Scott Robinson – Drunk Driving

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. 

On December 4, 2025 ay 5:35p.m. Huntsville O.P.P. officer responded to a report of a  vehicle stopped in a live lane of traffic on Highway 35 in Lake of Bays Township.

Police arrived on scene to find a male in the drivers seat of his vehicle. The male was determined to be impaired and subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Scott Robinson, 57 years old of Markham Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused was released and is to appear in January 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, ON.

The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Fentanyl Bust – Tanya BURRY Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person following a traffic complaint.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, just after 5:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers received a traffic complaint from a member of the public. A short time later officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired operation and was searched, which officers located over 6g of suspected fentanyl. The accused was then transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment for further testing and refused to participate in testing with a Drug Recognition Expert.

Tanya BURRY, a 35-year-old resident of Peterborough, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – drugs
  • Refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation
  • Possession of a schedule I substance

The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on January 6, 2026.

Samuel POELMANS – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – A driver is facing criminal charges following a traffic stop in Haldimand County.

On December 6, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m., while on general patrol on Highway 6, near Hagersville, a vehicle brought attention to a member of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was subsequently taken into custody.

Samuel POELMANS, 21-years-old of Hamilton has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cayuga on January 27, 2026.

Nicholas COLEMAN – Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On December 6, 2025, shortly after 5:30 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 89 westbound, west of County Road 10. Both vehicles were blocking the right lane of traffic and that one driver was observed unconscious behind the wheel.

Officers arrived on scene and confirmed there were no injuries. During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment from one driver.

As a result of the investigation, Nicholas COLEMAN, 24-years-old of New Tecumseth, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on January 8, 2026, to answer to the charges.

Palmerston Resident Fails To Stop For School Bus – Details Released

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – One person has been charged after failing to stop for a school bus and colliding with a stop sign in the Municipality of North Perth.

On December 4, 2025 at approximately 3:00 p.m. The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for a school bus in the Town of Atwood. That vehicle then proceeded onto a side road where they collided with a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle and his four passengers did not sustain any injuries. During the investigation police located several containers of open alcohol in the vehicle.

The driver, a 17-year-old male resident of Palmerston was charged with the following offences under the Highway Traffic Act:

  • Fail to Stop for School Bus
  • Careless Driving
  • Fail to Surrender Licence

Additionally, the accused was charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act with:

  • Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor

The accused was issued Provincial Offence Notices in relation to the charges and released from the scene with $1,305 worth in fines. The accused will have fifteen days to decide if he will pay the fines, contest the charges in provincial court or meet with the prosecutor to discuss early resolution.

The Perth County OPP wants to remind everyone that drivers are required to stop when meeting a school bus that has its red signal lights flashing, and that the owner or driver of any vehicle that fails to do so may be charged.

Domenic CORSINI – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – A driver was arrested at a RIDE check in Haldimand County.

On December 5, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check on King Street East, Hagersville.

A vehicle entered the spot check, and the driver was spoken to by one of the officers.

Domenic CORSINI, 30-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offence:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on January 20, 2026.

Liam MCCUE – Drunk Driving

(HARLEY TOWNSHIP) – A driver is facing impaired driving charges after police responded to a vehicle in the ditch.

On November 28, 2025, at approximately 2:10 a.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 near Development Road in Harley Township.

Upon arrival, officer located the vehicle and driver in the ditch. During the interaction, officers detected an odour of alcoholic beverage. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Temiskaming OPP Detachment for further testing.

The accused, Liam MCCUE, 24 years old, of Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Quebec, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under the Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program.

The accused was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on January 13, 2026.

Dwayne GALLANT – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – An individual was taken into custody following a traffic complaint on Ojibway Road, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver.

The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was initiated.

Dwayne GALLANT, 48-years-old of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, has been charged with the following offence:

  • Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on January 13, 2026.

Police Cruiser Damaged In Goderich Incident – Trevor STRUTH Arrested Again #3Strikes

(GODERICH, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Town of Goderich on November 15, 2025.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, just before 2:00 p.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who was reportedly causing a disturbance at a retail business property on Huron Road in Goderich. Police located the suspect, who proceeded to hit a police cruiser with a hockey stick, then flee on a bicycle. The accused was later located, arrested, and charged as follows:

Trevor STRUTH, 48 years-of-age of no fixed address was charged with:

–      Causing a Disturbance,

–      Assault a Peace Officer,

–      Fail to Comply with Probation – (three counts).

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody. The accused has a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on December 15, 2025.

T. Keith POWERS – Fraud & Firearm Charges

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch (ARB) has charged one individual following an extensive investigation into suspected irregularities in archaeological reports.

In February 2024, members of the OPP ARB initiated an investigation after receiving information of suspected fraud related to archeological surveys submitted to the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism.

As a result of the investigation, on Monday, November 24, 2025, T. Keith POWERS, 60 years of age of Aurora, was charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Mount Forest Incident – Ashley HOTCHKISS Arrested

(WELLINGOTN NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – An incident in Mount Forest has led to drug possession charges for an Arthur resident.

On December 6, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an incident at an address in Mount Forest where they found an individual to be in possession of methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigation, Ashley HOTCHKISS, a 38-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on January 6, 2026.

One Airlifted After School Bus Collision

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On December 8, 2025, at approximately 8:23 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 10 at Sideroad 70, Township of Chatsworth.

Police attended the scene and discovered a collision involving a school bus and a pickup truck. Two students on board of the school bus were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the pickup truck has been air lifted to a London area trauma centre.

Highway 10 is closed between Sideroad 60 and Sideroad 80. Sideroad 70 is closed between East Back Line and West Back Line. Closure will be in place while investigators determine the cause of the collision. Updates to follow when available.

Derek BROWN – Drunk Driving, Etc.

(THESSALON, ON) – A person was charged for impaired after being stopped for speeding on Highway 17 near Government Road. 

On December 7, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a west bound blue pickup truck on Highway 17 travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver emanated a strong odour of alcoholic beverage and displayed signs of intoxication. After a roadside test, the driver was subsequently arrested and vehicle towed and impounded. In addition, an open alcohol can was located in the center console of the pickup truck.    

Derek BROWN, 42-years-old, from Hanmer was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol 

• Operation while impaired – blood concentration 80 plus 

• Dangerous operation

• Speeding

• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 8, 2026.

Miguel GAUTHIER – Drunk Driving

(SUDBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after conducting a traffic stop.

On Saturday December 6, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 17, Sudbury.

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing, a search of the vehicle located open liquor.

As a result of the investigation, Miguel GAUTHIER, 40 years-of-age, from Quebec, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 7, 2026, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Samuel Strome – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD, ON) – An individual from Brant County is facing impaired driving related charges after police received a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver.

On December 7, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driving, on Highway 401 near the City of Woodstock, in the Township of South-West Oxford. Officers patrolled and subsequently located the vehicle.

Samuel Strome, 19-years-old, of Brant County, is charged with:

·      Operation While Impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 27, 2026.
