AI Triggers Arrest In Walkerton

(BROCKTON, ON) – On January 15, 2026, at approximately 2:32 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in Walkerton when they stopped to check a vehicle along May Street.

The officer had received an automated licence plate recognition system (ALPR) alert, indicating an issue with the observed licence plate. A traffic stop was initiated where further investigation revealed the plate was not authorized to be used on the vehicle, and the driver was subject to a driving prohibition. The driver was taken into custody and the vehicle was impounded for 90 days.

Curtis WHITTEN, 35-years-old, of West Grey, was charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a)
  • Possession of a schedule II substance, CDSA 4(1)
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle, HTA 12(1)(d)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1) – two counts
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, CAIA 2(1)(a)
  • Possess unmarked cigarettes, TTA 29(2)
  • Care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available, CCA 12(1)

The accused was held for a bail hearing on January 16, 2026, and subsequently released from custody. They are set to reappear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

Jaydon BELLEAU – Impaired Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On January 1, 2025, at approximately 3:29 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped to check a vehicle along Highway 9, Municipality of Brockton.

The vehicle had slid off the travel portion of the roadway, entering a snowbank and nearly striking a road sign. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Erin LANGRIDGE – Drunk Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 30, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint for a vehicle in the area of Bruce Road 19 and Bruce Road 4, Municipality of Brockton.

The complainant had spoken with another motorist and believed that they may be impaired. Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Anthony DILLON Arrested Following Snowmobile Incident

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 29, 2025, at approximately 2:53 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a snowmobile without lights driving in the town of Walkerton.

Officers made patrols, where they located a crashed snowmobile in the area of Bruce Road 19 and Concession 2 NDR; the operator fled on foot. Police contained the surrounding area with the assistance of OPP Canine and the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT). The involved individual was located shortly after 6:00 a.m. and was taken into custody after a brief struggle, which included the accused grabbing the officer’s holstered firearm.

Anthony DILLON, 40-years-old, of Huron-Kinloss, was charged with:

  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Resist peace officer, CC 129(a)
  • Disarming a peace officer, CC 270.1(1)
  • Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a) – two counts
  • Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)

OPP Claim They Were Assaulted In Brockton #FilmThePolice #FTP

(BROCKTON, ON) – On December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:39 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a family dispute along Orange Street, Municipality of Brockton.

Officers attended the scene to discover the subject of the complaint had fled behind the residence. When officers approached the individual, they became assaultive towards police before being taken into custody.

A 34-year-old resident of Brockton was charged with:

  • Assault peace officer, CC 270(1)(a) – three counts
  • Breach of recognizance, CC 811 – three counts

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, to answer to the charges.

More Assaults – Names Withheld #KeepItInTheFamily

(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – On the evening of December 3, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to two separate incidents of intimate partner violence resulting in arrests.

At approximately 9:18 p.m., police responded to a disturbance between intimate partners at a residence in Walkerton, where it is alleged that an assault occurred.

A 62-year-old resident of Brockton was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
  • Mischief, CC 430(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

At approximately 10:36 p.m., police responded to another altercation between intimate partners in Arran-Elderslie, where it is alleged that an assault occurred.

A 50-year-old resident of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:

  • Assault, CC 266 – three counts
  • Uttering threats, CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice and subsequently released from custody. They are set to reappear at a later date.

33 Year Old From Walkerton Arrested – Detials Released

(BROCKTON, ON) – On November 27, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fail to remain collision in the area of South Street and Yonge Street, Municipality of Brockton.

At approximately 9:21 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted police after observing a pick-up truck strike a stop sign in Walkerton before fleeing the area. A description of the vehicle was provided, and the investigating officer was able to locate a vehicle matching the description shortly thereafter. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected signs of alcohol consumption. A lawful demand was made for the driver to provide a sample of their breath, which was refused. The driver was placed under arrest.

Daniel PHARANT, 33-years-old, resident of Walkerton was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)
  • Fail to remain, HTA 200(1)
  • Fail to report accident, HTA 199(1)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on December 17, 2025, to answer to the charges. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days, the drivers licence of the accused was suspended for 90 days.

Pedestrian Struck In Brockton Hit & Run

(BROCKTON, ON) – On November 14, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian along Durham Street East in the Municipality of Brockton.

The collision occurred on November 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., where a pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk of Durham Street East and Elm Street by a black sports utility vehicle (SUV), which then fled the scene, turning onto Old Durham Road.

The driver is described as a white female, late 20’s or early 30’s, small build, brown hair, with a young child in the back seat of the vehicle.

(BROCKTON, ON) – On October 31, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple calls for an individual causing disruption in the downtown core of Walkerton.

Investigation revealed that a male had been causing issues in front of numerous businesses, threatening and attempting physical confrontations with members of the public. They were subsequently located by police and taken into custody.

Donald WEBER, 59-years-old, of no fixed address was charged with:

  • Uttering threats, CC 264.1(1)(a) – two counts
  • Causing a disturbance, CC 175(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1) – two counts

OLSON & OLSON Arrested At RIDE

(BROCKTON, ON) – On November 11, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program at Bruce Road 1 and Bruce Road 15 in the Municipality of Brockton.

At approximately 10:38 p.m., a vehicle entered the area and the driver was spoken to by police. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment and took the driver into custody. The passenger was found to be in possession of a suspected illicit drug and was also taken into custody.

Andrew OLSON, 28-years-old, resident of Cargill, was charged with:

Pete OLSON, 28-years-old, resident of Cargill, was charged with:

MCGRAIL Arrested For Drunk Driving

(BROCKTON, ON) – On October 26, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic hazard along Sideroad 30 N, south of Chesley.

Police were contacted by a concerned member of the public who discovered a recently damaged vehicle stopped in a live lane, with the driver slouched over behind the wheel. Collision Near Brockton – Michael STEELE Arrested

(BROCKTON, ON) – On October 24, 2025, at approximately 8:11 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision along Highway 9, Municipality of Brockton.

25-Year-Old From Walkerton Arrested After Alleyway Emergence

(BROCKTON, ON) – An All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operator was arrested for impaired driving after being stopped by the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On October 4, 2025, at approximately 6:35 p.m., a member of the South Bruce OPP was parked along Colborne Street South when they observed an ATV emerge from an alleyway and onto the roadway. The officer noticed the rider was not wearing a helmet, did not have a number plate affixed to the ATV, and failed to stop for a stop sign.

A traffic stop was initiated where the officer spoke with the rider and detected signs of impairment. They were placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Sean COMYN, 25-years-old, resident of Walkerton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)
  • No helmet, HTAReg 316 19(1)
  • Off-road vehicle no number plate, ORVA 3(1)

Brockton Bust – 117g Fentanyl Seized In Walkerton #WaitInTheTruck

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 25, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of Brockton.

Investigation determined that a physical altercation took place between two individuals in a wooded area off of South Street in Walkerton. The accused fled on foot but was taken into custody nearby. A search of the individual led to the discovery of approximately 117g of suspected fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with:

  • Assault, CC 266
  • Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
  • Assault cause bodily harm – choking, CC 267(c)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, CDSA 5(2)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

21-Year-Old From Brockton Arrested – Details Released, Not Him #3Strikes #OPP #Crime

(BROCKTON, ON) – On September 24, 2025, at approximately 4:54 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver on Bruce Road 1, south of Paisley.

Police located the vehicle and identified the driver, who then fled from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed. Police continued to receive additional driving complaints about this vehicle throughout the area, driving at high speeds and into oncoming traffic. The vehicle was later located the vehicle at a residence along Bruce Road 1 where an arrest was made.

Brett HAGAN, 21-years-old, resident of Brockton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a)
  • Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
  • Flight from peace officer, CC 320.17 – two counts
  • Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available, LLCA 42(1)(b)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
