(CALEDON, ON) – On May 21, 2014 members from the Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) executed a warrant at a Village of Bolton residence. The warrant recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be Psilocybin and Marijuana. The street value is estimated at $5,000.00. Police also seized drug paraphernalia, a cell phone and cash.
Steven Michael BAVERSTOCK, 34, from Bolton and Tyler WRIGHT, 29, from British Columbia were arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. BAVERSTOCK is also charged with Breach of Recognizance for failing to abide by his condition to reside in a neighbouring community.
The accused’s were held in custody overnight and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 27, 2014.
