The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On April 24, 2014 the man was charged with obstructing a police officer as he falsely identified himself during an arrest. The man was released from custody with conditions pending a future court. One of the conditions stated that the man was to reside at a specific address on Pine Street in Chatham.
On April 30, 2014 police learned that the man was not residing at that address. Police attempted to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. last night, the 18-year-old man of no fixed address turned himself in to police headquarters. He has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
