Listowel Theft – Do You Know This Suspect

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying one person of interest in connection with a theft that occurred in the Municipality of North Perth.

On October 3, 2025 the Perth County OPP launched an investigation into a theft that occurred overnight between October 2nd and 3rd in the area of Inkerman St W, Listowel.

The person of interest is described as:

  • Male
  • Heavy set build
  • Dark hair
  • Black backpack
  • Boston Bruins sweater

Charges Laid in Multi-Jurisdictional Theft Spree Across Southwestern Ontario

(GREY BRUCE, ON) – Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple charges against a London resident following a multi-jurisdictional investigation into a series of thefts involving boats, seadoos, and trailers across southwestern Ontario.

One of the incidents now resolved as part of this investigation occurred on July 20, 2025, when two watercrafts were stolen from a commercial property in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. Between approximately 6:17 p.m. and 6:24 p.m., a silver SUV and a white pickup truck were observed entering the back lot of a property near Highway 6-21, gaining access through an adjacent lot. The SUV departed with a green 2022 Seadoo GTI personal watercraft, while the pickup truck left with a Zodiac centre console inflatable boat.

Another related occurrence took place on August 1, 2025, when Grey Bruce OPP received a report of a stolen trailer from a property located at a property on Highway 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The theft is believed to have occurred between the evening of July 31 and the morning of August 1. The trailer contained food and catering equipment.

A third incident occurred on July 24, 2025, near Grey Road 12 in Meaford. At approximately 2:11 p.m., a white Buick Enclave and a blue Ford F250 entered a property and removed a 20-foot Smoker Craft Phantom boat equipped with a 175hp Suzuki outboard motor. The boat was stored on a steel tandem trailer at the time of the theft. This occurrence was also linked to the accused during the investigation.

On October 1, 2025, members of the Grey Bruce and Middlesex Community Street Crime Units executed a search warrant at a residence on Sevilla Park Place in London, where an individual was taken into custody.

Michael LINA, 44-years-old, of London, Ontario, has been charged with the following 14 Criminal Code offences:

  1. Break and Enter (Perth County)
  2. Theft of Motor Vehicle (Perth County)
  3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (Perth County)
  4. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (Chatham-Kent)
  5. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (Chatham-Kent)
  6. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (Chatham-Kent)
  7. Theft of Motor Vehicle (Grey Bruce)
  8. Theft of Motor Vehicle (Grey Bruce)
  9. Theft of Motor Vehicle (Grey Bruce)
  10. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (Grey Bruce)
  11. Theft Over $5000 (Perth County)
  12. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (Grey Bruce)
  13. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (London Police Service)
  14. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (London Police Service)

The accused was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound. Their next scheduled bail hearing is set for October 6, 2025.

F.E. Madill Hold & Secure -One Arrested


(NORTH HURON TWP, ON) – 
The Huron Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident that took place on Monday, October 06, 2025.   

On October 06, 2025, just before 9:00 a.m., police were contacted to investigate a threat made by a high school student toward another student.

A “hold and secure” of F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham was activated by school officials while staff and police searched the property for the suspect.

Investigators were able to locate the suspect who was arrested shortly after.

The “hold and secure” has since been lifted, and there is no threat to public safety.

Pamela Wetelainen Was Arrested

On October 3, 2025, at approximately 7:30 pm, members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 East near Dinorwic, in Southworth Township.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired operation by drug. Pamela Wetelainen, 61, of Wabigoon First Nation, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The OPP reminds all motorists that driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol is a serious offence that poses significant risks to everyone on the road. Impairment slows reaction time, affects judgment, and increases the likelihood of collisions. If you suspect someone is driving impaired, call 9-1-1.

Elderly Couple Killed, Teen Airlifted After Hwy 86 Crash

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – A two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth has claimed two lives and sent another individual to a London Hospital. 

Just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 04, 2025, members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services, and Listowel Fire Department responded to a collision on Perth Line 86 in North Perth.

Upon arrival, emergency services located the two vehicles involved, a passenger car and a pickup truck, both heavily damaged. The driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the passenger in that same vehicle was transported to local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased. The driver of the truck was seriously injured and transported by air ambulance to a London Hospital.

The deceased individuals were both from North Perth and were 72 and 75 years-of-age. The 17-year-old driver remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The cause of the collision is being investigated. Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team were at the scene to assist with the collision investigation. Perth Line 86 was closed for the investigation and has since been re-opened.

Arrest In Huron East – Details Released

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bayham, Ontario resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Huron East on September 27th, 2025. 

Just after 9:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 27, 2025, Huron County OPP officers were patrolling on Main Street in Seaforth, when they observed a vehicle being operated without taillights activated. Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The accused was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Andrew MARTENS, 25-years-of-age from Bayham has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 03, 2025.

Assault In Clinton #WaitInTheTruck

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On September 27th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.

A 36-year-old individual from Central Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal – (two counts),

–      Forcible Confinement – (two counts),

–      Mischief,

–      Disobeying Order of Court.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 27th, 2025.

Huron East: $40K in Fentanyl, Meth Seized — 41-Year-Old Charged

(HURON EAST, ON) – An investigation conducted by officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, weapons, and offence-related property. Criminal charges have been laid against a Huron County resident.

An investigation initiated in September 2025 by members of the Huron-Perth CSCU led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Huron East. OPP officers from the Huron-Perth CSCU, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and members from the Huron OPP detachment assisted with the investigation.

On Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, three search warrants were executed in Huron East, which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, guns, cash, and offence-related property.

A quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine was seized. The total value of the illegal drugs seized is over $40,000.

Additional offence-related property including, a weigh scale, packaging, cellular phone, shotgun with ammunition, and imitation firearms seized by police totaled $2,600. Seized Canadian currency totaled $1,195.

Aaron CHEYNE, 41 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl,
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine,
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm – Shotgun,
  • Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited/Altered Firearm with Ammunition,
  • Careless Storage of Firearm.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Huron East Resident Facing Impaired Operation Charge

(BLUEWATER, ON) – On Friday, September 26th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of possible impaired driver at an address on Oxford Street West in the Village of Hensall, Municipality of Bluewater.

Police attended and located an individual showing signs of impairment behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. The suspect was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Tillsonburg OPP detachment to conduct tests before an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).  

The accused was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

Nickolas ELLIOTT, 34 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – blood drug concentration.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 27, 2025.

Double Fatal Crash Near Drayton — Tractor Driver Survives with Minor Injuries

(MAPLETON, ON) – Members of the Wellington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a two-vehicle collision that has resulted in a fatality.   

On Friday, October 2, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Wellington OPP, local fire services, and Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a collision involving a farm tractor and a pick-up truck on Eighth Line in Mapleton.  

Both the occupants of the pick-up truck, a 32-year-old male and a 39-year-old female from Drayton were pronounced deceased on scene and the driver of the farm tractor was transported to hospital with minor injuries. 

Eighth Line remains closed between Sideroad 19 and Sideroad 17 as the investigation remains ongoing with assistance from Traffic Incident Management Enforcement, Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams.

Fatal Crash on Hwy 6 North of Wiarton: 90-Year-Old Lion’s Head Driver Killed

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Grey-Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are on scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 at Mar Sideroad, north of Wiarton.

On October 2, 2025, at 11:31 a.m., the Grey-Bruce OPP, Bruce County Paramedic Services, North & South Bruce Peninsula Fire Departments responded to Highway 6 and Mar Sideroad for a two vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a water truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 90-year-old from Lions Head was pronounced deceased.

Members from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) team and West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team will be attending to assist in the investigation.

Highway 6 is closed between Bruce Road 9 and Howdenvale Road. Additional road closures have been placed at Bruce Road 9 and Mar Sideroad, Highway 6 and Greig Settlement Road, as well as Red Bay Road and Huron Road. Please use Bruce Road 9 as an alternate route through the area.

3 Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Stop: Weapons, Meth & Cash Seized in Guelph-Eramosa

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three individuals following a traffic stop. 

On October 1, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a member of the Wellington County OPP, was conducting proactive patrol when their cruiser’s Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system registered a “hit” on a stolen motor vehicle. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Fourth Line in Guelph Eramosa Township.

As a result of the investigation three individuals were placed under arrest.

Ryan MCKAY, a 44-year-old from Wellington North Township, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000

MCKAY was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph.

Michael PURCELL, a 43-year-old from Cambridge, has been charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Driving while under suspension

PURCELL was released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 7, 2025.

Lastly, Sarah WILBEE, a 39-year-old from Cambridge, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Possession property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000

WILBEE was released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on November 7, 2025.

Fatal Collision: 16 Year Old Dirt Biker Vs Dog

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious collision involving an off-road dirt bike and a family pet in the Municipality of Central Huron, on September 30, 2025. 

Just after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Huron County OPP and Huron County Paramedics responded to a report of a collision on Bandon Line in Central Huron.

Upon arrival, police discovered that a 16-year-old youth had been operating a dirt bike southbound on Bandon Line when a dog ran out onto the roadway. The dirt bike collided with the dog, launching the youth into the ditch. The youth sustained serious injuries and was transported to a London hospital for further care. The dog died as a result of the impact. 

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit attended the scene to assist investigators. Roads were closed in the area for several hours but have since reopened.

No charges have been laid at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
