(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bracebridge detachment has charged a young male after he was found travelling 178 km/hour in a posted 100 km/hour zone.
On May 15, 2014 at 12:40 am a vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed Northbound on Highway 11 in Bracebridge. The vehicle was found by police to be travelling 178 km/hour in the posted 100 km/hour zone. The vehicle was stopped near Taylor Road on Highway 11. The male driver had his license seized and suspended for 7 days, and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
The 17-year-old male driver from Toronto has been charged with
HTA 172(1) Race Motor Vehicle
The male will appear in Bracebridge court on June 24, 2014 to answer to his charge.
