OPP Officers Observe Drug Transaction In Palmerston

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On June 9, 2014 at approximately 3:06 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were on James Street, Palmerston and observed a drug transaction take place between a male and female. The male left the area once the transaction was completed and was arrested a short distance away. Officers seized methamphetamine and items related to drug dealing. Shortly after the arrest, officers located the female and made an arrest seizing methamphetamine and oxycodone. Further investigation revealed, the male was also breaching a condition of his Probation Order.

Jason LAMBLEY age 32 of Palmerston has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Breach of Probation and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 10, 2014 for a bail hearing.

Patricia Lee-Ann HAMILTON age 37 of Palmerston has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is also charged with Possession of Oxycodone and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 29, 2014 in Guelph Criminal Court to answer to the charges.
