(ORILLIA, ON) – On Thursday April 24, 2014, members of the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, including the Street Crime Unit (SCU), Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and the Canine Unit made drug arrests at a Memorial Avenue address.
Officers arrested two females after observing what they believed to be a drug transaction. After further investigation a male party was arrested leaving a Memorial Avenue address. The arrests led to a warrant being executed at the Memorial Avenue address and police seized a quantity of drugs consisting of the following:
1 gram Cannabis Resin
2.5 grams of Marihuana
3.4 grams of Heroin
45 grams of Cocaine
3 hydromorphone pills
Police also seized scales, cell phones and a quantity of cash.
Jeremy JOHN, 42 years old from Orillia has been charged with various drug offences and was held in custody. His next court date is May 5, 2014.
Meghan WALSH, 26 years old from Oro Medonte has been charged with various drug offences. She was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court date in Orillia on June 3, 2014.
Nina NUTBEAN, 28 years old from Orillia has been charged with Possession of Cocaine. She was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court date in Orillia on June 3, 2014.
