(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday May 22, 2014, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to the intersection of St. George St and Montreal St. in Mitchell where a male was waiting to report an assault that had just occurred.
Investigation revealed that around 11:30 p.m. the man had been walking west bound on Montreal St. between the liquor Store and Mac’s Milk, when he observed three males riding bicycles approach him from the east. One of the males grabbed the man and forced him away from the road. The man was assaulted and money was taken from his pocket. The three males left the scene, riding their bicycles in an east bound direction on Montreal St. The man sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Description of the three suspects;
– Caucasian males, aged 18-24, slender build, no facial hair.
– All three wore dark clothing, had back-packs, and rode BMX style bikes.
– One of the males had a dark coloured baseball cap which he wore backwards.
