Ashiraf LUKABWE Was Arrested

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired driving and multiple other offences after the vehicle failed to stop for police on two occasions along Highway 11 between Burk’s Falls and North Bay.

On Friday, December 26, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 11 in Burk’s Falls for a Highway Traffic Act offence. The driver did not stop. A second attempt was made in South River, but the vehicle continued northbound. The North Bay OPP successfully stopped the vehicle just south of North Bay on Highway 11.

Officers determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Ashiraf LUKABWE, 27 years of age, of Dufferin, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concertation (80 plus)

·        Flight from peace officer – two counts

·        Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 20, 2026, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

$60,000 Drug Bust – Truong NGUYEN

(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Gatineau resident with impaired driving and drug trafficking following a single-vehicle collision early this morning. 

Shortly after midnight on December 27, 2025, officers responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 417 near March Road. During the traffic stop, officers suspected the driver was impaired by alcohol. A roadside screening device was used, and the driver was taken to the Ottawa Detachment for further testing. 

Further investigation revealed the driver was transporting approximately 7 kg of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, cash, and trafficking-related items. The estimated value of the seizure is $60,000. 

Truong NGUYEN, 43 years of age, faces the following charges: 

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs 
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus) 
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing 
  • Possession over of over 30g dried cannabis in a public place 
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under 5000$ 

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under provincial impaired driving laws, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. Nguyen is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.

Robert John BOUCHARD Was Arrested Again

(THESSALON FIRST NATION, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged driver after vehicle stop.

On December 26, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers were on general patrol, Maple Ridge Road, Thessalon First Nation, when they recognized a vehicle and driver, as they were known to police. The driver had a warrant out for his arrest and was therefore charged accordingly. 

Robert John BOUCHARD, 41 years-old, from Sault Ste. Marie, was charged with:

• Fail to comply with Probation Order

• Driving while suspended

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on February 6, 2026.

20 Year Old From Central Huron Arrested

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with a criminal driving offence following a collision on Huron Road in the Municipality of Central Huron. 

Just before 1:00 p.m. on June 15, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision involving an automobile that left the roadway, colliding with fences and a residence.

The driver was transported to hospital following the collision. Investigating officers obtained a warrant for the driver’s blood sample which was sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences for testing. Results of the driver’s blood revealed a quantity of drugs in their system prior to the collision.

The driver was subsequently charged for impaired operation.

Jonathan ROBSON, 20 years-of-age from Central Huron was charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Blood, Drug Concentration.

The accused has a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 12, 2026.

OPP Now Participating In Home Invasions

(Brant County, ON) – On December 27, 2025, at approximately 6:28 pm, Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence following a report of a health concern for a 39-year-old male homeowner.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact the individual by knocking on the front door multiple times. After no response, communication was established via cell phone. During the conversation, the homeowner directed officers to leave the property.

Shortly after, the complainant advised police that the homeowner had stated no one should return to the residence, as he possessed firearms and was prepared to use them. The individual also indicated he would not speak further with police or come to the door.

Based on this information, Brant County OPP determined the situation had escalated, and the male was considered a barricaded person.

Public safety measures were implemented, Brant County OPP immediately issued a public advisory through social media posts, for all residents in the immediate area to remain indoors for safety reasons. Officers secured the scene and closed area roads to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. OPP specialty emergency response units were deployed to assist.

Negotiation efforts took place for several hours as police made repeated attempts to negotiate with the homeowner and encourage him to surrender peacefully. Despite these efforts, the individual refused to comply. At 5:33 am, OPP TRUE TEAM with a warrant to enter the residence, entered the residence and placed the male homeowner under arrest without incident. Ems personnel attended to the Accused for medical observation. The Accused was held for a Bail Hearing. There is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Kyle FENWICK Arrested in Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Woodstock resident with Prohibited Driving charges following a traffic stop on December 22, 2025. 

On Monday, December 22, just before 3:00 p.m., Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Rattenbury Street in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.  

Officers confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code as well as driving suspensions under the Highway Traffic Act. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Kyle FENWICK, 46 years-of-age from Woodstock has been charged with:

–      Operation while Prohibited – (four counts),

The accused was additionally charged with six offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and one offence found in the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and remanded into custody with a later court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

(GODERICH, ON) – On December 17, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Town of Goderich.

As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed a criminal act against their partner.

A 43-year-old individual from Goderich has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

–      Assault – Spousal.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a later court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Kyle GALLAGHER – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – On December 23, 2025, at approximately 10:29 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of suspicious vehicles at an address along Andrew Street in Teeswater, Municipality of South Bruce.

Police attended and learned that vehicles had travelled up a private laneway, one of which slid off the embankment. Officers spoke with the driver, where they detected signs of alcohol consumption. A roadside screening device was administered, resulting in a fail. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Kyle GALLAGHER, 38-years-old, of Southampton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on February 4, 2026, to answer to the charge.

Kesha WEITZEL Was Arrested

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with several criminal offences following an incident on December 17, 2025, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township. 

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a call involving a vehicle stuck in deep snow on South Street in ACW Twp. When officers arrived, they located two vehicles, one of which contained a crossbow, suspected illegal drugs, and break-in instruments. The driver was located nearby and subsequently arrested.

Kesha WEITZEL, 31 years-of-age of no fixed address has been charged with:

–      Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order,

–      Possession of Break-In Instruments,

–      Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine.

The accused was additionally charged with three offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 02, 2026.

(HURON EAST, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual following a report of gun shots being fired in the direction of snowmobile operators in the Municipality of Huron East. 

Police investigated information that an individual had fired gun shots in the direction of snowmobile operators on December 08, 2025. Huron OPP officers identified the suspect who was subsequently charged on December 23, 2025 with the following offences:

David SCOTT, 60 years-of-age of Huron East has been charged with the following criminal offences:

–      Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device, or Ammunition – (five counts).

Several firearms were seized from the accused as part of the investigation along with their possession acquisition licence (PAL).

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 02, 2026.

Attempted Fraud In Wingham – Christopher GIBBONS-SPEARS Arrested

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fraudulent attempt to obtain a vehicle permit following a report to police on December 18, 2025. 

On December 18, 2025, police were contacted regarding a suspect attempting to fraudulently obtain a vehicle replacement registration for a pickup truck in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron. Police arrived minutes later and arrested the suspect at the scene.

The accused individual was identified and charged as follows:

Christopher GIBBONS-SPEARS, 39 years-of-age from Owen Sound has been criminally charged with:

–      Fraud over $5,000,

–      Use, Deals, Acts on Forged Document.

The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice, Goderich on March 16, 2026.

Jessica-Danielle Amie ROWAN Was Arrested

(THESSALON, ON) – A person was charged after a report of an intoxicated female in vehicle at gas station on Lakeside Drive.

On December 25, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call pertaining to an intoxicated female and her young child in a small black sport utility vehicle. Police attended the location a short after and subsequently arrested the female driver. A family member picked up the young child and the vehicle was towed and impounded.     

Jessica-Danielle Amie ROWAN, 33-years-old, from Sault Ste. Marie was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on February 5, 2026.

Nathan REID – Drunk Driving

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver with impaired driving on Christmas Eve.

On December 24, 2025, at 3:45 p.m. OPP officers with the Traffic Investigation Management (TIME) Team were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Southwood Road. After entering into an impaired driving investigation, police arrested and charged 24-year-old Nathan REID of Barrie, ON with Impaired Operation – Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 20, 2026 to answer to his charge.

Michael CARSON Was Arrested

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – In-car camera alert results in multiple charges for driver.

On December 21, 2025, at 3:40 p.m., a Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member, while on general patrol on Littlewood Drive in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, was alerted by the Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, of possible stolen licence plate on a vehicle.

Police confirmed the licence plates had previously been reported as stolen.

A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest.

As a result, Michael CARSON, a 35-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 26, 2026, to speak to the charges.  

The In Car Camera and ALPR have been operating in Middlesex County OPP vehicles since March 13, 2023. Middlesex OPP officers continue to see drivers operating vehicles that do not have valid, registered licence plates, are currently driving unlicenced, while under suspension or prohibited.

$4 Million Cocaine Bust – Harmeet DHAMOON

(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) – A London resident is facing drug charges following a coordinated joint investigation that has resulted in a multimillion-dollar drug seizure in Lambton County.

On December 23, 2025, just before 1:30 p.m., an Ontario Ministry of Transportation commercial motor vehicle inspection prompted members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit and the Border Enforcement Security Task Force, to attend the MTO scales located off Highway 402 in the Township of Plympton-Wyoming.

Police seized approximately 137 kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,110,000, a quantity of Canadian and U.S. currency and other offence-related items.

Harmeet DHAMOON, 43-years-old of London, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Import Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

The accused has been remanded into custody until December 30, 2025.
