The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a domestic disturbance earlier this month.
On May 2, 2014, a man and woman engaged in a verbal argument at their residence in Wallaceburg. During the argument, the woman threw their internet modem onto the floor causing it to shatter. As the man called 911, the woman struck him in the arm in an attempt to knock the phone out of his hand. The woman left the residence prior to police arrival. The man did not require medical attention.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the woman on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg and she was arrested. The 30-year-old Walpole Island woman has been charged with assault and mischief under $5000. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following an incident in Tilbury last night.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m. police responded to the high school soccer field area in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, a 32-year-old Windsor man reported that he had been pushed and threatened by another man.
Through investigation, a 41-year-old Windsor was charged with assault and uttering threats. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on outstanding warrants for theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000, failing to comply and two counts of breach of probation.
Yesterday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. police located the man on Murray Street in Wallaceburg. The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The Chatham-Kent police have charged a woman with driving without insurance.
Yesterday morning around 10:50 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed a black vehicle travelling northbound on Taylor Avenue in Chatham. The officer queried the licence plates and learned that the insurance status was unconfirmed. The officer initiated a traffic stop to further investigate. The female driver produced an insurance card that appeared valid however through investigation the officer learned that the woman’s insurance had been cancelled in February 2014 for non-payment.
The 48-year-old London woman was charged with driving a motor vehicle with no insurance.
(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting where seven (7) gunshots were fired in the 0-100 block of Norman Street on May 8, 2014 at approximately 1:00am. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service is partnering with Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services again this year for their 14th Annual “Footsteps for Recovery†Walkathon, which raises funds to improve treatment for people with addiction and concurrent mental health issues.
This year’s walkathon will be taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre, 102 Greenview Avenue. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 10:30 a.m.
Ottawa Police Chief Charles Bordeleau will be on-site and participating in the Walkathon.
(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit are investigating a shooting where two (2) gunshots were fired into an apartment building lobby in the 300 block of Murray Street on May 7, 2014 at approximately 12:30am.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person.
Missing is 75 year-old Douglas HOGG of Collingwood, he was last seen at his residence on the 6th of May 2014 at approximately 9:30pm and is possibly in the Greater Toronto Area.
He is described as 5’11†tall with a thin build, brown hair (partly grey) with a moustache and beard. At the time he was wearing a tan colored baseball cap, blue jeans and blue denim jacket. He is possibly driving a silver colored 2003 Dodge Caravan with Ontario plate of AMAJ 073.

(Kemptville, ON.) – Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police have charged an Ottawa woman with fraud and theft charges related to incidences in the City of Ottawa.
The offences occurred between January 2013 and January 2014 and resulted in a loss of over $61,000 to four businesses.
Stephanie Pilon, age 24 of Ottawa was charged with fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000, using forged documents and failing to comply with conditions on an undertaking.

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH)- On May 5, 2014 at 9:56 pm, Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a robbery from the Husky gas station located on Victoria Street East in the Town of New Tecumseth.
A lone male entered the store and while brandishing a knife, made a demand for cash. The male then quickly left the store after an undisclosed amount of money was obtained. The store employee was not injured during the robbery.
Nottawasaga OPP are releasing two surveillance photos and one composite drawing of the male suspect believed involved in the armed robbery from May 5, 2014.
Police are looking for a suspect described as:
Male white
approximately 170-173 cm (5’7â€Â- 5’8â€Â) in height
described as thin in stature
short, dark coloured hair
Clothing:
blue jean pants
a black jacket with a hood over his head
White running shoes.
He also had a black knapsack and was wearing a white scarf over his nose and mouth.

(MATTAWA, ON) – Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police members are investigating three separate thefts of all terrain vehicles (ATV). The thefts occurred in March and May of this year. One ATV was stolen from a business on Highway 17, Mattawa and two were stolen from two different residences on Chenier Road, Papineau-Cameron Township.
ATV’s are described as follows:
2007 CFMO Moto, black in colour;
2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 E, copper in colour; and
1995 Honda 4trax, 300cc, red in colour.

(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On May 6th, 2014 at approximately 6:45 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report that a male was missing from a residence in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
Police are asking for the assistance of the public in locating David PLEWES 58 years old from Wasaga Beach.

160 lbs. (thin build)
Brown straight hair medium length
Brown moustache
Brown eyes
PLEWES was last seen by a neighbour at PLEWES’s residence in Wasaga Beach on March 26th, 2014.
Police and family have concerns for PLEWES’s welfare and want to locate him.
