BREAK AND ENTER IN LAKESIDE – UPDATE – FACIAL APPROXIMATION RELEASED

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to investigate two complaints of break and enters in the last two weeks where suspects entered homes while occupants were sleeping.

On Monday May 19, 2014 police received a report that an unknown suspect had entered a residence in the Lakeside area of Kenora around 4:30 am. One of the occupants woke up and saw the suspect in the residence. The suspect fled the scene upon waking the occupant.

As a result of a media release on May 20, 2014 about the Lakeside incident, OPP received another complaint of a similar incident on May 16, 2014. Police were advised that an unknown suspect entered a home in the South Park Subdivision around 4:00 am. The occupant woke and saw the suspect in the residence. The suspect fled the scene.

A witness was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect. An OPP Forensic Artist/Reconstruction Analyst completed a facial approximation of the suspect. (see photo attached to this release).

The investigation is continuing.
