OPP INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS FIRES

(Asphodel Norwood Township, ON) – On Sunday June 8, members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of two separate intentional fires in Asphodel Norwood.

At approximately 5:13 p.m. officers and members of the Asphodel Norwood Fire Department were called to a large grass fire on Ridge Street. The attending Fire personal were able to control and extinguish the grass fire which appeared to have been purposefully set.

Officers at the same time were called to a private residence on Mills Street where unknown suspects had burned a Political sign that had been on the front yard of the home owner.

No suspects have been identified in either incident however both are under investigation at this time.
