Christopher ROBERTSON Was Arrested Again

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – Police arrested and charged one person with multiple offences after responding to a break and enter.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, at approximately 7:55 a.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break, enter and theft from a garage earlier that morning from a property on Arthur Street, West Nipissing.

As a result of the investigation, police identified and located the involved individual. 

Christopher ROBERTSON, 29 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with:

  • Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Break and enter a place and steal a firearm
  • Theft Under $5000
  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 7, 2025, in North Bay.

Trevor BAILEY-SLEZSAK Was Arrested

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after police were called to a local establishment.

On April 5, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call reporting a possible impaired driver. Shortly after, police located the vehicle and requested a breath sample from the driver using an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver refused to comply and as a result was placed under arrest.

The driver, Trevor BAILEY-SLEZSAK, 25-years-old from Espanola, was charged with failure to comply with demand.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on May 5, 2025.

Sandra CARPENTIER Was Arrested

(SHELBURNE, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Orton resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

On March 31, 2025, just before 3:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were dispatched to the area of Centre Street in the Town of Shelburne for a female who was believed to be impaired behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Officers were able to locate the accused shortly thereafter. After a brief conversation, the officers quickly identified signs that led them to initiate an impaired driving investigation.

Sandra CARPENTIER, a 58-year-old female, from Orton has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

Tyler TIMOTHY Was Arrested Again

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged following a collision in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

On April 4, 2025, at approximately 3:06 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on the County Road 42 westbound on ramp to Highway 401 in the Municipality of Lakeshore. 

Tyler TIMOTHY, 20-years-old of Stoney Point, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
  • Possession of Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Bruce ASHICK – Impaired Operation

(NORTH ALGONA WILBERFORCE TWP, ON) – A driver is facing Criminal Code (CC) charges after an incident in the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment area.

On April 6, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., an OPP officer on patrol discovered a vehicle with three occupants in the ditch on Rankin Rink Road in North Algona Wilberforce (NAW) Township. No injuries were reported. As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. 

As a result of this incident 58-year-old Bruce ASHICK of Laurentian Valley Township has been charged with the following CC offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 5, 2025.

Kenneth IRONS – Criminal Harassment

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – Individual charged with criminal harassment after investigation in Lucan Biddulph.

On March 26, 2025, at 6:23 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), opened a criminal harassment investigation in the Township of Lucan Biddulph.

As a result, Kenneth IRONS, a 27-year-old of Middlesex County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Criminal Harassment – repeatedly communicate

·      Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court (two counts)

The accused was held for bail.

Fatal Collision

(CALLANDER, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred earlier today.

On April 7, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m., The North Bay OPP and North Bay Ambulance responded to a report of a rollover collision on Highway 11 in Callander. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 70-year-old individual from Delhi, Ontario, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team is assisting with the investigation. Highway 11 was closed for approximately four hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene. A postmortem examination has been scheduled for April 11, 2025, in Sudbury.

Amy JOHNSTON Was Arrested

(LONDON, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after vehicle leaves road and enters ditch.

On April 4, 2025, at 8:19 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the Eastbound Lanes of Highway 402 at Woodhull Road in the City of London for the report of a single vehicle collision.

The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.

As a result, Amy JOHNSTON, a 46-year-old of Wallaceburg, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Cannabis Control Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – drugs

·      Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis in open baggage

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 20, 2025.

Stolen Truck Vs Home

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On April 6, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with other emergency services responded to a serious, motor vehicle collision just north of Guelph on Conservation Road near Highway 6. Initial reports indicated that a black pickup truck had left the roadway and struck a single-family dwelling causing extensive structural damage to the home.

Investigation revealed that the pick-up truck had been reported stolen earlier from a business nearby.

The occupant(s) of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. The resident of the home was uninjured.

The Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone in the area if they witnessed anything suspicious or have video surveillance or dashcam footage, to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.

22 Year Old From Owen Sound Arrested

(MONO, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Orangeville resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic complaint.

Vincent RATTANATRAY, a 22-year-old male, from Owen Sound has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•       Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

•      Failure or refusal to comply with demand

•      Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

•      Possess unmarked cigarettes

•      Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

•      Fail to surrender insurance card

•      Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Caledon resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a R.I.D.E. program.

On April 4, 2025, just before 11:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot check in the area of Townline in the Town of Orangeville. A vehicle entered the area and was met by the officers. After a brief conversation, the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.

Wolfgang WRIGHT Was Arrested

(HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after receiving a trespass call.

On April 5, 2025, at approximately 4:00pm, officers from the Peterborough County OPP received a call regarding individuals trespassing at the Cordova Dam located on Fire Route 18. The report stated that there were three individuals at the location and a hole had been cut in the chain-link fence. The report also stated that a tent had been set up and that the three individuals were drinking at the location.

Officers arrived on scene confirming what had been relayed to them and also noted a boat at the shoreline. The individuals were advised that they were currently trespassing and although there were posted signs, one person advised they thought it was crown land.

During the interaction with the parties, it was determined that one of them was currently on a release order with conditions for them to not be within 100 metres of one of the others. As a result, an arrest was made.

Wolfgang WRIGHT (age 23) from Pickering, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Failure to comply with Undertaking

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 6, 2025.

Brandon KOSTIER Was Arrested

(WEST NIPISSINGON) – Police arrested and charged one person with weapons related offences.

On Sunday April 6, 2025, the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting foot patrol on Front Street, West Nipissing, when a known wanted person from a previous occurrence was observed walking.

Police arrested the individual and seized a replica air-handgun and drugs suspected to be methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation, Brandon KOSTIER, 29 years-of-age, from West Nipissing was charged with:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order – five counts

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 7, 2025, in North Bay.

Ashley HARRIS – Drunk Driving

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving a report of a single vehicle collision.

On April 5, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Hayley Road, near Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township.

Police arrived on scene a located a vehicle approximately 20 feet down in a ditch submerged in water. The driver did not require medical attention.

As a result of the investigation, Ashley HARRIS, age 37 of Otter Lake, Quebec was charged with:

·        Operation while impaired- alcohol

·        Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 14, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
