Defection(s) At Wingham Town Hall – Bristol Terrace Lives Matter Again

At last night’s council meeting Wingham Ward Representative Mitch Wright stood up for the Citizens on Bristol Terrace and finally spoke out about the safety hazard town staff create at the intersection of Josephine St. & Bristol Terrace.

One of Wingham’s greatest shames has been how Town Hall and staff disrespect those living on Bristol Terrace by refusing to clear the snow off both pedestrian paths on Hanna Bridge. This illegal activity has endangered the lives of every pedestrian that attempted to go downtown in the winter. This is a well known safety issue that past councils have refused to address. Even our disgraced former Reeve/Mayor bernie bailey could view the hazard from his window, and he steadfastly refused to make the illegal activity stop or clear the bridge.

Police Confession Triggers Standoff Downtown Wingham #FilmThePolice

(Wingham, Ontario – North Huron service area) The yellow tape is up, and camera(s) are pointed at the crime scene 24 hours a day. If this was North Korea the offender would be imprisoned, severely beaten, then released virtually brain dead. That’s what happened when a US student removed a poster in North Korea.

The OPP have admitted they are responsible for removing a council meeting notice from a pole in Wingham, just outside of Buck & Jo’s. This attack on Free Speech has triggered a way of discontent that seems to be escalating by the hour. Below is the response from the OPP regarding the theft/seizure of a council meeting notice outside of Buck & Jo’s in Wingham. Yellow tape cordons off a section their dining room for camera(s) to be trained on the the crime scene.

NOTE: As of 02Dec 7:45am the OPP have NOT returned the stolen/seized property. Below are the emails sent/received.

========

Soldan, Craig (OPP) <[email protected]

Good afternoon:

My name is Craig Soldan. I am the Media Relations and Community Safety Officer with the Huron OPP detachment. I have been asked to respond to your e-mail regarding the OPP removing a flyer that was posted in Wingham.

Just after 4:00 p.m. November 27th, the OPP received a complaint of mischief involving the flyers. An officer attended, viewed several of these flyers/posters titled “Wanted Dead or Alive” and carefully removed one of them to properly make a photocopy of it to be scanned into our records management system as part of the investigation. The officer has not destroyed the original document and has it here in Clinton at the OPP detachment. Huron OPP have determined there are no grounds to proceed with charges relating to this poster.

Does this address your concern(s)?

Sincerely,

Craig Soldan.

======

Thank you for your response, but it raises some deep concerns and questions.

The stolen/seized council meeting notice needs to be returned ASAP, as it is regarding a time sensitive issue. It would be appropriate if it was a uniformed officer that reposted it. There is plenty of parking on Josephine St. and there is no need for the officer to park illegally again, or do a u-turn downtown.  This would go a long way to repairing some of the damage the officer’s actions and inaction have caused. If the police insist they are above the law and are unaccountable, I am most confident the Public will react negatively.

While the OPP may view this as simply taking a piece of paper, I can assure you others view it as a horrendous attack on Free Speech and/or a Free Press. Both strongly protected Rights in our Canadian Bill of Rights and Charter of Rights. I believe all OPP swore an oath to defend and protect our Rights, and you literally get paid to do so.

  1. Why wasn’t a photo taken instead of confiscating the council meeting notice?
  2. If you needed a “hard copy” for your archives, why not take a photo and print it?
  3. Why was it necessary for the officer to do a u-turn and park illegally in order to check out the council meeting notice? All evidence and witness testimony lean toward the officer over-reacting, something we don’t want armed officers doing.
  4. What authority did the officer use to seize this council meeting notice, was there a court order or a warrant?
  5. After the officer realized what they had done, why wasn’t the council meeting notice immediately returned?
  6. Why did your officers not spot these notices this week during the foot patrols the OPP claim to be doing in Wingham?
  7. Why is the notice logged into your system?
  8. Do all notices/flyers need to be approved by the OPP censors in Clinton and logged into your system.
  9. How are notices supposed to be submitted/approved by the OPP, email, snail mail, in person, etc.?
  10. Is the officer not guilty of theft, or at least mischief? If a member of the public did something similar they could face up to 2 years imprisonment, and would be out thousands and thousands of dollars.

Looking forward to the immediate return of the illegally removed council meeting notice entitled “Resignations Wanted”. The council meeting is on Monday, so please return it with the same haste as it was removed. Apparently your response time to take down notices is only a few minutes, quite impressive…..sorry, I clearly meant oppressive.

OPP Put On Notice After Attack On Free Speech – Wingham Strikes Back #FilmThePolice

Earlier this week in Wingham, an OPP officer was caught taking down a poster promoting participation at the next council meeting (04Dec2023).

While only one poster removal was caught on video, several more went missing around the exact same time. In response to this new posters have been put up, along with a warning to the OPP.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend the 04Dec council meeting, even though the OPP clearly don’t want you too.

Confirmed: 2 North Huron Councilors Giving Back Money To Save Rec Center – Resignations TBD

(Wingham, On) At the last meeting of the King’s Corporation of North Huron, Councilor Kevin Falconer agreed to give back all the money he had taken from the taxpayers. Sources have indicated that another councilor will be returning all the money they have taken from the taxpayers. The return of this money from just these two councilors would allow the recreation center to reverse their massive increases.

Plans to hand over the money via large novelty check for were quickly kyboshed after someone pointed how fiscally irresponsible it would be to waste money on a photo opportunity.

Please take the time to contact council to confirm which councilors are giving back all the money they have taken, and the rate hikes at the complex will be reversed. It is expected that resignations will be determined/announced.

The next council meeting is 04Dec2023 at Wingham Town Hall Heritage Theatre. Arrive early, or call Town Hall at 519-357-3550 to reserve a seat, ask for sunshine list member CAO Dwayne Evans.

Sudden Death At Wingham Town Hall – Police Investigation Imminent – Seniors Take A Stand #ENOUGH! #LOUDER

Never again let our Seniors stand alone.

The Community is still in shock over Monday night’s council meeting, where a record crowd of 150-200 formed to confront the Corporation of North Huron over massive fee increases. While the death was sudden, it was expected and long overdue. Fear is dead!

Little old ladies had the courage to go to the microphone and confront council. Only a few in the crowd had the courage to speak up for what they know to be Right, and stood with those courageous dear sweet old ladies.

Notably missing from the crowd were representatives of some of the service clubs and churches in the area. Hopefully their absence is attributed to their unawareness of the meeting, and not apathy.

Never again let a moment of fear stop you from doing what you know to be Right.

More Citizens are now demanding a police investigation into the North Huron’s divestment of properties at a fraction of market value.

You can watch clips of the Public’s comments below. Do you have the courage to stand and defend our Community?

The next council meeting is 04Dec2023 at Wingham Town Hall. Clearly the People were not heard by council, this time everyone needs to be louder, bring a friend and demand change.

Massive Increases Passed And To Be Phased In Over Next 12+ Months

Massive increases were rammed through council last night by illegally doing 3 readings at once, and passing it. The basic safe guard of 3 readings over 3 meetings to allow the public and their Representatives to be informed and offer input is never followed anymore, allowing council to do whatever they want.

These massive crippling increases will be phased in over the next year or so, with 70% of the increase in the first year, and the rest of the increase the following year.

There was mass confusion at the meeting, and most councilors clearly had no idea what they were voting for. Please watch the meeting in its entirety, and/or call your Representative on council and ask them what the new fees are at the Rec Complex. The odds are you will get a different answer from each of them.

Councilor To Give Back  $50,000-$100,000 After Confronted By Furious Public – Other Councilors Expected To Follow Suit

One by one, Hero after Hero, Winghamites rose up to confront council last night in a no holds barred event that had Freedom Fighters stepping up to the microphone and standing up for their Community. “Tar and feather them!”, “You’re all crooks”, “Do your job”, “Respect is a 2 way street” & “boycott the North Huron” were just a few of the milder comments thrown at council.

Kevin Falconer vowed to give back all the money he has taken/received from his victims/taxpayers. When the crowd yelled out “You all make too much money” current Blyth Ward Councilor Kevin Falconer responded, “I’ll give it back”. This first step to reconciliation should see Falconer return between $50,000 – $100,000 to the public.

Click on the video below to see for yourself that Councilor Falconer clearly states he will be giving back all the money he took from the taxpayers/victims. The video should start at the correct point, just in case you don’t have 2 hours to see the entire historic meeting.

Wingham To “Hold The Line” At Council Meeting #SaveTheRecComplex

Hundreds of people have vowed to attend the council meeting on Monday 20Nov to defend what little is left of Wingham, the Recreation Complex where they want to quadruple some fees. Sources have indicated this is just another step to cripple, shut down, then sell off the complex for pennies on the dollar in another backroom deal to themselves or a family member/insider. (re. ESTC, Wingham Trailer Park & Wingham Airport, etc. etc.)

Blyth and East-Wawanosh councilors continue to destroy Wingham and refuse to allow Winghamites to defend their Community, even going so low as to banning questions so council & staff can do whatever they want, and you can’t say or do a thing about it … or can you?

We have taken back the Cenotaph. Town staff will no longer illegally dump snow on the steps or sidewalks and will replace the flag the moment it becomes tattered because people like you had the courage to contact town hall and demand change and respect.

Will you stay home Monday 20Nov too afraid or apathetic to participate, or will you stand with those defending our Community?

Wear black, democracy is dead, show some respect.

Packed House Expected At Next Council Meeting – Arrive Early

Virtually everyone is pledging to attend Monday’s council meeting after news that 400% fee increases will be passed unless the public shows up and confronts council. Most people already can’t afford to use the recreation complex, and quadrupling the fees will eliminate virtually the only thing left to do in Wingham.

All residents are required to attend the meeting on 20Nov2023 if they want to stop 400% increases in fees.

Tempers Flare As Winghamites & Councilors Blindsided By Staff & Blyth  Tripling Fees At Complex – Families & Seniors Effectively Barred

Tempers flared at the last council meeting when Blyth Representative Kevin Fascist Falconer once again lost composure when confronted. This time Falconer did not turn violent, he just got verbally aggressive like a toddler, which is actually a step up from when he violently attacked a citizen at a council meeting when they were stealing the trailer park.

A senior couple that wants to use the complex will no longer be able to, unless they come up with an extra $2,000/year to cover the increase from $888 to $2,700 +HST.

Families will see a jump from $1,296 to $4,500/year.

NOTE: If your family had a $500,000 home in Wingham, wanted to use the complex, put out 2 bags of garbage, and used virtually no water, you would have to pay the Corporation of North Huron $15,796/year just to live here.

Taxes on $500,000 home: $10,026/year
Water & Sewer: $1,140/year
2 bag tags/week: $130/year
Rec Complex Fees: $4,500/year
$15,796/year – $1,316/month – $303/week

The next council meeting is 20Nov2023. All ratepayers/victims are being asked to attend by Wingham Councilors that are attempting to defend Wingham and the People they are paid to Represent.

Council Caught On Video Shaking Down Developer For Illegal Fees #StandYourGround

The Corporation of North Huron was caught on video refusing to follow their own by-laws at the last council meeting. Council is refusing to allow a developer to create affordable rental units in the former bowling alley in Wingham, and is demanding fees and more meetings to resolve the issue.

You must watch the video below to see these heroes standing their ground against one the most corrupt by-law departments in Ontario.

Council Solves Visible Homeless Problem On Josephine St With Anti-Homeless Benches #DefundBIA

Wingham town hall is deploying another solution to tackle the visible homeless problem on Josephine St. Their first effort was to order all businesses to post no-trespassing signs and to sign over authority to the police to arrest anyone at any time at their business.  Businesses stood together and rejected the preposterous notion of posting no-trespassing signs on their front doors. This is the level of dipshittery that oozes out of Wingham town hall.

The benches on Josephine St. are completely neglected, and they are unusable during the winter months because town staff refuse to clear the snow off and around them. The current benches only need a few minutes with some linseed oil and elbow grease to make them look like new again.

Despite there being zero need for new benches, town hall is forcing taxpayers to pay $20,000 for new benches that homeless people can’t sleep on. Visible homeless problem solved and $20,000 down the drain!

Why spend $40 on some linseed oil when you can blow $20,000 for no reason and screw over the vulnerable at the same time. A message to the vulnerable that they aren’t worth our compassion, and town hall will spend any amount of money to make them disappear….well, as long as none of that money makes it to the homeless and vulnerable.

The notice about these benches was emailed out by Hall Of Shamer doug kuyvenhoven of the town hall’s BIA department.
