(HALIBURTON, ON) – On May 09, 2014 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haliburton Highlands Detachment responded to theft of copper wire from a commercial property on Cedar Avenue in the Municipality of Dysart et al Ontario. OPP attended the property which is owned by Bell Canada and observed that sometime prior to noon on May 09, 2014 unknown suspect(s) entered through the fence to gain access to the yard and stole copper wire from 4 cable spools. The value of the wire is estimated to be $10,000. The investigation is on-going at this time and police are requesting the public’s assistance and asking that anyone with information pertaining to the case contact the Haliburton Highlands OPP.
