Dylan DUNDAS Arrested Again – Break & Enter, Theft, Etc.

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A resident of Ripley remains in custody on a pile of property related charges following some events that took place around Dungannon last week.

Just before 7:00 a.m. on November 11, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a person on an ATV that was driving around the Dungannon area in a suspicious manner. Officers responded to the area however the suspect was not immediately located. However, a little while later officers received another call about a suspect that broke into a shed on Dungannon Road that attempted to steal an ATV. The property owners were able to detain the suspect until police arrived. Once officers arrived on scene they located and arrested the suspect. A search incident to arrest resulted in police finding the suspect in possession of suspected methamphetamine, a stolen ATV from Perth County and numerous other stolen items. 

Further investigation revealed the accused had broken into a total of three premises located on Dungannon Road. Upon checking on his identity police also learned he was wanted by South Bruce OPP. 

Dylan DUNDAS, 31 years of age from Ripley has been charged with the following offences:

·        Operation While Prohibited

·        Break & Enter – 3 counts

·        Theft Under $5,000 – 3 counts

·        Theft Over $5,000

·        Mischief – 2 counts

·        Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 – 2 counts

·        Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle

·        Possession of Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order

 The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 19, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

DIEBOLD Caught Going 2X Speed Limit

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a novice class driver with Stunt Driving after he was caught racing through Belgrave earlier this week.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at approximately 10:49 p.m. a Huron OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement in Belgrave when he observed a sport utility vehicle travelling southbound on London Road at a high rate of speed. A RADAR device was utilized and the speed of the vehicle was measured at a rate of speed more than double the 50 km/h speed limit. 

Hayden DIEBOLD, 20 years of age from North Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Perform a Stunt – Speeding by 50 or more km/h. The defendant will now have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on January 4, 2022 to answer to the charge.

89 Year Old Caught Going 130+ in an 80

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged as Kitchener resident with Stunt Driving following a traffic stop conducted this past weekend.

On Saturday, November 13, 2021 at approximately 2:36 p.m. a Huron OPP officer was patrolling westbound on Nile Road near Sharpe’s Creek Line when an eastbound hatchback was observed speeding at a high rate of speed. The officer utilized a RADAR device and measured the speed of the vehicle at a rate of speed in excess of 50 km/h over the 80 km/h zone. 

A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was charged. Paul GEORGIOU, 89 years of age, from Kitchener has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Perform a Stunt – Speeding by 50 or more km/h. The defendant will have to attend Provincial Offence Act Court in Goderich on January 4, 2022 to answer to the charge.

Martha NOBLE Drunk Driving In Goderich

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) credits an anonymous tipster for their latest arrest for Impaired Operation. 

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 Huron County OPP received a call about a possible impaired driver in the Town of Goderich. OPP officers began patrolling for the suspect vehicle and approximately 20 minutes later officers located the suspect vehicle on Victoria Street South. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer had reason to believe the driver had consumed some alcohol thus a roadside screening test was administered. The driver completed the test and registered a Fail. 

The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further testing. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were at/or above the legal limit. 

Martha NOBLE, 62 years of age from Goderich has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) – 80 Plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Drunk Driver In Goderich Drive-thru Arrested

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with Impaired Operation & Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus following a tip that was received about a possible impaired driver in Goderich. 

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 Huron OPP officers responded to Kingston Street in Goderich to patrol for a suspected impaired driver. Officers responded to the area and shortly thereafter patrol officers located the suspect vehicle at a restaurant drive-thru in Goderich.  

Upon speaking with the driver officers noted the driver was displaying several signs of impairment. As a result the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Clinton OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be above the legal limit. 

Marc EISLER, 50 years of age, from Central Huron been charged with Impaired Operation and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. 

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Dale SOUTHARD Facing Numerous Charges

(CHESLEY, ON) – On November 17, 2021, shortly after 5:00 a.m., South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on foot patrol along 4th Street south west in Chesley saw an individual run into an alleyway.

They were arrested without incident after a brief foot chase. As a result of the investigation, officers determined that the individual was wanted.

Dale SOUTHARD, 35-years-old, of Huron-Kinloss was charged with:

  • 2 counts of Break and Enter
  • 3 counts of Possessing Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • 3 counts of Possessing Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
  • Theft over $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Unauthorized possess of a weapon
  • Possessing a firearm or ammunition while prohibited
  • 3 counts of Driving while Prohibited
  • 5 counts of Driving while Suspended
  • 3 counts of Use Unauthorized License Plate
  • 2 counts of Use Defaced License Plate
  • Confuse Identity of License Plate
  • 2 counts of Use Defaced Validation
  • 3 counts of Drive with No Insurance
  • Fail to wear Helmet – Off Road Vehicle

The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for November 18, 2021.

Assault & Threats – Derick STOLZ Arrested

(WEST PERTH, ON) – On October 31, 2021 just after 12:30 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of an unwanted person at an address on Perth Road 163 in the Municipality of West Perth.

Police attended the address where an investigation revealed that multiple criminal offences had occurred. 

Derick STOLZ, a 33-year-old resident of West Perth was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault (Two Counts)
  • Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm (Two Counts)
  • Mischief over $5000

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Investigators do not believe there is a risk to public safety.

Drunk Driver Calls Police For Fuel

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On November 6, 2021, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Wellington County Detachment responded to a call from a stranded motorist who ran out of fuel on Side Road 20 near Wellington Road 16 in Centre Wellington Township.

During the investigation, police formed the opinion that the driver had alcohol in their body and subsequently requested that a breath sample to be provided – which they refused to comply with.

As a result, Lindsay PROSSER, 25-years-old of London has been charged with Refusal/Failure to Comply with Demand contrary to the Criminal Code. 

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph at a later date.

Hit & Run – Suspect At Large

(KINCARDINE, ON) – On November 15, 2021 at 11:58 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle collision along Bruce County Road 23 in the Municipality. Officers arrived to find that one of the involved vehicles had left the scene.

A Burgundy Dodge pick-up truck skidding along Bruce County Road 23 collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction causing significant damage. The pick-up truck then entered the ditch before continuing south bound along Bruce County Road 23.

A third vehicle was damaged in the same location. Reacting quickly to avoid a collision with the pick-up, the driver struck a roadway reflector causing minor damage.

The Burgundy pick-up truck is believed to have significant damage to the driver’s side. Investigators are looking to speak with the driver to continue the collision investigation.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.

Dennis ENGLAND Arrested For Theft

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Huron resident with Theft and Mischief after he was caught stealing copper from a business in Centralia.

On Monday, November 8, 2021 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Huron County OPP received a call about a suspect that was at a business located on Canada Avenue stealing copper shavings. Huron OPP arrived within minutes and caught the suspect in the act of stealing copper shavings worth about $800.

The accused was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed the suspect had attended the day before and damaged property at the business as well he stole some scrap metal. 

Dennis ENGLAND, 42 years of age from South Huron has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 and two counts of Mischief Under $5,000. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 20, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

More Sexual Assault Victims Come Forward – Jeffrey YOUNG Charged

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On Wednesday November 10, 2021, the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Major Crime Unit continued their investigation into reports of sexual assault after four more victims have come forward.

Further investigation has resulted in additional charges against Jeffrey YOUNG 59-year-old from Lakeshore, ON.

The additional charges under the Criminal Code are: 

·        Sexual Assault (6 counts)

On October 21, 2021 members of the Essex County OPP Major Crime Unit investigated a report of sexual assault and as a result the accused was charged with Sexual Assault (3 counts) and Mischief under $5000 (1 count).

The investigation has determined the accused practiced at local massage businesses.

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on November 26, 2021.

Break & Enter – Dean BULLEN Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with Break & Enter and Possession of Break-in Instruments following an incident that took place over the weekend.

During the early morning hours of Saturday, November 6, 2021 Huron County OPP officers were conducting pro-active foot patrols of the former Bluewater Centre Correctional facility when they found an intruder on the property. 

Officers arrested the individual and a search incident to arrest was conducted.  The search revealed the accused to be in possession of tools used to commit break-ins. 

As a result, Dean BULLEN, 56 years of age, from Bluewater has been charged with Break, Enter a Place to Commit an Indictable Offence and Possession of Break-in Instruments.

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 6, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

21 Year Old From Howick Arrested – Name Released

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Howick resident with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus after a roadside test was failed early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. 10Nov a sedan entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint that was set up in Clinton on Bayfield Road. While speaking with the driver officers observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. This prompted the officers to conduct a roadside screening test which was failed by the driver.   

The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of breath to the qualified Intoxilizer Technician; both samples were measured above the legal limit. 

Noodin MAWHINNEY, 21 years of age from Howick has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 10, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Fatal Collision – Deceased Identified

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers and members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team continue to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place this morning north of Dashwood.

At approximately 11:53 a.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and the Dashwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision located on Bronson Line between Pepper Road and MacDonald Road.

Upon arrival first responders located a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. 

The deceased has since been identified as Matthew GEORGE, 52 years of age from Bluewater. 

The 35-year-old driver of the sport utility vehicle remains in hospital with undetermined injuries.

Bronson Line remains closed between Zurich-Hensall Road (Huron County #84) and Dashwood Road (Huron County #83).

Assault With Weapon In Goderich – Mike DAVIES Arrested

(GODERICH, ON) – A resident of Goderich remains in custody on several charges following an incident that took place in Goderich this past weekend. 

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a business located on Victoria Street South after learning an individual had displayed a knife and threatened harm against three youth outside of the business. The youth were able to flee and escape injury however when a witness intervened the accused used the knife to cause damage to the witness’s vehicle. 

The suspect fled the scene however later that night patrol officers located and arrested the suspect within the Town of Goderich. 

Mike DAVIES, 53 years of age from Goderich is facing the following charges:

·        Assault with a Weapon – 4 counts

·        Uttering Threats to Cause Death – 3 counts

·        Mischief Under $5,000

·        Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

·        Carrying a Concealed Weapon

The accused remains in custody with court appearance scheduled for November 10, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
