 2025.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on June 18, 2025, an individual was discovered unlawfully in a barn by a property owner on Bayfield Road in the Municipality of Central Huron. The suspect had arrived on a motorcycle and attempted to flee through a farm field when their motorcycle became stuck in the mud. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the individual who was identified and charged with multiple Criminal and Provincial offences.

The accused has been charged as follows:

Michael VOCK, 47 years of age from Zorra Township has been charged with:

–      Break and Enter,

–      Possession of Break in Instruments,

–      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000,

–      Flight from Peace Officer,

–      Mischief to Property Under $5,000,

–      Altering/Destroying/Removing a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN),

–      Operation while Prohibited – (13 counts),

–      Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.

The accused was additionally charged with eight Provincial Offences found in the Highway Traffic Act, Cannabis Control Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, where they were remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

42 Year Old From Goderich Arrested After Showing Up To Detachment Drunk

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with an Impaired driving offence following an incident on June 9th, 2025, in the Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just after 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9th, 2025, Huron County OPP officers met an individual at the Huron County OPP Detachment office on Albert Street in Clinton for an unrelated matter.

Officers discovered that the individual had been drinking alcohol prior to driving to the OPP detachment, and they were subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Joseph SWITZER, 42 years of age from Goderich, has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 21st, 2025.

43 Year Old From Huron East Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron East resident with several criminal offences following a suspicious vehicle complaint in the Municipality of Central Huron on June 2nd, 2025. 

On Monday, June 2nd, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a call for service on Kinburn Line in Central Huron at 08:40 a.m. Officers located a parked vehicle and spoke to the driver, who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The driver was transported to the Huron County OPP Detachment to conduct testing before a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) trained officer. As a result, the accused was charged as follows:

Shaun JAMIESON, 43 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,

–      Possession of a Controlled Substance – (two counts).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

The accused was processed, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 7th, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Leonard STEEP Was Arrested In Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place in the Municipality of Central Huron on Wednesday April 23rd, 2025.   

Just after 9:00 p.m., on April 23rd, 2025, police were contacted to investigate damage to a vehicle caused by an individual who was still at the scene on Albert Street in Clinton, Central Huron. Police attended and located the individual who was arrested shortly after for the offence of Mischief. During their arrest, the accused resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

Leonard STEEP, 43 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Resist Peace Officer.

31 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested #WaitInTheTruck

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On April 12th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner in 2024 and 2025.

A 31-year-old individual from Central Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal,

–      Mischief – Domestic,

–      Fail to Comply with Undertaking – (two counts).

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Assault In Clinton – One Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On March 16th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to disturbance in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect youth had allegedly committed an assault on another youth.

A 17-year-old youth from Huron-Kinloss has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault,

–      Resist Peace Officer,

–      Obstruct Peace Officer.

The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

39 Year Old From Goderich Arrested Again – Details Released #RepeatOffender

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place at a location on Huron Road in the Municipality of Central Huron on Saturday March 15th, 2025.   

Just before 11:30 a.m. on March 15th, 2025, police were contacted to investigate a disturbance complaint. Police attended and discovered that an individual had been causing a disturbance and departed the location prior to police arrival. The suspect was located and arrested in Central Huron the following day.

Matthew DALE, 39 years-of-age of Goderich has been charged with:

–      Causing a Disturbance,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (two counts).

Break & Enter – Clinton HARRIS Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Stratford resident following an attempted break-in at a Central Huron residence on January 29, 2025. 

Just after 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were contacted by a homeowner who reported a break-in attempt. The suspect description was provided to police.

Officers attended the area and located the suspect nearby, who was arrested and charged as follows:

Clinton HARRIS, 33 years-of-age from Stratford has been charged with:

–      Break and Enter.
