On Monday, June 16, 2014, a man checked into the Travellers Motel on Queens Line. When he checked out the following morning, an employee noticed that a 30†Insignia TV valued at $500 had been stolen from the room.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible. Jonathan Boswell, 31 years, of Park Avenue in Chatham was arrested and charged with theft under $5000. He was released pending a future court date.
Police learned that the stolen TV was in possession of another man. Officers attended that man’s residence and right inside the front door, the TV was observed in plain view. Clayton Morgan, 37 years, of Lacroix Street in Chatham was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property obtained by a crime under $5000. Upon being searched incident to arrest, he was also found to be in possession of prohibited spray. He was further charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and breaching a prohibition order. He was released pending a future court date.
