(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at approximately 9:23 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a cyclist struck by a vehicle on Hwy. 6 & 21, at the entrance to the Grey County Mall on the Sunset Strip, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The suspect vehicle, a red Toyota (model unknown), was travelling eastbound on Hwy. 6 & 21. As the Toyota proceeded to make a left turn into the Grey County Mall, it struck the cyclist, who was riding west bound on Hwy. 6 & 21.
After a brief conversation with the cyclist, the driver of the Toyota left the scene.
The victim, a 17 year old male from Owen Sound, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and released.
The driver of the Toyota was described as female, approximately 50-60 years of age, thin, white hair and wearing glasses. The Toyota’s driver’s side mirror may be damaged or missing.
