Firearm & Drugs Seized On Kerr Line

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people after receiving a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver.

The call came in on March 21, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Police located a vehicle matching the description on Kerr Line in Horton Township. Officers searched the vehicle and located suspected drugs and a firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Bruce ELLIOT, age 40 of Portage-du-fort, Quebec was charged with:

  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 23, 2025.

Jeff LOGUE, age 39 of Whitewater Region, was charged with:

  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Possession of a schedule I substance
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Police Show Up For Parking Lot Donuts

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving a traffic complaint in the Town of Arnprior.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Renfrew OPP received a report that multiple vehicles were doing donuts in the parking lot of the arena.

Police located one of the vehicles on Daniel Street.

As a result of the investigation, Benjammin Mieko WILSON, age 26 of Ottawa, was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired- alcohol

·        Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 23, 2025. The individual’s driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded.

Firearm & $10,000 In Tools Recovered – Dylan COMEAU Arrested

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Middlesex County OPP lay charges after break and enter investigation in North Middlesex.

On March 19, 2025, at 11:45 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Sylvan Road in North Middlesex, for the report of a break and enter.

Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) forced entry into two storage sheds sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal approximately $10,000 worth of tools, including a firearm. 

On March 21, 2025, members of the Elgin-Middlesex and Lambton Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine (K9) executed a search warrant at an address in Warwick Township, Lambton County.

The stolen firearm along with other property was recovered.

As a result, Dylan COMEAU, a 29-year-old of Arkona, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm
  • Poss of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

The accused was held for bail.

Jonathon FERGUSON – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – A traffic complaint has led to Criminal Charges for a Ramara individual by the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On March 24, 2025, at 3:45 pm, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the City of Orillia. The suspect vehicle was located at the driver’s residence, where alcohol was observed within the vehicle. Officers launched an impaired operation investigation, and a demand for an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was read. The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a reading of ‘FAIL’ at which point the driver was arrested. They were transported back to the Orillia OPP Detachment where further testing was completed.

As a result of the investigation, Jonathon FERGUSON, 37-year-old from Ramara, has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – 80 plus (CC)

The accused was released with a future court date. Additionally, their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Fatal Collision

(SOUTH GLENGARRY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision in South Glengarry Township.

On March 25, 2025, shortly after 6:00 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road-25 in the South Glengarry Township. A 61-year-old male driver from South Glengarry was pronounced deceased at scene.

The SD&G OPP continues to investigate, with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and a Collision Reconstructionist.

Regan ESQUIMAUX – Drunk Driving

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after a traffic stop in Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Worthington Street in Little Current for a sobriety check. Further investigation on scene resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Regan ESQUIMAUX, 30-years-old from Little Current, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on May 6, 2025.

Darryl MCDONALD Facing Numerous Charges

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing charges after police stopped a stolen motor vehicle on Highway 17.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a stolen vehicle by the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system. Police safely brought the vehicle to a stop on Highway 17 in the Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, and further investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.

As a result, Darryl MCDONALD, 35-years-old from Chilliwack, British Columbia, was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Refusal to comply with demand
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
  • Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on April 9, 2025.

Prescription Medicine Results In Impaired Charge

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – On March 24, 2025 at 9:09 a.m., officers of the Huntsville O.P.P. were conducting school zone patrols on Muskoka Rd 3 North when they observed a vehicle driving erratically. 

Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the female driver. The interaction quickly evolved into a drug investigation and a passenger was arrested. During the interaction with the driver, it became apparent she was under the influence and was arrested for impaired driving. The driver advised she had only consumed her own prescription medication recently. The driver was taken to a Drug Recognition Officer for drug testing.

As a result of the investigation, Jennifer Barager, 41 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on April 29 , 2025.

The vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and the accused was also a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension.

Also charged in this incident is Sara Dexter, 29 yrs old of Huntsville. She has been charged with;

·      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      CC 91(2) Unauthorized Possession of Weapon

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on April 29 , 2025.

Prescription medication is a drug and can impair your ability to drive

This event could have easily been avoided had the driver planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs. Don’t include alcohol or drugs in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.

Jessica KINGDON – Drunk Driving

(POINT EDWARD, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired operation following a traffic stop in Point Edward.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 11:59 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Venetian Boulevard, north of Exmouth Street, Point Edward.

As a result, Jessica KINGDON, 38-year-old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 15, 2025.

Christina WEBB – Drunk Driving

(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Warwick Township.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Forest Road, north of London Line.

As a result, Christina WEBB, 45-year-old of Petrolia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, Liquor Licence and Control Act, and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 10, 2025.

Jonathan Morgan Was Arrested

(ZORRA, ON) – An individual from Thamesford is facing charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Road 68 in the Township of Zorra.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment were dispatched to Road 68 in the Township of Zorra for a report of a traffic complaint that was occurring between multiple motor vehicles.

Officers attended and located all the vehicles involved.

Jonathan Morgan, 30-years-old, of the Thamesford, has been charged with:  

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm

There were no reported injuries because of this incident.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 22, 2025.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Two individuals have been charged as a result of a drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

At approximately 4:56 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU, with support from the OPP West Region Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team, and Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at an address on Imperial Street in Delhi, Norfolk County, as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

After entering the residence on the property, officers took two individuals into custody without incident.

During searches of the residence and surrounding property, officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with replica handguns, prohibited weapons, Canadian currency, and various drug-related paraphernalia. A red 1997 Honda FourTrax all-terrain vehicle, previously reported stolen from a Norfolk County address, was also recovered.

46-year-old Denise STALEY from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon (two counts),
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts),
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

47-year-old Kyle YOUNG from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon (two counts),
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada,
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts),
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts),
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (two counts),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin),
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine,
  • Driving while under suspension (two counts).

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, March 24, 2025.

One Dead – Kevin SCHOENFELDT Arrested

(NORTH ALGONA WILBERFORCE TWP, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged the driver of a tractor involved in a fatal collision in North Algona Wilberforce (NAW) Township.

On September 26, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m. police were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 41 at Walsh Road involving a motorcycle and a farm tractor. The driver of the motorcycle, a 76-year-old male from Renfrew, was transported to hospital by ambulance and died a short time later. The driver of the farm tractor was not injured.

On March 18, 2025, the driver of the tractor, 64-year-old Kevin SCHOENFELDT of NAW, was charged with careless driving causing death under the Highway Traffic Act. The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court in the City of Pembroke on April 28, 2025. 

The investigation was conducted with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) members.

28 Year Old Arrested Following Collision

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged following a collision in Leamington.

On March 24, 2025, at approximately 1:35 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 33 South and Mersea Road 2 in the Municipality of Leamington. 

Santos MARTINEZ LOPEZ, 28-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on April 11, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Police Cruiser Damaged In Wingham – Mason SITLER-PAYNE Arrested After Struggle

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident that took place at a location on Josephine Street in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron on Wednesday March 19th, 2025.   

Just after 10:20 p.m., police investigated damage that had been done to an OPP patrol vehicle which had been parked and unattended. Police located the suspect, who fled on foot and was arrested shortly after a brief struggle with police. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had also moved storm drain covers, creating a hazard for motorists and pedestrians.

Mason SITLER-PAYNE, 28 years of age of North Huron has been charged with:

–      Mischief Under $5,000,

–      Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property,

–      Resist Peace Officer.

The accused was additionally charged with an offence under the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).

The accused was processed and later released from custody with an appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 28, 2025.
