On Sunday June 8, 2014 at approximately 5 pm the Barrie Police Service received a call from a staff member at the LCBO on Big Bay Point Rd, they had just refused service to a customer that was intoxicated and was observed getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
Officers were provided a description of the male customer and the licence plate of the vehicle he had left in.
A very short time later the vehicle was stopped by the police and officers formed the opinion that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and placed the male under arrest.
The male was transported to the station where breath samples of over 80 Mgs were obtained.
As a result the 46 year old male was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs, the male was released with a future court date.
