(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 23, 2014 at approximately 10:48 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned motorist who advised that they had observed a 2009 Toyota being driven erratically on Victoria Road in Puslinch Township.
Officers located the vehicle on Highway 6 at Wellington Road 36 that matched the description provided by the complainant. Police spoke with the driver discovered that he had been drinking as well exhibited signs of possible impairment. The driver was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) which he performed poorly. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Rockwood Operation Centre for further testing.
Suban XAVIER aged 30 of Hamilton has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada as well as Class G2 License Holder – B.A.C. above Zero. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on June 20, 2014 to answer to the charges.
The Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
