Traffic Stop Leads To Handcuffs For Teen

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – – On Saturday May 10, 2014, at approximately 8:45 a.m. a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Main Street, Sauble Beach, South Bruce Peninsula, when he conducted a vehicle stop on a red 2010 Dodge Charger. While speaking to the driver, evidence of alcohol consumption was detected which lead to further investigation and the driver being arrested.

Subsequent tests indicated that a 17 year old female from Saugeen First Nation Territory, who cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was over the legal limit. She is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on May 27, 2014 to answer to the charges of operate over the legal limit, take motor vehicle without consent and two charges under the highway traffic act.
