London Road Closed Due To Serious Collision

(CENTRALIA, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene with a serious two motor-vehicle collision, closing the intersection of London Road and Whalen Line within Centralia.

On September 20, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Huron County OPP were dispatched to the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road, Centralia, involving a serious two motor-vehicle collision, involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger van.

As a result of the collision involving the passenger van, one occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team is assisting the Huron County OPP with the investigation.

As a result of the collision, the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road within Centralia is closed.

The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided when available.

Investigators are asking the public to please stay clear of the area, to allow first responders the opportunity to fully attend to the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has information, such as dashcam footage, that could assist with this ongoing investigation is asked to contact the Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Repeat Offenders Arrested Again – Stolen Property Recovered #3Strikes

(BANCROFT, ON) – Three people face multiple charges in connection to stolen property.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, shortly after 11:00 a.m., two people were arrested near Gilmour, Ontario in relation to warrants from several different jurisdictions. Members of Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE), Emergency Response Team, East Region Community Street Crime Unit, and Bancroft Detachment assisted with the arrests. Upon further investigation a stolen ATV and SUV were located, and a third person was arrested.

Robin BLUNDELL, age 40, of Yarker has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Lisa SWEET, age 52, of Addington Highlands has been charged with the following offences:

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Mathew FRENCH, age 34, of Kingston has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order – two counts

SWEET and FRENCH remain in custody. BLUNDELL was released following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft at a later date.

Body of 22 Year Old Recovered – Dawson LOWES Arrested

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS, ON) – Members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges on a boater after a passenger fell overboard early yesterday morning and did not resurface.

At approximately 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, OPP received a call that an individual had fallen into the water at Weslemkoon Lake in the Township of Addington Highlands.

A coordinated response was launched involving units from the OPP’s L&A County and Bancroft Detachments, Marine Unit, Aviation Services, Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, as well as the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

Later that day, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the body of a deceased 22-year-old male from Toronto was recovered.

As a result of the investigation, Dawson LOWES, a 21-year-old male also from Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Operation causing death
  • Dangerous operation causing death
  • Operating while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.

Fentanyl Bust – Amy RAHM

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS TWP., ON) – One person is facing drug trafficking charges after the seizure of dangerous, illegal drugs in Addington Highlands Township.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation earlier this month.

On Friday, June 13, 2025, members of the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and officers from the Lennox and Addington County OPP, executed a search warrant at a residence on Flinton Road.

Officers seized nearly 23-grams of suspected fentanyl, over 42-grams of suspected methamphetamine and over three grams of suspected cocaine. Officers also seized a replica handgun, an expandable baton and items typically associated with drug trafficking. One person was arrested without incident.

Amy RAHM, age 37 of Addington Highlands Township, been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
  • Possession of a weapons for a dangerous purpose

The accused was held in custody with a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Andrei-Razvan TULEA – Theft

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of theLennox and Addington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person following a traffic stop on Highway 7.

On Friday April 11, 2025, shortly before 4:00 p.m., police were advised of a report of shoplifting from a drug store in Renfrew. Police were watching for the suspect-vehicle and located it on Highway 7. Officers spotted the stolen items in the car and the driver was arrested.

 Andrei-Razvan TULEA, a 29-year-old, from Toronto, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Theft under $5000 – shoplifting

Police recovered over $30,000 in stolen property from the vehicle.

The accused was held in custody following a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee.

Matthew FRENCH Was Arrested Again

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit has recovered multiple stolen vehicles in Addington Highlands.

Members of the Lennox and Addington County OPP called in the street crime unit when it was learned that suspected stolen items were being stored on a person’s property in the Flinton area.

A search of the location on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, by Street Crime Unit members and officers from the L&A County and Central Hastings Detachments, resulted in the recovery of a stolen 2009 Volkswagen Golf and two stolen snowmobiles. An individual was found hiding in the residence and arrested without incident. A second person was escorted off the property and warned that returning would be considered trespassing.

Matthew FRENCH, age 33 of Addington Highlands, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000 – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime-under $5000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 13, 2024.

The owner of the residence had no connection to the stolen vehicles.

Catherine HENNING – Impaired Driving, Cocaine, Etc.

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On September 8, 2024, just before 12:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint on County Road 41 in Addington Highlands. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result, Catherine HENNING, age 63, of Oshawa was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Have care or control of vehicle with cannabis in open baggage
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Possess unmarked cigarettes

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 1, 2024.

Keyes WILLIAMSON – Drunk Driving

(ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On August 24, 2024, just after 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Highway 7 eastbound in Addington Highlands. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result, Keyes WILLIAMSON, age 27, of Ameliasburg was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on September 10, 2024.
