(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several break and enters that occurred in the Lakeside Area in the last few days.
On Friday May 30, 2014 at around 8:00 am police received a report that a resident came home to find someone had forced entry into the residence overnight. The homeowner was not at home when the break in occurred. Nothing appeared stolen in the residence.
On Saturday, May 31 2014 at 2:40 am, police received a call that a male suspect had entered a residence in the Lakeside area. The resident woke up and confronted the suspect who fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with black curly hair.
Police are also investigating two break ins to garages in the Lakeside area. On Tuesday June 3, 2014 police received reports of two garages being entered on First Street South. The suspect entered through a window in one and an insecure door in the other. A GPS was stolen from one of the garages.
The investigations into the incidents are continuing.
