Man Charged with Impaired Driving

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving early this morning in Thamesville.

Around 2:30 a.m. police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Lamila Street. Upon the officer’s arrival, a man was found to be sitting in the driver’s seat while under the influence of alcohol. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 46-year-old Parkhill man has been charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He remains in police custody and will be released when sober.
