(LAKESHORE, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore was called to a disturbance early this morning in the 6000 block of St. Clair Road in Stoney Point.
Officers arrived on scene where witnesses indicated that a fight had occurred in the parking lot. Two victims and the accused had left the scene prior to police arrival.
One victim had been stabbed twice with a knife and the second victim was struck in the head with an object. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The accused, a 27 year old male from Lakeshore, was arrested a short time later and has been remanded into custody pending a court appearance. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
The investigation continues and more charges may be possible.
