(NAPANEE, ON)- The Highway Safety Division of OPP is investigating a single motor vehicle collision that took place on the Highway 401 east bound just west of Shannonville Rd on May 22nd at approximately 11:23 am. An officer from the Central Hastings OPP was on general patrol and observed a vehicle, a white Honda Accord travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was travelling southbound on Highway 62 and went onto the 401 travelling eastbound.
The vehicle struck a concrete barrier and skidded out of control, crossing two (2) lanes of traffic and hit the rock cut.
Charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Flight while Pursued by a Peace Office contrary to the Criminal Code is 57 year-old Margaret HENRY of Mississippi Mills, Ontario.
She was held for a Bail Hearing and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on May 23, 2014.
