On Monday September 29, 2025 at 3:07am, police were called to the area of Russell and Wellington Street in Sarnia for a unknown individuals attempting to steal from parked vehicles.
Police arrived and observed two females and a male individual at that intersection. As police were speaking with them, the male began acting suspiciously and refused to remove his hands from his pockets. Detained for the theft investigation, a pat down for weapons was conducted which revealed drug paraphernalia (pipes) and residue. The male, identified as Cody ANDERSON, was place under arrest for drug possession.
A search incident to arrest included a backpack/cross body bag, was found to contain:
- 2.25 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 3.96 grams of cocaine
- 109.5 grams of MDMA
- $481.35 in assorted bills.
- Other evidence indicative of drug trafficking
At the time of this offence, ANDERSON was subject to a probation order.
The two females were released at the scene. Investigation into the theft from vehicles was not able to be substantiated with the information available.
Cody ANDERSON (34 years) of no fixed address in Sarnia was held for bail on charges of:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Fail to comply with probation
Following his bail hearing, ANDERSON was remanded into custody by the court.
