(HAMILTON TWP, ON) – On June 8, 2014 at 2:40pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two car motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Burnham St and Telephone Rd in Hamilton Township.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries in what could be best described as a ‘head on’ collision.
As a result of observations by the police officers at the scene, the male driver of one of the vehicles was arrested for impairing driving. He was taken to the Cobourg OPP detachment where he provided breath samples.
As a result of these tests, Patrick Devison 20 years old of Port Hope is charged with the following offences:
– Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle
– Drive motor vehicle while exceeding .08 mg (over 80)
– Dangerous driving
– G2 licence, Blood Alcohol Content above zero
Devison was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on June 18, 2014 at 9:30am.
